Futura & Didot San Serif Shown Visually Typography, Illustrator, Poster These two differently styled posters are made to showcase the history, anatomy, and use of famous but different typefaces. One font showcased here is a very popular san-serif font, Futura. To show the time period from which it was made, the 1920s, the poster is designed in the art style, Bauhaus. This can be seen in strong geometric styling with bold and bright color choice of red and yellow. The other poster shows off another san-serif font, Didot. To show off its classic styling, it uses alternating colors of a light shade of tan and a dark shade of brown to demonstrate its class and age. This was made to replicate the style of older literature like 1800’s naval maps. On both of the posters shown, you can see the brief description featuring uses, the creator, when it was created and type anatomy icons showing off specific elements unique to the type. The audience for these pieces is anyone who enjoys type/simple designs. I validate the effectiveness of it being appealing to the eye, informative, and a clean design.

It is an anatomical looking heart done in a fragmented design of red and gray rectangular shapes. It was screen-printed on it, available in dark colored cotton shirt, tri–blend shirt, tank top, and pullover sweatshirt. The design was a reprise on one of my original design, “Rise”, a rising fist done in the same style of fragmented design of red and gray rectangular shapes. The last design and the newest is “Graphic T-Shirt”. It is a shirt with a handwritten looking kanji that translates to “Graphic T-shirt”. It is screen-printed, available in multiple colored tri–blend shirts including Indigo, Heather Grey, and Vintage Turquoise.
