Becoming Us G Timothy Gordon We are returned to what lay beneath the beauty. — Jack Gilbert

Storms raging elsewhere out there, country, culture, old order unhinged, pitch-black fires not lit by dead-summer Sonoran heat, dawn-stoked 110°, & climbing, like blunt June blue moon, while we hunker-down for years, it seems, One World Together at Home, yearning for human heat & grand passion, full flowering life we thought we knew, willing to settle, fast-track color and fall into bitter winter, countless, moonless nights swiping the iPhone, bingeing the tube, home fires blazing.

G Timothy Gordon lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico. His eighth book, Dream Wind, was published December 2019 (Spirit-of-the-Ram Press). Work appears in AGNI, American Literary Review, Cincinnati Review, Kansas Quarterly, Louisville Review, Mississippi Review, New York Quarterly, Phoebe, RHINO, Sonora Review, Texas Observer, among others. Everything Speaking Chinese received Riverstone Books’ Poetry Book Prize. Recognitions include NEA & NEH Fellowships, residencies, and several Pushcart nominations. His chapbook, Empty Heaven, Empty Earth, will be published Spring-Summer 2021. He divides professional & personal lives among Asia, the Southwest, & Maine.
