MAKING in the 100 YEARS
A gallon of gas set you back just fourteen cents to the dollar, the exploration of King Tut’s tomb was afoot, and the Yankees pitched their first game inside what would one day become an iconic stadium. The year was 1923 and the Earth’s population sat just shy of two billion. 2,910,000 births were recorded in the United States that year including Bob Barker, Alan Shepard, Hank Williams, and Harold Tivol.
The world was changing, rapidly. 100 years and an increase of six billion to the population, the world is a different place than it was a century ago. Advancements in modern technology, transportation, and access to knowledge help us to have a greater understanding of where we came from, how we value our time together, and where we go from here.
