Honey Grove Special Called City Council Meeting – Windmill Farms and Easements for Water Service Discussed
By Rose Schwartz
Thursday, April 28, 2022, Honey Grove Mayor Claude Caffee called to Order at
7:00 p.m. in the Hall-Voyer Library-Lyday Hall, a Special Called Honey Grove City Council meeting. An Invocation was led by Mayor Caffee
07/02/19 time, the
after which he noted for Roll Call that all the aldermen were present at the meeting with the exception of Kenney Massey. 4. Public Forum: At this
Council will listen to any member of the audience who would like to speak on any subject matter, whether or not that item
is on the agenda. All comments are limited to a maximum of three (3) minutes per speaker. Personal attacks (including slanderous state-

ments), unfounded statements or allegations, profane language is disorderly and will result in forfeiture of remain speaking time, and possible removal from the room. Consistent with the Open Meetings Act, council members are prohibited from discussing or taking action on any items not listed on the agenda. When your name is called, please come to the front and state your name and address clearly before making your comments. Thank you: Mayor Caffee noted that there may have been mistaken information making the rounds that this meeting would be a hearing for a matter soon to be addressed but that it was not. That being said, he acknowledged County Judge Randy Moore was invited to speak as well as Attorney Newt Cunningham to share their knowledge on this topic. After noting there could be no interaction between the City Council and the speakers he also noted speakers are allowed three minutes to address the council. Mayor Caffee then asked Judge Moore to speak.

Judge Moore shows map of proposed land and Windmill locations to Honey Grove City Council. Photo by Connie Estes Judge Moore began by stating the reason for his attendance at the meeting was due to his being approached by a company wanting to erect windmills in this area. Noting how it is sometimes difficult to disassociate oneself from county business and to what your personal feelings are, he explained how his leanings are on the conservationist side and how he has personally witnessed by traveling to visit family in Abilene, how windmills have significantly increased throughout the countryside. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-19
A few weeks elapsed between the time of our Liberation by the Russian military and our evacuation from Stalag Luft I by planes that were a part of the US AAC (United States Army Air Corps). VE Day had not yet happened! So officially, we were still at war with Germany. But in time, permission was granted and some 200 B-17’s began the air lift. This meant that our

Stalag Luft days were over and our destination for rehabilitation at Camp Lucky Strike could begin. Plane load by plane load was marched to the airport just outside the city of Barth. On the way we had to pass one of the concentration camps where great numbers of holocaust victims had died in Hitler’s gas chambers. We saw grounds that had been limed down where bodies of other victims had been found. It was a heart rendering experience. We were grateful to have been spared this torture. Once aboard the plane, we lifted off and the pilot circled where we were able to get a view of our prison camp and the Baltic Sea surrounding it. Then it was on to Le Havre, France some three hours away. We would begin rehabilitation there. Our physical needs would be met. It was good to be under the control of our American military again. A spiritual truth that the

flight suggested to me is found recorded in the Bible and is located in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17. I hope that you will take the time to read it. Paul reminds us that at the time of Jesus second coming, there will be a lift off from the planet for all who are prepared to spend eternity in heaven. The Scripture tells us that those who have died will be caught up to meet Him in the air and “Shall forever be with the Lord”. The flight from Stalag was a flight to freedom. It brought unspeakable joy. The flight from planet earth to be with our Saviour and our loved ones will be an incomparable, inseparable and an unending joy. Please be sure you are prepared.

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18 recognizes that while we can’t control everything, we should try our best to seek peace. For instance, you can’t control someone else’s anger or vitriol, but you can control yourself. By controlling our words, our actions, and our conduct, we can encourage peace rather than discord. For example, as believers, we should purposely avoid provoking strife or fighting. Include and make time for GOD this Sunday at 11:00.

