My name is Madison Nguyen, and I am proud to serve as your 2023 - 2024 Lt. Governor for Division 39S! I am a rising senior at Lake Ridge High School where I'm in Girl Up, NHS, UIL Academics, and Academic Decathlon! In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to music, and visiting National Parks. I am so excited to work with all of y'all, and I know this year will be great! Reminder that clubs should remain active over the summer, and officers are required to fulfill all duties and submissions. All submissions are due on the 5th of the month unless it is a Sunday or holiday.

IICON CON

ICON is the Key Club International Convention, similar to DELC. At ICON, there will be workshops, guest speakers, and you will get to meet Key Clubbers from all over the world. It is an amazing way to learn new things and gain opportunities to improve your own service! We will also be electing your new international board. The cost of registration is $265 per key clubber! Join us this year in Anaheim, CA!

K-Kids is a student-led program in which elementary students are able to being developing a strong character and passion for service

Key Club is a service organization for high school students that provides members with opportunities to serve and develop character and leadership

Builders Club is a club for middle school students. Members are able to learn self-confidence and grow as leaders through teamwork and goal-setting

Kiwanis International is a service organization comprised of adult volunteers who serve globally

Circle K International is a student-led service organization for college students

AKTION CLUB

Aktion Club is a service club for adults with disabilities. Members develop confidence and selfesteem through leadership roles and helping others

PILOT PROGRAM

Proposed at LEADCON 2022, one club per district was selected to engage with either Schoolhouse or GLC to increase international engagement at the club level.

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE

GLC is a program with video leadership courses that can help members develop soft skills and prepare for leadership throughout high school, in Key Club, and during their future careers.

The YOF Grant is a resource providing monetary assistance to clubs in need (from $250 to $2,000) through a bi-annual application. Supported projects range from city beautification to hygiene drives and are given to clubs worldwide.

COLLEGEWISE SCHOOLHOUSE

This college counseling organization offers experts who help students craft their college applications through counseling sessions and bootcamps. Key Club members have access to various resources for navigating the college application process - including a resource library, blogs, and podcasts.

Started by former Key Club member Sal Khan, this organization connects students with free, online peer-topeer tutoring over Zoom. Key Club members and become tutors and host live tutoring sessions.

ERIKA'S LIGHTHOUSE

Promotes mental health and growth for teenagers through resources to help stimulate conversations about mental health in students. The Positivity Pledge encourages students to grow in well-being, mindfulness, and gratitude. The Beacon of Hope Walk will raise awareness of depression and suicide among teens.

The Thirst Project works to bring an end to the global water crisis by building freshwater wells in developing countries (specifically in the Kingdom of Eswatini); it is a younger organization that utilizes modern methods of service and engagement.

Key Club is continuing its long-standing partnership with UNICEF USA through the Start Strong: Zambia Initiative. Members can help raise money to support UNICEF's efforts to provide educational materials to students and help build schools in Zambia.
