Tell us about your experience in the Criminal Justice field. I possess nearly thirty years of professional criminal justice leadership expertise. I am recently retired from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. My law enforcement career has included positions as a State Trooper in Colorado, Undercover Special Agent for the State of Ohio, and a Deputy with the Richland County Sheriff‘s Department. I served as firearms, driving and multiple subjects’ instructor for my department, and was one of the county’s crisis negotiators. I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1999 after serving, six years of active duty and fourteen years in the Army Reserves, as a Special Agent/ Criminal Investigator, spending the last eight years with the protective service unit. I served as the Assistant Agent-in- Charge, Team Leader, Advance Leader and Control Room Agent on many missions throughout the world for the Secretary of State, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Secretary of Defense.