Honey Grove Continued from page 1
Changing gears, 5/26/20 he then noted how he believes it is very important that people have all the information and facts regarding any topic affecting them, so they can put anger aside and make informed decisions. Noting that the name of the company looking to establish their windmill farms in this area is Cielo, he displayed a large map to the council and explained how the area they are looking at stretches from south of Dodd City on FM 2077 to south of Honey Grove and if established, could impede future growth of Honey Grove. He continued that the goal of this company is to erect 72 windmills that are 800 ft tall and would involve thousands of acres. He noted the importance of knowing that once someone accepts windmills on their property, their property value will plummet drastically and how it is also important to know that the windmill company has no legal power to demand access to your property. He stated a town hall meeting is needed and will be scheduled to better inform landowners of land values, how windmills affect those values and give the citizenry a chance to ask questions and discuss the matter. When asked where one could obtain more information on this and have a closer view of the map showing the proposed area for the windmill farm, Judge Moore noted the map would be in his office at the Fannin County Courthouse in Bonham on Monday, June 2nd. Attorney Newt Cunningham who resides in Windom, also spoke to voice his opposition to 72 windmills scattered across the countryside with each windmill being 800 ft tall. He compared the appearance of the structures to 40 story buildings one might see in Dallas or New York City and touched on the lessening of the value of the affected properties. 5. New Business – Consider and Take Action On: (A) Fast Fund Grant for new Fire Truck:
7/3/18
Administrative Secretary Sally Wright gave an explanation of the grant that Honey Grove is eligible to apply for that would fund the purchase of a new Fire Truck. Motion to approve applying for the grant was made by Alderman Erik Pevey, seconded by Alderman Benji Hall and motion passed. (B) Property Survey for Utility Easement at 15137 E Hwy 56, Honey Grove, Tx FCAD Property ID #80988: Mayor Caffee explained that this item and items C and D are tied together but will be voted on separately. He explained how the Thurmans own the property in question, are not opposed to the easement and how an easement on their property is needed to provide water services to the owner of the business noted in item C. After some discussion a motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Terry Cunningham to approve the survey with Alderman Erik Pevey seconding the motion which passed. (C) Provide water to the RV Business on HYW 82 (Outside city limits): Mayor Pro Tem Terry Cunningham made the motion to provide water to the business with Alderman Brian Owen seconding the motion which passed. (D) Annexation when the City is requested to supply water to real property outside the City Limits: This item was identified as an information only item with no action needed. (E) Information Item Only: Hidden Grove Utility/Easement Update: Mayor Caffee noted that Alderman Charles Massey would be providing an update to the council on the Hidden Grove Lift Station. After his update, a discussion ensued regarding the smoke testing of lines to determine the location of leakage and broken lines. ( F ) C a n d i d a t e recommendation for Municipal Court Clerk/ City Clerk: A motion was made, seconded and passed to enter into Executive Session to discuss this agenda item at 7:32 p.m. 6. Adjourn: Meeting was to be adjourned following the adjournment of the Executive Session.

All of humanity has an enemy. It is the single most diabolical mind that the world has ever known, and he has a name; the Devil. Jesus refers to him as “the enemy” (Matthew 13:39). Peter was inspired to name him as the “adversary the Devil” (1 Peter 5:8). The Devil “walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). He is gathering followers to disobey God. Jesus told some of the Jews that “Ye are of your father the devil, and
the lusts of your father ye will do” (John 8:44). The Devil also uses PERSECUTION. Jesus wrote to the church at Smyrna, “behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Revelation 2:10). The apostle Paul wrote that “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12). Satan uses people against themselves. We are drawn away from God “of ‘our’ own LUST, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth
sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death” (James 1:14-15). Peter writes that we are to “abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul” (1 Peter 2:11). We are told to “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). Let us not be the enemy, but that we may “tell you the truth” (Galatians 4:16), and “lie not against the truth” (James 3:14). Let us be “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). Let us obey the only true and living God.

