elcome to the very first edition of HARWORTH & BIRCOTES TODAY. TODAY

A new look for your community magazine which is now handy A5 size and is printed in full colour. Many of you will be reading a copy that has been delivered through your letterbox. This is very much your magazine and is definitely a work in progress! I would like to be able to add more useful numbers, what’s on listings and the information that you the residents of Harworth and Bircotes want to see. However, I don’t live in the Town (although I am only a few miles down the road) and I have 3 other magazines to keep up to date with, therefore I need your help to develop the magazine and keep it packed full every month with the information you need. So if you have any details of local happenings that you would like to see in the magazine then please do let me know. The easiest way is to send me an email and I will do my very best to ensure that the information you send me is included in the next issue. My appeal for businesses who like to support this new magazine to come forward, produced a great response and there are many advertisements contained in this magazine for businesses who see the residents of Harworth & Bircotes as part of their target market. They aren’t all located within the town but they aren’t a million miles away. When responding to their advertisements please don’t forget to mention that you saw them in Harworth & Bircotes Today. I would love to see more local businesses included next month. If you are interested or you know someone who may be then please get in touch. If you know of anyone who maybe interested in advertising in or contributing to the magazine then please ask them to get in touch. The next edition will be delivered to you late May. Please ensure that anything that you would like included in it, is with me by Wednesday 11th May.

Best Wishes, Paula

Meet Skipton Building Society One of the UK’s longest-established building societies, Skipton has been helping families across the UK to achieve their financial aspirations for 158 years. Having invested in a new outlet on Scrooby Road we are extending our reputation for excellent, personalised service to residents of Harworth. This is one of 16 new branches added to our 107 -strong national network over the past year and shares premises with estate agency William H Brown. And the branch team, led by Branch Manager Marie Laws, are inviting local people to pop in and chat to them about all their financial needs – from affordable mortgages to rewarding savings and investment advice, as well as associated products such as insurance. And, from 18 April, the branch will be offering a free gift to anyone that takes advantage of the Society’s Customer Review Service, as the Society joins in with the national pride surrounding April’s Royal wedding by celebrating our own impressive heritage. As well as meeting their day-to-day financial needs, we are committed to investing in the communities where our members live and work – investing in good causes in the fields of Education, Sport, Money Advice and The Arts. Like the rest of our branches, Harworth has £350 to give away annually to local good cause, through our Community Contribution Award scheme. And our independent Charitable Foundation also supports organisations up and down the UK. Application forms for both are available in branch. Marie said: “In times when many high streets are seeing financial services providers closing branches, we are proud to be extending our accessibility for even more customers in Harworth.” Skipton is the UK’s fourth largest building society. As a proud mutual, we operate in the interests of our members, not shareholders. In 2006, we were the first financial institution to be awarded Customer First accreditation, and became the only UK building society to receive this official recognition for our commitment to outstanding customer service for a third, consecutive, time in September 2010.

Heart ‘n’ Soul

As I wrote in the February edition of Town Life, we have a baptism almost every Sunday of the year. That’s a lot of baptisms and we as a church celebrate the birth of these new and very precious children alongside the families who care for them. Baptisms (also knows as Christenings, that is Christ-in-ing), are wonderful services to preside at - every one of them! But, all these families were asking the same questions and I was answering them some 50 times over each year. So, in order to help parents truly understand what they are ‘signing up to’ when they bring their child to baptism, because although it’s been around for generations, there is still a great deal of misunderstanding concerning the reason to have this service, we started to offer what we have called ‘Baptism Explored’ sessions. We want to dispel the untruths which seem to have become attached to the Sacrament of baptism. For instance, did you know that some people still think that if a baby cries at the moment of baptism it is a sign that evil is leaving them! And of course, they worry when the baby doesn’t cry because they think the evil is still inside them! That is a load of … , well nonsense. The church does not believe that at all. Baptism is offered so that parents and carers can promise to raise their children in the Christian faith, and to ask God to give them not just a good life, but a new life. In our ‘Baptism Explored’ sessions we have the opportunity to meet with parents, inform them of what baptism will mean in terms of Christian commitment to the their child and commitment to the church of God. We can also meet with the Godparents, who we don’t normally see until the day of the baptism, but now, you can get them involved right from the start. Bring grand parents too, because they have a significant part to play in the care and nurture of your child. We’re inviting those who seek baptism for their child to join us at our next ‘Baptism Explored’ session which takes place on Sunday 8 May at 3pm in the Church Hall. It lasts a little over an hour and gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, chat over refreshments and in an informal and fun way explain what baptism is for and what obligations it places upon the family. Then, we will ask you to come along to meet the rest of the church family at a Sunday service, and, if you feel baptism is still right for you, then we will think about a date and time for the baptism. So, give me a ring to book your place at the next session, Sunday 8 May at 3pm in the Church Hall if you are thinking of having your child baptised and watch out for future sessions if you’re thinking of a baptism later in the year. We look forward to helping you decide if you want the gift of baptism for your child, and explaining how you can get the best out of that gift, by keeping the promises made during the service and following ‘the makers’ instructions on how to live the Christian life, along with his family at All Saints, Harworth.

