To Whom It May Concern, I would like to share my creative, technical, and leadership roles that demonstrate business savvy, technical aptitude, and marketing talent. As a published author, radio talk show host, and film producer, my creative talents have been used to direct and produce multimedia content. I’ve have also worked with the general public in retail, call center, special event, media, and service industries. My technical skills allow me work with a variety of online tools to create web content, apps, publish books, host radio shows and produce film content. In addition, I have directed film festivals and trade associations to bring people and media technologies together to perform marketing to the public. Two examples are the New England Publisher’s Association and the Springfield Community Festival. As a continued side project, I have been writing and teaching topics that are both creative and technical. My lessons have reached universities and colleges in four states in the area of book publishing, producing talk shows, business planning, and film production. Success with my students allows me to continue adjunct faculty projects at local colleges. A special project involved discussing home churches on NBC Nightly News, I followed up with directing and producing movie that is part of the documentary series “Your World Discovered”. It has been shown on both television and small theater. The film experience inspired me to write a book on the topic and teach film production and movie making at community colleges. I have launched new radio shows creating new portals of public discussion. For Circle of Seven Productions, I produced five and hosted three talk shows that had authors and book publishing experts. The shows are now available on computers, cell phones, and tablets via iTunes, TuneIn app, and RSS podcast readers. Early on, my efforts to bring musical talent to Los Angeles, California was done with a talk show and music recording at a studio in Connecticut and shipping content to be broadcasted Monday mornings on KCLA 99.3FM. This resulted in the effort to have music talent that was successfully marketed coast-to-coast. My first radio show was simulcast on two broadcast radio stations WORC 1310 AM and WGFP 940 AM called “Author of the Week”. The radio show included a year long speaking tour to all Barnes and Noble bookstores in New England to promote self-published authors and the independent press industry. This was part of my role as Executive Director of the New England Publishers Association . More important than the skills required for employment, is a true heart. I wrote a book called “An Easy Cooking Lesson For You”. I was on LIVE television, WWLP, Channel 22 News talking about the donation the book would make to the Springfield Rescue Mission to help the hungry and homeless. I know that others need more than me as I’ve been blessed. All proceeds of the book resulted in a $300 donation. This project was creative, technical, and required leadership to complete. Another time, I also created the Springfield Community Festival as a free film festival event to Springfield, MA residents as a day of rest following the tragic tornado on June 1, 2011. An hour after it ended, the event was featured locally on TV news on ABC, FOX, and CBS. This event continues to be held twice per year. I look forward to sharing more of my skills with you.
