Brightwells Cheltenham, results speak louder than words... 8 out of the 10 highest prices paid for N.H. Horses in Training in the UK, were achieved at the Cheltenham Sales in 2010. Why?... This has been achieved by selecting the best horses and subsequently producing impressive returns for vendors and great results on the track for purchasers. It is a proven concept that benefits both vendors and purchasers. We are flattered that there are imitations arising which proves the format and helps us focus on maintaining leadership in the approach. In 2010, 14 horses were sold between £100,000 and £260,000, 5 of which sold for £200,000 and above. This season the Cheltenham Sales have already produced 8 Graded winners of 10 races, including 4 Grade 1’s, with a further 125 individual winners of 169 races.

...Success The most significant incentive for owners to buy at a sale is the success of its graduates. The racecourse success for Cheltenham Sales graduates Peddlers Cross, Minella Class and Realt Dubh, all Grade 1 winners this season, continues to attract owners who wish to increase their involvement in owning horses capable of winning races at the highest level. Unsurprisingly, the Cheltenham Sales have increased their market share of National Hunt Horses in Training sold in the UK from 13% in 2007 to 42% in 2010. Matt Mitchell Head of Brightwells Bloodstock said “By maintaining quality standards in the selection process and aided by the superb Cheltenham facility, Brightwells will continue to produce outstanding results for both vendors and purchasers.

Unique selling point a benefit to all Richard Pugh on the changing way in which Irish pointers are reaching the British market. “…time has proved that selling in the Brightwells arena at Cheltenham has been a huge success and one of those unusual ideas in business which benefits all parties: buyer, seller and indeed the sport in general. Buyers have been able to build up trust that each season’s crop from Brightwells has been selected carefully and subsequent success has been testament to this. Of importance, too in building confidence was Brightwells move to become the first sale to pre-vet pointers”. Racing Post Ireland Wednesday March 31st 2010