HARWORTH AND BIRCOTES TENANTS’ AND RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION On Tuesday 5 April the group held its Annual General Meeting, and all the current committee were re-elected unanimously. Seems like the committee are doing something right. Looking back on successes and failures over the year, it was obvious that the failures were due to the weather – wet and windy weather meant that we could not have our stall at the Community Day event on Scrooby Road on May Bank Holiday last year, and the heavy snow fall in December resulting in having to postpone the planned pantomime. The rescheduling of the pantomime meant that many families were unable to attend and ticket money had to be refunded, although this was outside our control. However, it was felt that our successes outweighed these failures, with the bookstall and coffee shop (The Pantry at the Town Hall) already being very successful. Our participation in the Christmas Lights event was another success, with our Santa’s Grotto being very popular, and the tombola stall being very busy indeed. Our notice board situated outside the Devonshire Road centre is always well used, helping ourselves and the Town Council to publicise events. We have also worked very effectively with the Town Council to enable us to secure new bus shelters in many locations around the Town, which, incidentally were paid for by 106 money, which is money provided by developments in the area We were also instrumental, along with the Town Council in finally persuading Stagecoach and Notts County Council that we really need a bus service that goes past Bassetlaw District Hospital. It has finally happened, and so our efforts, and those of the Town Council, have eventually paid off. We have also firmly established good working relationships with the schools and the police. We hold an advice surgery every Tuesday afternoon at Devonshire Road Community Centre, where people can come to access our computer in order to bid for a property on Homefinder) the A1 Housing website where anyone can bid for a council or Housing Association property. We also offer help and advice on repairs and Decent Homes work. We now look forward to our Easter Fayre, which takes place on Easter Saturday 23 April, starting at 1 pm to 4 pm, with many stalls and attractions for young and old alike. This will be followed at 4.30 to 6 pm by a fancy dress disco for under 14s, with prizes for the winners, and an egg for everyone who attends the disco. Also, we are planning two trips out this summer – one to Yorkshire Wildlife Park on 1 June, and on 15 August we will be taking a coach to Scarborough.

VISIT THE PANTRY

The next meeting of the group will take place on Tuesday 3 May 2011, starting at 10.30 am, at the Devonshire Road Community Centre. Everyone is welcome to come along, help us to make Harworth/ Bircotes an even better place to live, and maybe make new friends and learn some new facts in the process. Refreshments are available and a raffle will usually take place. We would particularly welcome anyone from an ethnic minority, or younger people with fresh new ideas. Currently we have a membership with an average age of about 70, and are conscious that we are getting older and need to be able to pass the reins on to the younger generation – so please come and join us.

How many driving instructors discuss with their pupils: The effect that emotions have on driving? There have been a number of road rage incidents recently and even people dying due to some mistake made on the road. We are all human beings and we do make mistakes but I guess it’s how we react to those mistakes that we have to consider. Imagine somebody pulling out in front of you. Our reaction can be one of: forgiveness, calmness or as some people do, becoming very angry and now very dangerous. When we become angry we ignore all the things around us with a determination to get our own back. Guess which one is going to have the crash! It is only by instilling a sense of responsibility into young drivers and also awareness about the consequences of some of our actions, that we can do something about these reactions. We cannot take the human being out of the driving and we cannot take the emotion out of the human being, but we can learn how to react to these things and become better drivers for it. Make sure you pick a driving instructor who teaches a sense of awareness & responsibility. Pick 16 FAY Learn to Drive

The New Budapest Café Orchestra played at Harworth and Bircotes Town Hall on Sunday 20 March to a very enthusiastic audience.