As far as desserts go, today’s recipe comes together quickly and ranks high in the fruit satisfaction department. The combination of flaky crust, creamy filling, and fresh fruit makes this dessert irresistible in my book. RUSTIC RASPBERRY LEMON CHEESECAKE TART 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold 4 oz cream cheese, softened 1/3 c. sugar, plus more for sprinkling 2 tbsp. heavy cream 1/3 c. lemon curd, homemade or store-bought 1-pint raspberries 1/4 c. seedless raspberry jam, warmed Powdered sugar For the tart: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat baking mat. Unfold the thawed-out puff pastry on a lightly flour dusted area and gently roll into a 10x11 inch rectangle. Carefully transfer to your baking sheet. Brush edges with a little bit of water and fold over all 4 sides
to create a lip. Using a fork, poke holes all over the center of your tart. Gently brush the entire tart with egg wash and sprinkle about 2 tsp. of sugar over the center. Bake until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and carefully with the back of a spoon press the center back down if it has puffed. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. For the filling: In a bowl combine softened cream cheese and sugar. Mix with a hand-mixer or by hand until smooth and the sugar is well incorporated. Add the heavy cream and mix for about 1 minute. Fold in the lemon curd. To assemble the tart: Carefully spread your lemon cheesecake mixture over the center of your cooled tart crust. Arrange berries decoratively over the curd and drizzle with the warmed jam. Dust the tart with powdered sugar. This tart is best made and eaten on the same day. Other berries would be lovely as well. Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries or a combination would also be great! I think this dessert would be perfect for your Mother’s Day meal! I want to wish all the moms a Happy Mother’s Day! Please send me your favorite or unique recipes to Fannin County Leader at 224 N. Main St. Bonham, TX 75418 or email me: fclsales@verizon.net

