1.1 S.P.O.R.T. S.P.O.R.T., it looks like a general name of moving activity here. However, S.P.O.R.T. is a combining word that represents 5 meanings, space, public, overlap, rotate and transformation in this word. Space is our environment and active place, it is the most important portion that I operate and create. Public is represent share (act with other), including time and space. Overlap means the stack of space that is not at the same level but is occurred in the vertical. It breaks the vertical boundaries of the upper and lower floors. Rotate is a dynamic process of exchange through the fixed center (core), which is the source of spatial variation. Transformation is forms and vision changes of building exterior and interior. Because of the rotating schedule, it presents diversification architecture not a rigid building. This is different from the past that our concept of using space. It is more efficient to use the extra space and rests.Because of the movable space of buildings, this fresh idea allows us to create more diverse space programs and human behavior.

People who engaged in exercise are concentrated in the afternoon and evening. Middleaged and elderly people exercise in the morning. Because of Taiwan's low-latitude, it is not like high-latitude countries that have more sunshine in summer. After a working long time, it is always dark. Therefore, it is not easy to obtain sites, so people use natural exercise majority, such as jogging, hiking and walking. However, young people use place and facility in school as their main location of leisure activities.

Number and frequency of movement in Asia are less than in Western countries; the young and elderly people are both have shown this trend. The population of child and retirement age exercise frequently. Most of the middleaged population has low frequency of exercise relatively. In this part, the situation could be attributed to a reason that the age of this people spend more time for working, and this condition is more obvious in Asia than in Western countries. In fact, developed countries have good exercise habits. Undeveloped or development countries have poor exercise habits. In addition, there are many types of sports; different countries have different preferences, even if, in the same country, different sports also have their fans. Broadly, “sport has been sustained occurrence, and it will not change too much because of external factors.

In the global competition, the atmosphere of sport spreads in our city, Taipei. Sport phenomenon has gradually taken seriously by government, and it also affects many people. Moreover, sport has become many different types. Fields that can be used more and more. Unlike the previous simple space that we used early, we can use many international standards fields now, we don't need to limit in a bad space anymore. On the other hand, it greatly enhances our country's strength and competitiveness.
The distribution and usage of Taipei riparian area.
There are groups of mountains around Taipei. The entire city composes of a river, Danshui River, and three tributaries. In the areas between rivers and lands, it forms a series of green belt. Furthermore, it is a formation of natural sports field. Sports behavior is not limited in narrow urban areas. In this area, we can do a larger scale movement such as football, soccer, baseball, bicycling and so on. Plus, the grounds can be used from day time to night time because of lightings.

The introduction of five-day working weeks in recent years has led to a surging interest in sports and leisure activities. A crowded city such as Taipei in particular requires well-established facilities to administer a sustainable exercise environment for its residents. In order to promote public health through regular exercise, the Taipei city government has planned to construct civil sports centers in all 12 municipals, enabling local access to recreation within limited urban space. This survey will employ 5 Sports Centers that have been built as a case study to examine space distribution at civil sports centers and provide a basic background to current facilities available. It will introduce sport center exercise place and relationship of floors. Due to its space influence, hoped may provide the basis knowledge of designing a sports space, and it could be a novel sports center or facility for residents in the future . Beitou Sports Center

Creating a new different type of sport
We can observe numerous new sports behavior in our life. It could be an action that is intercepted from a moving action. Therefore, its appearance may be due to the environment, equipment, demands. Also, it may be an idea that was created in the virtual world. In sum, I am looking for new possibilities of design from these examples and experiences. Arcade basketball machine is an interception of a simple activity, shooting basketball. It let the shooting action occur in our daily life or virtual world.
DanceDanceRevolution DDR is a successful combination of activities and space in the playground. It have rich content that can attract users and spectators, in addition, it also have a simple space and structures that divide users and spectators.

Sports space isn't enough in Taiwan, there are produced some special sports behaviors that only take an apart of action of sport. Using this way and device satisfies a desire of sport. Actually, the device make the behavior become an activity that have a strong game nature.

We use many kinds of sports action to analyze, from the body, equipment and space, and to examine the relationship between each other. The human body is a center, which can cope with the interference of external forces; however, it still does not change the center position. The remaining part is the variation between real space and virtual space. Through the careful investigation, we find that the phenomenon of rotation occurs in all sports behaviors.