‘We need to have them back’ ‘ just superb’ ‘so funny’

The concert was brought to the village by Village Ventures, the rural touring scheme managed by Nottinghamshire County Council which brings professional companies to your door step. The ticket prices are subsidised by the Arts Council to about 50% and the local work is all done by volunteers. The booklet of events can be collected from the library or the Town Hall. The New Budapest Café Orchestra: four musicians all from north London have a life long love of Russian and Eastern European folk music, but their performance was peppered with some of the great composers Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov and some more unusual and very recognisable tunes from the likes of mark Knopfler and Captain Pugwash! There was certainly some variety! We were warned at the beginning that the ‘Misery Meter’ was going to go through the roof, and some of the folk tunes were so despairing and wistful that they were utterly marvellous, but the performance was delivered with so much fun and humour that we were laughing a great deal too. It was a real feel good therapy session! Their musicianship was good, and their credentials pretty superb, the accordionist Eddie Hession has accompanied Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras, and Chris Garrick the front man is one of the UKs leading Jazz violinists and has played regularly with John Dankworth (now sadly dead) and Dame Cleo Laine…. Beat that! And they were here, playing on your doorstep for only £7.50 a ticket. If you weren’t there you really missed a treat. The Town Hall was used to its full advantage with its stage and lighting system. A raffle and the licensed bar raised over £200 for the charities Thrive and Alzheimer’s Society. Our next event is Sumaya Flamenco on Friday 13 May. So put your lucky hat on, your superstitions in the bin and join us for what will be another brilliant evening, bringing music from Southern Europe to your doorstep. Tickets from The Town Clerk or 01302 752515

Celebrating 25 years of providing kitchens in Doncaster‌. We spend a lot of our lives in our homes, especially the kitchen and bedroom - which today are far more than just ‘utility rooms' - so it's important that they reflect our lifestyles. Each kitchen and bedroom should be practical, safe, and designed in a way that fully utilises the space available. They must also look attractive and fit with the overall style of your home, complement your way of life and make your time there a pleasant experience. If you're planning a refurbishment, look no further than DC Interiors - a small, family-run business with 25 year's experience in the industry. With over 400 styles of kitchens and bedrooms in a wide range of colours, DC Interiors is certain to provide your perfect design. Whether your taste is classic or contemporary, the friendly staff are on hand to help you choose. People often find it difficult to know where to begin when selecting a new kitchen or bedroom, but DC Interiors will guide you gently through the whole process from the first measurements to the final installation. You will initially be offered a free, no-obligation design service, where an experienced designer comes to measure your room and discuss ideas with you. The information will then be used to draw up a design that meets your exact specifications. Special requests or awkward room shapes are no problem - DC Interiors offers a bespoke service that makes every kitchen or bedroom unique to your home. When the design has been drawn up, you will be invited to the warm, pleasant showroom to discuss it informally over a cup of coffee. Since forming in 1986, DC Interiors - with showrooms in Maltby and Edenthorpe - has garnered a strong reputation and loyal customer base, primarily through word of mouth. The many thank you cards on display in their showrooms are testament to the hundreds of satisfied customers they have helped over the years. The company's two owners, David Silkstone and William Powney, have been in the industry almost all their working lives and the majority of the staff have been with the firm since the beginning, making them a company you can trust. Unlike many other companies, DC Interiors manufacture their materials themselves at their Maltby factory, not only does this give you the freedom to design your room, it also ensures your new kitchen or bedroom is of exceptional quality. All plumbing, gas, and electrical work is completed as part of the fitting, and most projects are completed in two to three days. The staff at DC Interiors pride themselves on their personal, friendly customer service, with no hard-selling or pressure. Give them a call today and turn your dream room into reality.