Introductions: There were no introductions 5. Discussion, consideration and action regarding Courthouse Restoration – County Judge: Judge Moore listed the items missing and not up to par from Friday’s walk-thru as being: a deficient panel door going into stairwell, a secondfloor door that opens on wrong side, non-starting generator, main water line discrepancy, main stairwell needing fire retardant applied, and a push bar for entrance into stairwell needing completion. Judge Moore concluded by saying that at this point of time, a certificate of occupancy had not yet been received.
6. Discussion, consideration and action to renew agreement between 903 Broadband and Fannin County for Tower and Premises usage exchange – County Judge for Emergency Management Coordinator: Fannin County Emergency Management Coordinator Troy Hudson explained how this agreement had come into existence several years back; how it benefits the county and how it had to be renewed every five years. Fannin County Justice Center including county offices related thereto; acquiring, designing, constructing, renovating, repairing, improving county roads and bridges and the materials and equipment related to those projects. He explained that including the roads and bridges, would allow any potential excess funds to go towards roads and bridges instead of being forced into the Justice Center Project or having to be given back. He then explained if authorized today, the legal notices alerting the voters of what is planned can be posted on the county’s website and into the legal newspaper two weeks in a row and gives the authority to come back in June to actually authorize the certificates of obligation causing the money to be in the bank by mid-July. He discussed the current dramatic property valuation increases and touched on strategies to minimize the tax impact. After concluding his presentation, a discussion began with questions asked that included whether the capped eleven million loan amount would be enough to complete the project given the previous increased costs of the initially assessed amount for the renovation of the courthouse. After some discussion on the sufficiency of the loan amount and funds needed to adequately handle county roads and bridges, Judge Moore interjected with the observation of how new properties are going on the tax roles that will bring millions more of additional tax into the county and how money is being looked at for roads and bridges. After more discussion ensued regarding the necessity of taking these steps, the importance of the Justice Center, the importance of the maintenance of the county’s roads, the importance of an adequate estimation of funds needed and how more money could be obtained if needed, a motion was made by Commissioner Magness to approve the Resolution with Commissioner Self seconding the motion which passed unanimously.
After the vote was taken, Judge Moore made the statement that the county does currently own the property where the Justice Center will be located the county having recently purchased the Brookshires/WalMart facility. (Writer’s note; Judge Moore noted at the conclusion of the Commissioners Court that the property for the Justice Center was purchased for a price of 1.87 million dollars.) 9. Discussion, consideration and action to approve Treasurer’s Financial Report for March 2022 – County Judge for County Treasurer: Fannin County Treasurer David Woodson gave a report of receipts for March being $1,376,378.57. A motion was made by Commissioner Lane to approve the report with Commissioner Magness seconding the motion which passed. 10. Discussion, consideration and action to approve Treasurer’s Investment Report for March 2022 – County Judge for County Treasurer: Mr. Woodson gave a report of $480.19 interest on the TexPool accounts which currently have a balance of $3,679,307.44; $.64 interest on the 2020 bond that has a balance of $5,291.33; and $3.89 interest on the Operating Business Money Funds that has a balance of $228,791.80. A motion was made by Commissioner Lane to approve the report with Commissioner Self seconding the motion which passed. 11. Discussion, consideration and action to approve naming of Private Road located off of CR 4535 in Trenton, Property ID# 72425, to Lyla Lane – Commissioner Precinct 2: Commissioner Self noted this is a private road that will be maintained by private funds and then made the motion to approve the naming of the road with Commissioner Magness seconding the motion which passed. 12. ton, Property ID# 71761, to IC Creek Ranch Rd – Commissioner Precinct 2: Commissioner Self noted this was the same situation as the previous item and made the motion to approve the naming of the road with Commissioner Lane seconding the motion which passed. 13. Discussion, consideration and action to accept quote and purchase Dump Truck for Precinct 3 from V&T Truck Center for $69,641.40 – Commissioner Precinct 3 for Purchasing Agent: Fannin County Purchasing Agent Michelle Case explained how out of ten requests for quotes, V&T was the only company to reply with a quote. Commissioner Magness then made the motion to purchase the truck with Commissioner Self seconding the motion which passed. 14. Discussion, consideration and action to approve Order renewing Whitewright Solar, LLC Reinvestment Zone for five (5) years with the renewal date beginning on April 16, 2021 – County Judge: Judge Moore explained how this should have happened last year and Commissioner Lackey made the motion to approve the Order with Commissioner Magness seconding the motion which passed. 15. She noted the group is wanting to have a prayer event for our nation on the steps of the North side of the Courthouse, Thursday, May 5th at noon. A motion was made by Commissioner Magness to approve the event to be allowed with Commissioner Self seconding the motion which passed unanimously. 23. Public Forum: There were no speakers for Public Forum 24. Comments by County Commissioners and County Judge: Commissioner Lane noted her appreciation for everyone’s attendance and for Mr. McLiney’s presentation. She voiced her hope that citizens understand the need to press forward with the difficult decisions involving the Justice Center. After reminding all about the Hazardous Household Event this weekend, she wished all a good week. Commissioner Self noted he appreciated patience shown to workers dealing with rain issues on the roads and wished all a good week. Commissioner Magness whose precinct received four inches of rain, echoed Commissioner
K
Self’s weather comments and asked for patience as they deal with road issues. Commissioner Lackey also commented on the rain, noting the rains packed his roads which are in pretty good shape. He concluded with a wish for all to be safe and have a good week. Judge Moore voiced his appreciation for the rain received. He also brought to light a situation existing with a group wanting to build wind farms in Fannin County in the area of Dodd City south of 56 to south of Honey Grove. Noting that the structures are 800 ft tall, he advised they have been known to bring down property values of prime real estate. He also reminded all about the proposals to move the nursing home at the VA and the domiciliary to the Garland area and urged the citizenry to do what they can with phone calls and letters to help prevent the move from happening. He concluded by voicing how he is looking forward to what is going to happen with the Justice Center as the county is in good shape for this to happen and how he has hopes of addressing county employee pay issues as well as lowering county taxes. Before adjourning, Commissioner Lackey asked if he could add that he had calls regarding wind farms from citizens thinking they have no choice but to cooperate with the wind farm people. He wanted it to be known that the wind farm people have no legal power to insist you allow their windmills on your property. 25. Adjourn: A motion was made, seconded, and passed to adjourn at 10:15 a.m.

Letters to our elected officials on behalf of the Bonham Rotary Club were signed, and a list of these officials were distributed for each individual to send in their personal letters. Judge Moore brought the Rotarians up to date on the status of this proposal and what the Rotarians can do. Deloris Clemons gave an impressive history of the Bonham VA Fa-
cility, and explained that the information that was given was based on inaccurate information, and also, this information was dated back to 2017 before Fannin County’s huge growth. After a brief Q&A, State Representative Reggie Smith gave some closing remarks. He stated how much he appreciates all our veterans and he will do all he can to preserve our VA Hospital. After admiring a photo of a train station many years ago with people on it to go to an inauguration in Washington, Smith said it’s time Fannin County got on a train to Wasington again in support of our VA Hospital.

