helmut lang . . . contemporary Fashion brand created by self-taught austrian designer, helmut lang, launched in the late 1980s. the brand epitomizes minimalism and a focus in continous innovation. known for its sharp cut, raw and architectural elements, the aesthetic it embodies was and still is influential. helmut lang created a new design language.
uniqlo . japanese casualwear designer, maufacturer and retailer whose concept began in the 1940s. they provide apparel that is basic never boring, product that is of the time and for the time. uniqlo is simple in appearance but hides thoguhtful details to make better. they deliever you timeless style that is affortable and accesible to all.
Helmut Lang exceeds in detail and structure while Uniqlo masters in fabric significance and an eclectic palette of colors. Merging the focus each brand possess and what they offer, we came up with a happy medium. We look at Uniqlo, being that they’re made up of basics, as a clean canvas waiting to be utilized by color, detail, trial and error. With Helmut Lang already in mind from the start we brainstormed as to what company would be the best fit for them to collaborate with. Being that Helmut Langs aesthetic remains consistent, we needed a company who as well has consistency seen throughout their products offered. Uniqlo fit the criteria perfectly. Our focus is to form an alliance between the two brands and deliver our customer pieces carrying simplistic features with the right amount of edge for the Fall and Winter seasons. This collaboration will provide staple items that are timeless and effotless. We want to put our customer at ease when putting together an ensemble for the day. We want to provide fundamental, necessary items with unique clear detailing. Pieces that appear to have had an intricate concept prior to it being made.
This compilation of images should potray a feeling of boldness with a moderate soft touch. it’s inspired by linear lines and eye-catching designs that show a light blend with organic shapes. It is quite rich in color considering that its the mood behind a fall/ winter collection. However, those seasons are surely gearing towards a more radiant color palette in regards to apparel
Typically any fun, vibrant city girl with impeccable taste that has meaningful reasoning behind what and why she consumes certain things yet is very easy going of a person.
