Journalists, military soldiers, teachers, and so many more were arrested or imprisoned because President Erdoğan believed that they were involved with the coup. People are afraid that President Erdoğan will gain too much power and start dictating the country.

About The Author Koosje Voogt was born on 20 July 2004. She is a seventh-grader student at IICS. This is her fourth year at IICS. Koosje's passions are singing, acting, and spending time outside. Koosje has two brothers, her older brother Rijk is in eighth grade, and her little brother Willem is in fifth grade. She has a dog called Sarah, and is three at the moment.
