NetPartner NetPartner is Tiffin University’s new student financial aid online communication tool. It is an excellent resource for students to access their financial aid and all relevant information. This site offers students the ability to access their financial aid award, documents and other financial information. The web address is: https://finaid.tiffin.edu/NetPartnerStudent/Logon.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fnetpartner student%2fPgHome.aspx All information is “real-time” which means that there is no waiting involved. This significantly decreases the amount of time it takes to notify TU of any changes to a student’s financial aid information, i.e. accepting an award, declining an award. This website is also very user friendly and easy to navigate. For a student’s first visit to the site they will need to create their account. Students should click on the “first time user” link in the LOG-IN box and follow the onscreen prompts. Once the account has been created, students will be taken back to the homepage and will need to enter their Student ID # and Pin # to access their information. Once a student has created their account they are ready to begin using the website. At the top of the page students will see seven tabs. Information can be accessed for each tab by clicking on that particular tab. Initially students should click on the “Awards by Semester” tab to view their actual award and read information about their budget and award. The second step would be to click on the “Accept Awards” tab and read through and accept the disclaimer; they will then view their award and accept and/or decline their financial aid. The third step would be to click on the “Documents” tab and view the documents that are necessary for processing/disbursing their financial aid; to complete one of these document the student can click on the name of the document and it will take them to the webpage to complete the particular document; all documents are sent to us electronically and it typically take 1 – 2 days for TU to receive notification. Students can then view the remaining three tabs for useful information. If a student has any difficulty creating their account or navigating through the information they can call their Financial Aid Counselor, Andrea Draper at 800-968-6446 ext. 3452.

DEGREE COMPLETION REFERRAL PROGRAM Do you know someone interested in completing their Bachelor’s degree? Are you looking for a little extra cash? The Degree Completion Program is looking for students just like you! Here is how it works: All you need to do is put us in touch with someone who is looking for an opportunity to get back on track to completing their college degree. We offer a “referral fee” of $100 to any current student who refers someone who successfully enrolls in a future cohort and completes the first course in the program. The fee will be paid directly to your student account following verification of completion of the first course in the program. There is no limit to the number of students you refer! To refer a potential student to the Degree Completion Program, please click on the link below to provide their contact information. The referral fee program is effective starting with the September 2010 cohort. http://www.tiffin.edu/degreecomp/ referral/ If you have any questions, please contact your advisor or Amy Wood at WoodAR@tiffin.edu or 1-800-9686446, ext. 3372.

CLEP NOTES: Effective July 1, 2010: • CLEP exam fee will increase to $77.00. The $25.00 monitoring fee that Tiffin charges will remain the same. • CLEP will launch two new exams: College Composition and College Composition Modular. The two new exams will replace three current composition exams: English composition, English Composition with Essay, and Freshman College Composition. These three exams will retire on June 30, 2010. College Composition (with essay) will be the Tiffin equivalent of ENG 141 and will require a score of 50. Analyzing and Interpreting Literature will remain the Tiffin equivalent of ENG 142 and will require a score of 50. Always contact your advisor before taking any CLEP exam.

REPEATED ACTS OF ACADEMIC DISHONESTY 1. Upon a finding by a faculty member that a student has committed an act of academic dishonesty, the faculty member may assign a grade of “XF”. The faculty member will provide the Dean of Degree Completion Programs with documentation of the circumstances surrounding the occurrence. 2. A tracking mechanism and database is maintained by the Registrar’s Office to identify students who receive a grade of “XF”. The Dean of Degree Completion Programs will be notified when a student receives an “XF”. In the case of individual instances of academic dishonesty that are not severe enough to lead

to a grade of “XF”, but are severe enough to lead to a student failing an individual assignment, faculty members will report these cases of academic dishonesty to the Dean of Degree Completion Programs. The process through which these instances are documented and handled, including any remediation, is at the discretion of the faculty of the respective schools. 3. First Occurrence - Upon the submission of a grade of “XF” the student will be placed on academic probation. The student will be required to undergo remediation and a warning letter from the Dean of Degree Completion Programs will be sent to the student notifying the student that the receipt of a second “XF” will result in permanent dismissal. 4. Second Occurrence - All second occurrences will be reviewed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs to confirm the dismissal. 5. Grades of “XF” will be expunged from the student’s record upon dismissal, transfer or graduation from Tiffin University.

Alumni Discount for Graduate Students!
