WARSAW ZINE SB8 The briefThis was a self initiated brief that was sparked from an inspirational trip to Warsaw in January. It was a small documentary based zine about the time we spent there.
Research and Materials Given that this was a passion project, the materials used were completely personal. 35mm film photographs were used to document the city, and made into collage materials. Various photographs from our time there were used to draw from. The research was purely first hand, and built from personal experience.
Development Collaged photos and line drawings made up the collection. By using the photocopier I was able to experiment in depth with collage. Development of process and the exploration of media and composition was pushed forward.
Final Outcome I was pleased with the outcome, as the aesthetic and composition of each page changes and is quite interesting. Interning in Warsaw is something I would like to do, so this zine, that celebrates and documents our time there, could be sent to various studios. This zine could exist in coffee shops, art shops, and independent book stores.