Opening of Harworth & Bircotes Children’s Centre and Harworth & Bircotes Town Hall Even though the new Children’s Centre and Town Hall has been open since September 2010 we wanted to celebrate this fantastic new facility with the whole community and thought what better way than to throw a party! On the 1st April (no it wasn’t an April Fools’) we invited local dignitaries, Children’s Centre partners, users of the hall and families to watch District Councillor June Evans, Chair of the Town Council, Councillor Tom Pettengell, Chair of Nottinghamshire County Council and Gage Johnson aged 3 to officially cut the ribbon and declared the Children’s Centre and Town Hall open for business. After the formalities of the speeches it was time to party and our three Primary schools kicked off the show with singing and dancing performances. Bircotes Leisure Centre got our hearts bumping with an aerobics demonstration and our local dancing groups showed Harworth and Bircotes really does have talent with the can-can, street dance and traditional Irish dancing. As well as the performances there were stilt walkers, puppet shows, magicians, balloon modelling and an activity trailer for the children. It really was a whole community event with nearly a thousand people coming through the doors in the three hours. We would like to say a huge thank to everyone who took part, it really was a excellent way to put Harworth and Bircotes on the map.

Harworth & Bircotes Town Council Pages Our Town. Have you noticed the spring flowers growing at the entrances to the Town? The bulbs were planted by our staff and volunteers from DHL and the E2E young people. This group of young people, who are all from our community, also helped fill 14 skips of rubbish from Droversdale Wood, and clear the overgrown thicket opposite; new trees and clear spaces make it look much more attractive. Another improvement has been the appearance of bus shelters in the Town after much negotiation with Nottinghamshire County Council Highways Department. Bassetlaw District Council has provided us with a larger Recycling facility adjacent to the Town Hall, and we continue to install more bins for rubbish and dog waste throughout the Town. Much work has been done this year to improve our Cemetery on Tickhill Road. Some railings have been replaced and all have been repainted, the toilet block has been modernised, and new turf and paving stones laid in one area. An older community grave for babies has now been marked with a headstone with brass plaques attached, which I know is appreciated by people visiting the Cemetery. Many of you have commented positively on the changes made, and further improvements are planned, but space for new graves is now limited and, we anticipate, will only be available for another 2 to 3 years. Council will therefore focus on further preparation of the New Cemetery on Styrrup Road.

The Town Hall and Sure Start Children’s Centre

Friday 1st April saw the official opening of the new building. The event was a great success, the Hall was full to capacity and everyone had a good time. This centrally located building is designed to provide much-needed facilities for this community, and already bookings are increasing and new events appearing. (see below). Fancy a cuppa? Call into The Pantry and book stall, run by the Tenants and Residents Association every Thursday morning. What about a game of Bingo on Thursday afternoons? Anyone interested in looking at the facilities or making a booking, please ring Helen on 01302 746464

Connecting Communities Although this government-funded initiative has ended, work has continued on the production of a Community Charter, which is now available from the Town Hall. Volunteers – our Community Champions – have been meeting and discussing the various organisations which provide services to our community; this work is ongoing, and is useful because it highlights issues and concerns people have, and suggests changes individual service providers could make. The good news is that Bassetlaw District Council has ‘passported’ the remaining Connecting Communities fund to us, which can be used for the benefit of the community for specific purposes associated with the original project. The Community Champions will be involved in deciding how best to use this money.

If you want to know more or are interested in attending a meeting, ring Steve Bowman, Town Clerk, on 01302 752642 A Moan! Why do the majority have to suffer the actions of the minority? Who are these feckless individuals who think they can dump their rubbish on the rest of us? In the last month our Town has been blighted by a mattress on Tickhill Road, rubbish left on the field opposite the Fire Station and on the allotments, a bed head thrown on grass on Grosvenor Road and a settee dumped near the Wimpey Estate. More rubbish is appearing in Droversdale and Snipe Park Woods, and behind Essex Stores. Be warned – if we catch you, you will be prosecuted! Try being a responsible person, don’t expect us to tolerate your disgusting behaviour. Local Elections. The time has come round for Town Council elections, and some District Council elections, including Harworth and Bircotes. Council Meetings If you are interested in what your Council does, please come to a Council meeting, held on the third Monday of the month, starting at 6.45pm. If you want to speak to your District Councillor, surgeries are held monthly at the Town Hall, dates available from the Town Clerk on 01302 752642