TCOG, Ladonia Mayor Jan Cooper Fannin Radio Club & Police Chief Howard J. Day Team Up to Benefit City of Ladonia Plans Texoma Island
Expedition
Photos by Sharon Haynes By Connie Estes The City of Ladonia’s Police Chief Howard Day and Mayor Jan Cooper were extremely proud of the new Ford Explorer SUV presented to the City’s Police Department by a grant from Texoma Council of Governments. The Ladonia Police Department was closed for 6 years until August, 2019. Ladonia’s officers work on a volunteer basis with a total of seven officers, including the chief, two civilian volunteers. All of the officers personally pay for the fuel they use while on duty. Months of work and waiting have gone into the process of acquiring the grant money. A personal presentation was needed during a time when Covid was still a major player in meetings and conferences. Mayor Cooper and Police Chief Day went together to present the need for the City of Ladonia. Chief Day said Fannin Adopt-A-Cop helped a lot with donations. B & D
Signs of Texas in Campbell did the awesome signage which is all reflective for maximum safety at night. Dana Safety Supply in Fort Worth outfitted all the lights and safety equipment. The interior of the SUV is equipped with safety features for the officers and passengers. The back seating is hard plastic with metal on the back of the front seats. It appears everything that could be thought of to protect the officers has been implemented in the vehicle. Even the backseat seatbelts have been designed to keep the officers safer. There are
bars on the backseat windows for protection. The officer has access to state of the art digital equipment with ease. Cameras are set to capture the interior and exterior of the vehicle reducing opportunity for false accusations in any instance. Mayor Jan Cooper could not say enough about how valuable Chief Day and his team are to the City of Ladonia. Looking toward the growth coming to Ladonia and the County, she is very glad to have an active, dependable police force in place.

resources bolster the Texas economy and improve our quality of life is seemingly endless,” said Carter Smith, Executive Director of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. “Studies show property values can increase up to 20 percent when adjacent to natural areas. Natural buffers make coasts and communities more resilient to intense storms and flood events, thereby protecting our citizens and saving billions of dollars in recovery costs. While it would do much to protect fish and wildlife that need it most, the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act would also mean a long-term investment in the public health and well-being of all Texans, as well as stewardship of our home ground.” According to the Outdoor Industry Association, the Texas outdoor recreation economy annually generates 327,000 jobs, $14.4 billion in wages and $3.5 billion in state and local tax revenue. nature tourism revenue. Additionally, RAWA would send $50 million in grant funds flowing across Texas to nonprofit organizations, nature centers, universities, landowners, fish and wildlife management agencies and many others for projects to conserve vulnerable wildlife before they become endangered. Unfortunately, the outdoor recreation industry depends on many fish and wildlife species that are declining including birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, plants and more. If RAWA passed, it could bring additional resources toward projects involving much loved animals like the monarch butterfly, brown pelican, and the ocelot. It would also allow for additional research projects including but not limited to horned lizard reintroductions, bracted twistflower conservation and surveys for new bee species.

On a national level, RAWA would provide $1.4 billion in dedicated annual funding for proactive collaborative efforts by state and tribal wildlife conservation initiatives to support at-risk wildlife populations and their habitats. The funding would come from existing revenues without new taxes or government programs. State agencies throughout the country have identified 12,000 species in need of conservation assistance in federally approved State Wildlife Action Plans. These plans would help guide spending from RAWA. Additionally, tribal nations would receive $97.5 million annually to fund proactive wildlife conservation efforts on tens of millions of acres of land. At least 15 percent of the resources would be used to recover species listed as threatened or endangered. “The litany of ways natural

