Call for Nominations

Dear Toastmasters, The time has come to receive nominations for the new District Leadership for District 82, for the next Toastmasters year from 1st July 2016 to 30th June 2017.

It is my honour to have been appointed as the Nominating Committee Chair of District 82, by the District Director Sastharam Ravendran, and ratified by the District Council at the Business Meeting held at Reverberations 2015 in Kandy.

I hereby call for nominations for the following officers of District 82, for the year 1 st July 2016 to 30th June 2017:  DISTRICT DIRECTOR  PROGRAM QUALITY DIRECTOR.  CLUB GROWTH DIRECTOR.  DIVISION DIRECTOR – for Divisions A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J Eligibility Criteria As per the District Administrative Bye-Laws, the qualifications criteria for each post is as follows:  At the time of taking office, the district director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a club president and at least 12 consecutive months as a program quality director and club growth director or division director or a combination thereof.  The program quality director and club growth director shall have served at least six consecutive months as club president and at least 12 consecutive months as a program quality director, a club growth director, a division director or an area director or a combination thereof.  The division directors shall have served at least six consecutive months as members of a district council.  All district officers must be active individual members of member clubs and must be in good standing with Toastmasters International under Article III, Section 8 of the Bylaws of Toastmasters International.

I hereby invite all toastmasters who are interested and committed to serve as district officers to kindly send in their nominations to me. Third party nominations are also accepted as well as self nominations. Please utilize the forms attached to this mail.

The nominating committee interviews all known candidates for each elected position.

All candidates must sign and submit to the committee their Officer Agreement and Release Form.

3.

The nominating committee completes the Candidate Checklist and Evaluation Form for each candidate.

4.

The nominating committee votes.

The results of the nomination committee will be announced once the process is complete.

Nominations open from 15th December 2015 and closes on 15th January 2016. Please note the last date for submitting nominations is 15thJanuary 2016. For any clarifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.
