There’s always someone who wants to cast even further – for those guys we developed Forty Plus Expert – by increasing the head length, whilst maintaining the same head weight the whole cast is smoother, allowing expert casters to send a fly to the next county. The use of Power Core, helps reduce energy loss associated with regular ‘stretchy’ lines. Ridge running lines reduce tangles and improve shootability.

When we were first asked to develop this line, we asked ourselves why anyone would need a 50lb test core in a fly line, our testers in the Seychelles said they just did. The ‘hit and hold’ style of GT fishing on a reef edge is fast and furious, putting a fly line under extreme pressure as you try to stop these ‘bad boys’ of the salt trying to disappear with your fly line. Ridge GT came through the test without any issue’s – proving the strength of our welded loops beyond any doubt.

Peter has fly fished for over 40 years travelling the globe in search of flyfishing adventures. Dutch National Fly Fishing Champion in 2008, 2012 & 2016. Winning Silver medals in 2009 & 2010 and Bronze medals in 1989 and 2013. Peter’s best result at the FIPS Mouche World Fly Fishing Championships was a 16th place in Scotland 2008.

In his role as Airflo Sales Director, Gareth has travelled the world making sure our lines perform in their intended environments - tough job. A Stillwater specialist, Gareth has fished to the highest levels in competition, but in recent years has turned his attentions to saltwater with a serious inclination for both Tarpon and Stripers.

Peter runs Elberse International and is responsible for distributing Airflo in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria.