SPORTS SPORTS Longtime Leonard v’ball coach Davis to lead spikers at 2A Trenton in 2022
Head coach Lisa Davis meets with the Leonard Lady Tigers on Oct. 5, 2021, during District 11-3A volleyball. Photo by Rich Hilliard
By Rich Hilliard LEONARD -- When Lisa Davis first arrived in 2013, volleyball at Class 3A Leonard remained as a fledgling sport at the school. While there had been success during its first decade of existence, it had yet to translate into anything significant -- no postseason trips had occurred. Concurrently, a succession of coaches had headed the volleyball program there. Davis will leave following this school year having changed both realities about volleyball at Leonard. She announced on April 26 that she will be the head coach for volleyball and tennis at neighboring 2A Trenton during the 2022-23 athletic year. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to coach the Trenton Lady Tigers,” said Davis. “I’ve observed the Trenton Lady Tigers for years at tournaments, camps, and matches and they tend to be tough competitors, hard working, and eager to learn and improve. “It was a difficult decision to leave Leonard High School because I am very close to the members of the coaching staff and I love the students
I work with at Leonard,” she said, “but I felt like the timing was right to make a change.” Davis brought a quick change to Leonard volleyball during her near decade at its helm. During her second year, the Lady Tigers in 2014 contended for a postseason trip into the final match of district play. Leonard in 2015 made its first of five consecutive bi-district appearances -- a narrow 25-23, 25-23, 25-16 loss to Alba-Golden -- after winning a play-in over Commerce to claim the fourth and final district playoff berth. Meanwhile, as Leonard grew its postseason streak under Davis, the Lady Tigers also yearly mostly improved their finishes in district play: fourth (without need of a play-in) again, in 2016; third after a play-in win over Van Alstyne in 2017; runner-up in 2018 after a playin win over Blue Ridge; and third place after winning a three-team play-in in 2019. Her time at Leonard also included having players agree to extend their careers in volleyball beyond high school: Cheyenne McCartney, 2016, Texas A&M-Commerce; Alyssa Davis, 2018, Centenary College of Louisi-
ana; Abby Wilson, 2021, Arlington Baptist; Paiton Sudderth and Allie Shulze, 2022, Arlington Baptist. While Davis oversaw a volleyball turnaround at Leonard, Trenton simultaneously also had successful campaigns: six-straight postseason trips, before falling short in 2021. She will face a familiar opponent for the next two seasons in district volleyball -- Whitewright, which drops from 3A -- as part of the new 11-2A which, besides Trenton, will also include Sam Rayburn and Wolfe City. Note: Lisa Davis also had a successful stint at Leonard as head tennis coach. Players advanced to regional competition during seven of her nine years -- and six of those seasons concluded with players earning State medals. COVID-19 spread concerns truncated the 2020 season -- most certainly nixing an eighth year of regional and State trips for Leonard tennis, particularly for 2021 alumna Kenna Kelley, a Colorado Mesa University tennis signee, who yearly achieved both while competing there.

dale, Florida. “It had a homey and safe feeling.” She also cited the atmosphere she had seen while following the Nova Southeastern team on Instagram, as influencing her choice. Wommack announced her decision to compete for the NSU Sharks on April 21 in the Trenton High School library with coaches, family, friends and other wellwishers in attendance. “The coach and I really hit it off. He’s a super-nice and funny guy,” she said “... Also, sharks is a cool mascot.” Her collegiate announcement came a day after Wommack assured her track and field career at Trenton would extend at least until the end of April. She won the girls’ high jump competition on April 20 at the District 13-2A/14-2A area-round meet at Wolfe City, finished second in the 400m and third as a part of the Lady Tigers’ 4X100
relay -- qualifying in each event for the Region II-2A Girls’ Meet April 29-30 at Springtown High School. It continued a senior year for Wommack which last fall in cross country included a fourth-consecutive advance individually to the Region II-2A girls’ competition for her and helping claim a third-straight district title for Trenton’s girls varsity team. “She’s a very explosive and driven athlete and a great competitor,” said Mike Cowling who currently coaches Wommack in her track events at Trenton. “I told her and the rest of the girls as freshmen: It would be a lot of hard work [to get to run in college],” said Ashley Boydston, who previously coached Wommack for three years at Trenton. “It takes a lot of hard work,” she said, “and Kayla has definitely put in the time. “It’s well-deserved.”