BASSETLAW DISTRICT COUNCIL ELECTION THURSDAY 5TH MAY Dear Resident Once again I am seeking your support to elect me as your Labour District Councillor. Harworth and Bircotes is recognised as a town in need of regeneration and ideal for future development, and I want to ensure this happens. I want to see more jobs, better facilities and an improved quality of life for the people who live here. To achieve this, I intend working on your behalf not only at a local level as a Town Councillor but also at District level. As a District Councillor I will ensure that the needs of our Community are considered when planning and policy decisions are taken, and challenge those decisions not in your interest. It is my intention to put Harworth and Bircotes firmly on the map in Bassetlaw and secure the investment and growth we need for future generations. Your vote for me on Thursday 5th May means that I will continue to work for the benefit of the people of Harworth and Bircotes and represent your views in order to make our community a better place to live. Thank you June Evans

Local Sculptor raffles off work to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society Local Sculptor, Hilary Cartmel will be selling raffle tickets for the chance of winning one of two bird sculptures worth £300 each to raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. After winning first prize in Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery’s 2009 Open Art Exhibition, Hilary was asked to exhibit her work at the gallery until 7th May. The exhibition, named ‘It’s All in the Mind,’ brings together a series of 'dreaming heads', with their minds' imaginations made solid. The heads are made in stainless steel, with other materials. Amy Casbolt, Community Fundraiser for South Yorkshire at the Alzheimer’s Society, said: ‘We are delighted that Hilary will be donating the proceeds of her raffle to the Alzheimer’s Society. One in three people over 65 will die with dementia. It is more than just memory loss; it robs people of their lives and has a devastating impact on families and loved ones. As a charity, we rely on the generosity of individuals to help us continue our vital work. Please back Hilary in her fundraising efforts so that Alzheimer's Society can continue leading the fight against dementia.’ Raffle tickets are £1 (and also come in books of 10) and can be bought at Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery if you would like to buy a book of tickets and support Hilary’s fundraising. The draw will take place on 6th May 2011.

This is a fantastic total. This amount has been raised by a number of activities organized mainly by students. There was a year 7 Danceathon, a FIFA competition, cake sales by the 6th form and a collection from the non-uniform day by all the students. The Danceathon was won by Tia Morris, Paige Ashcroft, Rebecca Manson, Blaine Humphreys, Owen Yeomans and Daniel Beckett. Olivia Manns and Harry Lewis raised the most amount of money, raising £32.00 and £15.00p respectively. The students were given the opportunity to donate to the Japan earthquake and Tsunami appeal on Red Nose Day instead of Comic Relief. This was at the request of some of the students. The donation to the Japan appeal raised £152.09. This is an enormous amount of money raised in one day and demonstrates the generosity and compassion of our students and their families.

Serlby Park Secondary Change4Life Health Fair.

The Health Fair on Thursday 24th March this year attracted over a hundred parents and children from the local community and feeder schools. During the school day the secondary students had an opportunity to explore the stalls and find out more about healthy living. This year it was again run under the banner of Change4life, with the emphasis on “eat well, move more, live longer”. There were a record number of stalls providing information on exercise and nutrition, countering obesity, dental health, alcohol awareness, anti-smoking and many others. There was even a pedal powered Smoothie machine which appealed to both students & staff. The Police and Fire Service also attended; the latter providing information about safety in the home and showing a film about how quickly fire can spread. They also brought along one of the engines to demonstrate their fire fighting equipment. Many of the students had great fun trying on some of the fire fighting masks and hats and sitting in the cab. Some of our senior students provided a stall teaching other pupils about countering obesity. This was as a result of their exam work in PE. Nikki Webber, one of our former pupils again delivered an inspirational and motivating seminar to our year 7 students based around road safety and her own experience of a serious road traffic accident and how it changed her life. This year in an attempt to enable families and parents from the local community and feeder schools to attend, we ran an Evening event from 4pm till 6pm. The evening event offered free activity taster sessions in a variety of sports, provided free of charge by local clubs. Mr Schofield from Serlby Park primary provided an Indoor Curling experience. The local sports centre offered free gym sessions & free body MOTs, checking BMI and cholesterol levels. Many of the younger children enjoyed the art of balloon modelling from Mr Balloon, while others tried their hand at archery, salsa, yoga, football, tennis, healthy cooking, boccia, dance, panna soccer and golf. Over 140 parents and children attended the event with many saying that it was “a fantastic event” and that it would encourage them to continue with a more active lifestyle. Also very popular, especially amongst some of our younger visitors was the Hair and make-up, where you could have your hair curled or straightened and some make up applied. Finally Mrs Liversidge and Mrs Cave demonstrated Healthy Eating and gave away free recipes and food samples to all their visitors. We intend to put the new and better Health Fair onto the calendar for next year. I would like to say thank you to all our local providers and staff who offered their time and skills free of charge. Without the community involvement our event would not have been the success that it was.