Movement and spatial relationships
Turn, is a simple action that can changes a steady object in a moment. We can see objects that change their angles from 0 to 360 through the rotation. The normal patterns may become distorted, extended, irregular in that time. However, turn, this action is actually happened anywhere. For instance, our joints rotate, so it develops different human actions. Doors and keys, they can rotate so that machine switch is opened. The beverages are drunk by rotating the cups of bottles. The cars can change their directions because their wheels and the steering wheel are rotated. The relationship between movement and rotation are related closely. After the deformations of the rotation, we often create many unexpected results.
Normal path
Particular path
There are not only fixed spaces but also invisible place in the city, they all can be used as sports field and it should be integrated in our environments, if you need to exercise, you can use the paths of movement, if you don't, you can use the normal paths. Sports behavior actually controls on the subjective consciousness.
Actually, sports occur any time, we can use space to express the movement patterns, meanwhile, movement patterns can also be used to design the space. There are no conflicts between those formations, however, it creates a new space using types and using behavior.
Spatial characteristics and development of the model
Through this rotation process of models, I generalize six original characteristics of the prototype. The following pictures are their spatial features.

Homogeneous collection
Continuous cutting

Concept image in the city
This design attempts to create a room that can exercise. In this room, people do not need to use their own personal energy, and they can exercise. In contrast, creating a variable space is other purpose, in this space, using the power of movements could also change the original space. This phenomenon take place widely in the city where is full of street furniture, commercial space, retail stores, offices, squares and so on. Section Because of the rotation of external shape, the internal hollow space resulted squeeze and expansion. The large space becomes a tiny space. A small space masses a colossal space. The impact of architecture has become larger.
Different densities and scales in the circular space and human body
Ring Ring is the smallest unit of structure. Ring can be used as any material, such as glass, wood, plastic, steel, concrete, plaster and wax. Ring size can alter in response to the needs of the construction.

Circular system in urban area I took a prototype of circular space (ring) to every corner of Taipei; those corners are in our environment, I would rather find some places, not just some general regions, like plaza, train stations, parks, and playgrounds. I attempted to find a place that is forgotten easily by people, and isn't being noticed in urban area. For example, the center of crossroads, lower space of overpasses, the skyline of two large department stores, nobody using construction site and so on. This is a subjective and intuitive practice. This site searching is a metropolis exploration, I find the most suitable location by walking in the city. Using this angle of observation, I am close to the opportunity of design requirements. Because I have a basic knowledge and background to this modern city, this strategy will be utilized and practical in many global places. Finally, I chose a place where the most vigorous district of Taipei, actually, the site doesn't have a real name. This place was a river before, and then filled to become a wide green belt by the government, it is also the hinterland of the site.

Prototype of circular space can be regarded as an urban spreading phenomenon. Its influence is not only in a building but also adjacent buildings, that is why entire neighborhoods have become my main design range.

Section Restaurant & pub Core Gym Office public space
This block includes five buildings, two 13-floors, one 12-floors, one 7-floors and one 3-floors building. Each building has different content and functions. The link between the buildings must be used on the first floor or outdoor space in our past comprehension. Therefore, people who want vertical and horizontal movement need to rely on stairs, elevators and walkways. However, the insertion of circular system (ring) brings different use of space. First, it changes all the time. According to the Population, It can expand or shrink space by unfolding or folding. Second, when two spatial types overlapped, it could appear a third using condition. Third, the more important element is “time”, circular system (ring) can be adjusted the space usage by time. For instance, gym can be expanded to the largest because of the demand that is a maximum in off-hour time. Nevertheless, offices are disappeared in the night time because the demands of space and users are reduced after work. That space transforms to a void where can be a ground for exercise people in the gym. In other hand, if I want to go to the gym in the same building in the past, I need to spend some time taking the stairs up and down. However, I just need to turn around, open a door in the exchanging time of the space of circular system (ring), as soon as I can exist in the gym.

The northern one, 12-floors apartment is a predominantly residential building, because of the interior space that is close to the center of site. I use this portion to join other buildings, it will show a unique living space due to its crossfloor usage, there are commodityrelated functions majority, such as dwelling, garden, hair salon.
The larger one, 12-floors building, is a construction that faces an avenue and square. It has an ability of gathering crowds and accommodating many space programs, such as sports, office, study, dining.
The southern one,11-floors erection is a typical building that mixes with residential and commercial functions. It is faced the most prosperous road in Taipei and located in the center of downtown. Commercial expression is very obvious. The space was mainly organized by advertisement, coffee shops, cram schools, cinemas, rental studios.

The smallest one, 3floors house, is a retail area that is assembled with many small stores, peddlers and vendors. This is a very vigorous commercial location. Using those movable roofs and walls, it will show an organic constructional way and trading behavior.
The eastern one, 7-floors building is an intermixed space. The floors it is relatively less, and the export is in the alley. There is a great diversity of contents in space. I designed it as a homogeneity space that blend into different activities .There are a record store, theme restaurant and bar.
