Mr. RiteNow Is that Swizz Beatz? No. Is that Jazzy Phae? Heck No. Well who in the front door is this producer? They call him Mr. RiteNow, because he doesn’t believe in procrastination, yet he believes in getting whatever it is done “Right NOW!” If there’s a beat going through his head while he’s driving, we bet you he’d pull over right now to lay it down. As a matter of fact, Muzik Mill Radio’s Muzik Talk host, TimberlyK The Entertainer, spoke directly with Mr. RiteNow, who was headed down I-95 South, but decided to “pull over right now” for the interview! Talk about getting her done!

uzik Mill.com was the first to bring you the premier of the new Russ Parr movie “The Undershepherd”, one of the most influential movies of the year. The movie was written, directed and produced by radio personality and entertainer Russ Parr, from the syndicated “Russ Parr Morning Show”. Parr has directed several movies, including “Something like a Business”, “Love for Sale”, and “35 and Ticking”. While these movies depended on comedy, especially from actors like Kevin Hart and Clifton Powell, he didn’t want to be “pigeonholed” into making just comedies. “I don’t want people to think that (I’m) a somewhat funny guy and will only make comedies… (The movie) has some fun moments, but it’s a hard core drama. Parr felt there was a “story to be told. I wanted to take something real and tangible... that’s happening in some churches, not all, but some. And I think I’ve accomplished that in this film. © 2012 MUZIK MILL MAGAZINE
During the early morning on the day of his movie premier, Russ Parr realizes there will be some people in the church that will take issue with the movie. The Undershepherd tackles the story of a preacher caught in the money and power of the church. Parr feels there is an “idolization. People who are struggling, saying, ‘I want my pastor to drive a Mercedes Benz. I want my pastor to live in a nice house. It didn’t make sense to me. And so, you know, I think the big thing for me is we see so many people are just looking for someone to look up to. That’s why it’s heartbreaking when something like Bishop Eddie Long happens. Or you find out your favorite pastor is cheating on his wife.” The Undershepherd has had numerous successes in the independent film circuit, recently being praised at the African American Film Festival in April. However, the film is struggling to get distribution.

The UnderShepherd Review
Parr has been vocal about the lack of acceptance and promotion of dramatic films starring African American casts, such as Red Tails, and the overwhelming support for the lighter comedies. “I feel ‘35 and Ticking’ wasn’t my best script. But people feel in love with it. And once you get a couple of the actors, everyone else follows. The Undershepherd was my favorite script. But I held onto it because I was looking for someone to spend money on it. So I’ve pretty much invested in all of my movies and lost my ass in all of them.” Since the interview, there has been hope for sophisticated movies made by and for African Americans with the success of “Think like a Man”. Distribution companies won’t support these movies unless we continue to go and show we want to see these movies made and on the big screen, and not straight to DVD. Muzik Mill Magazine will continue to support the independent artist on all levels! -Written By R. Stevenson, 2012

MONICA RAYE
here are three words that describe Monica Raye: Smooth, Sultry, Soul. Her influence from the church, blessed with the undeniable soul in her voice, provides a complete sound for those who are looking to hear real R&B. A combination of a silky soprano and a full, rich Alto gives her comparison to Ledesi. When you hear her live, however, all comparisons go out the door, as she stands alone in her vocal ability. She is currently making her rounds in the South, doing shows around the Carolinas and Georgia.

This
young, unique, and charismatic gentleman is the definition of Swag. He actually defines his demeanor as being what he calls “Swagtastic,” which is one of his hit singles, by the way. We heard the “Swagtastic” cut a couple months ago and played it during a Muzik Talk interview conducted by TimberlyK The Entertainer, only on Muzik Mill Radio. Upon throwing Young Mayor in the “SPOTLIGHT,” we seemed to catch him a little off guard, but he didn’t hesitate. This dude picked right up and was still encouraged after we awarded him with, “a Smiley Face.” “A Smiley Face? Not a smiley face,” he stated out of humor. We really enjoyed his humbleness in this interview, as well as his respect for music, and his ability to deliver it, giving the people what they want! Therefore, we, here at Muzik Mill Magazine, award Young Mayor with 4.5 Muzik Mill Mics! © 2012 MUZIK MILL MAGAZINE

Divine Law
They call her Miss International. Why? Because she’s all over the place… globally known for her astounding tunes. ATL’s own Divine Law is hot on the Hip Hop market, and ready to climb to the top of the industry’s list of the hottest female rappers. She told us that her experience as a semi-finalist on the UPN reality series, “R U The Girl” with T-Boz and Chilli from TLC, really made her grow into the fine emergent performing artist she is today. Therefore, after reviewing her hit single “Miss International,” Muzik Mill has decided to award Divine Law with 4.5 Mics! © 2012 MUZIK MILL MAGAZINE

This super star has been gracing us with her presence since forever.
Who is Rhona Bennett, aka “Miss R&B?” Did you really just ask us that? You better recognize! Let us tell you where you may know her from. Rhona was “Nicole,” Jamie’s co-worker at Jingles 2000, on the Jamie Foxx Show. Remember the “Plain White Rice” jingle battle between her and Jamie? Yeah, that’s her! She sopped Jamie up like he was the gravy on top of that same “Plain White Rice!” Remember the illustrious Soul/ Pop sensation called En Vogue from back in the 90s? Rhona eventually took the spotlight after the group began breaking apart. Her smooth vocals kept the group together like a bottle of rubber cement glue. Now let’s go back even further. Who is King Ruffin? Is he another
typical Down South Georgia Boy? No! This Augusta, GA native from Hyde Park has been an experienced rapper since he was 8 years old. Since then, he’s been perfecting his musical craft with hands-on industry experience. King’s swag is different, yet his lyrics are very original. His musical style is like no other rapper on the market, but his vibes, like other Hot A-List Artists, are sure to make heads bop, hands clap, feet move, and booties shake! This 80’s Baby is a true Hit Maker with catchy hooks and unique punch lines that are sure to make you dance and sing along to his cuts. King Ruffin is currently recording, yet he’s in the process of pushing two new smash hit singles: The dance craze called “Uncle Ben” and the street anthem by Pole Muzik called “Paper Chaser!” This family oriented buzz maker lives by the quote, “On My Brother Antiono Ruffin I will Not Fail,” and he WILL NOT fail, for failure is not an option to this rap artist, so be on the lookout for major hits from King Ruffin, bumping soon on a speaker near you! Is that Lil’ Boosie? Heck Naw!
It’s JQ of Bottley Productions and we’re almost positive that he’s tired of being mistaken for his younger cousin, hip hop sensation Lil’ Boosie. However, JQ has been in the rap game for quite some time, and he’s definitely been “Sky Fly Floatin!” We heard and played his hit single “Sky Fly Floatin” when TimberlyK The Entertainer first interviewed him on Muzik Mill Radio’s Muzik Talk earlier this year. We recently aired the single on the newest Muzik Mill Radio show called “Pump it or Dump It,” where fans of independent artists call in or vote online letting the show hosts know to “Pump It” if they like it or “Dump It” if they don’t like it. “Sky Fly Floatin’” received 100% “PUMP ITs.” Therefore, Team Muzik Mill hereby awards JQ with Five Muzik Mill Mics encouraging him to continue to “Pump It!”