Ponies Trust In Katy

Many of you may have laughed at the funny dishevelled sight of three little Shetland ponies being lead on adventures round the village to enjoy nice grass and slowly build their confidence in both humans and the world outside their paddock. Blaze arrived in my care on 31 January, extremely neglected and unable to weight bear on his hind left, he had a huge ligature type wound around this limb and was a very sorry sight for a 19 month old pony. He responded quickly to rest, treatment and TLC and it soon became apparent Blaze was now part of Corner Farm furniture, so we needed to find him some girlfriends. Along came Poppy and Tilly on 5 March from different owners, equally needy, neglected and abused. They were so emotionally traumatised I did not attempt to approach them until 21 March. There was no way these ponies were going to let a human touch them, happy to follow and observe from a distance to keep their escape options open. I could see this taking months of patience, however I was concerned that Tilly could be in foal and wanted to get her scanned by a vet and both ponies feet need urgent attention from the farrier. Katy Halbert, a Serlby Park student and horse owner herself was appalled by how anyone could abuse ponies in this manner, determined to befriend and catch the evasive pair, Katy spent many hours after a full day at school and doing her own horses, sat in my field with a huge bucket of treats and a sack of carrots waiting, and waiting. The maturity, determination and patience Katy has shown has amazed me. It was not long and a combination of her calm persuasive manner and her natural horsemanship techniques which allowed Katy to get close enough to put a head collar on Tilly. Katy had achieved the hardest part of the pony’s rehabilitation, since then they have been groomed, handled, had baby Amelia riding them and taken on little walks. None of this would have been possible without Katy’s time, effort and devotion to equines. The part of this that truly makes me so proud of Katy is that no one asked or told Katy to do any of this, she was not paid and had nothing to gain for herself out of this, she dedicated herself to helping these poor animals because she cared and could help. Thank you so much Katy from Tilly, Poppy, Blaze and Fiona xxxx

A fantastic Ladies’ Pamper Evening – Friday 1st April 2011

Tickets were pre-bought costing £10 each, which included a choice of 2 treatments and a free glass of wine on entry. 42 tickets were sold, we were fully booked, which was fantastic – we even had a waiting list! Treatments offered were mini facials, nail shape and polish, hand/foot massage, brow shape, reflexology and hair styling (straightening/curling/up do). The whole evening’s success was based on whether local beauticians/hairdressers/therapists would be willing to give up their time on a Friday evening, all in aid of raising money for our local church. Fortunately, we managed to find everyone we needed & they were all kind enough to get involved. The evening was fabulous, while people waited for their treatments they browsed and bought from stalls selling jewellery, handbags, make up and beauty, health products, lingerie and delicious, extra special cup cakes. Old friends had the chance to catch up and chat over a glass of wine or a hot drink and some nibbles. Others watched demonstrations from Karen Bailey, House of Colour Image Consultant, showing how she analyses people’s colours and gave hints and tips on accessorising. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy, people were really enjoying some “me time”. A total of £455 was raised from ticket sales, stall donations and raffle ticket sales. This is a fantastic achievement for us as it was the first event of its kind in aid of the church. The feedback we got on the night (and since) is brilliant, everyone loved it and they all want to come back for more. Please watch this space……… We would like to thank the following people for making this evening such a success: Beauticians Stalls and raffle donations from: Dawn Heaton – House of Lindsay Jewellery/bags – Joanne at Sunspot Michelle Aherne – Christopher Wright Jewellery/bags – Kerry, Aura of Tranquility Susan Terry – Aura of Tranquility Cupcakes – Jayne, Cakes by Occasion Lisa Burns – Heaven Sent Make up and beauty products – Virgin Vie Jaime Bisset – Virgin Vie Lingerie – Evelyn’s Den Lisa Foster – Virgin Vie Traidcraft products – Penelope Sweatman, All Jessica Challinor – Virgin Vie Saints Church Health/wellbeing products – Vicky, Forever Living Hairdressers Cloverleaf – raffle prize Lucy Goodwin – mobile hairdresser Maxine’s – raffle prize Marie Guest – Christopher Wright Reflexology Brenda Morley
