THERE’S MORE TO L VE AT TINLEY PARK - PARK DISTRICT
WE DID IT!
We officially closed on the former Tinley Park Mental Health Center site for only $1 on February 23, 2024. We are working to clean up 280 acres using $15 million in state grant funding.
We are so proud to be turning this blighted property into another reason to love Tinley parks! Our Board of Commissioners Donald Cuba, Bernie O’ Boyle, Lisa O’Donovan, Ashley Rubino, and Marie Ryan have shown great leadership to get us to this point.
After over a decade, the Park District is well underway to clean up the property for redevelopment. Now that’s progress!
The inauguaral Remediate 280 Committee meeting was held on February 8, 2024. Future committee meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the second Thursday of the month at Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center. Scan the code to find the committee agendas, minutes and meeting schedule for 2024.
