THE WARMTH OF WINTER
Many think of winter as a cold, dark and lonesome time. Those who found their way here know this not true, however: it’s actually the opposite. Here, Winter is a time of light, love and kindred spirits coming together. Here, Winter brings blissful happiness of the heart-warming kind. Let your days here tell the story of a season we cherish. The tale of mythical mountains, a vast expanse of legendary slopes, musical highlights that will top any adrenaline rush, and of a flurry of memories that will stay with you forever.
Amidst these snow-topped summits, we gather to set in motion the change of seasons. As we dance, our beloved Mother Earth knows the time has come. We celebrate Winter, for soon, the hiemal magic will disappear into the crisp thin air, only to be awakened again upon your return. So, on you go. Breathe in the cold and let it warm you from within. Fill your cups with melodious soul souvenirs and fly – down the mountain and into the music.

REMEMBER THE NAME
ENJOY EVERY DROP OF LIFE
Connoisseurs base their choice on the type of grape, whereas laymen tend to base their choice on the design of the bottle; but when it comes to picking your new favourite wine, you can have both. Literally translating as ‘One Life’, Solo Vida celebrates the beauty of life. Inspired by the love for craftsmanship, Tomorrowland designed a unique bottle that perfectly accentuates the magical blend within. Just open your bottle and release the butterflies!

If you combine ‘upcoming talents’ and ‘Tomorrowland’, the first thing that will pop into your mind is probably something music-related. But there is so much more to Tomorrowland than only music. It is the total package: from culinary surprises to magnificent artwork, from the beautiful People of Tomorrow to the rawest, unreleased tracks and from mind-blowing artists to the best apparel to take home. That’s why Tomorrowland will invite talents again from four different industries to become part of ‘Remember the Name’, their very own talent pool. Keep an eye out for fine arts this year as you might run into one of these passionate talents.
STRAIGHT TO THE CORE
It quickly became a household name, and rightfully so: CORE boomed, bloomed and blossomed from being everyone’s favourite hidden stage in Belgium to being a festival of its own, with a special edition in mesmerising Mexico. And that probably explains why everyone adores CORE, as the music it brings is a perfect match for the taste of ravers looking for something different, bohemian Tuluminati and seasoned festivalgoers alike. With more live acts than your average electronic festival, yet more than enough danceable beats, CORE brings a unique mix of music, drawing an eclectic crowd; it’s a place where everyone feels right at home. Head straight to the CORE on May 27 & 28 in Brussels. Tickets and info via corefestival.com.
TOMORROWLAND BRASIL
THE GRAND RETURN TO BRAZIL
After years of dreaming about it, the time has finally come. Tomorrowland is making its grand return to Brazil! To say, ‘if you know, you know’ would be an understatement, because the legacy of Tomorrowland Brasil has lived on in the souls of many. Anyone who was part of the editions in 2015 or 2016 has been touched by the energy of the incredible crowd, wishing and reminiscing to relive those memories once more. It’s official, you can! A MYTHICAL MEMORY
There’s no place like home, and everyone who was lucky enough to be part of Tomorrowland Brasil before knows that Itu will forever remain home to them. The lush and green scenery of Parque Maeda in Itu, about 90 kilometres from São Paulo, housed the first two Brazilian chapters and will now host the long-awaited third.
But it isn’t just the beautiful festival area and the touch of subtropical sunshine that made Tomorrowland Brasil a mythical memory. It was the warm welcome, the tears of joy shared amongst friends from far and near and newly made and the relentless positive energy. Oh, saudade!
WARM WELCOME BACK
Vintage Culture is looking forward to welcoming Tomorrowland into his home country, just like he was invited to play Tomorrowland Belgium. “Tomorrowland
is one big family. I could really see and feel this in the way they hosted me in Belgium. I’m very happy to welcome them again in our country.”
Brazilian DJ Alok performed at Tomorrowland Brasil in 2015 and 2016, as well as at several editions of Tomorrowland Belgium: “Tomorrowland is an iconic landmark that has become one of the world’s most notable festivals in electronic music. I can’t even begin to describe how much the festival has contributed to my career. It’s a magical and unique experience, both for myself, as well as for the festivalgoers. It’s impossible to go to Tomorrowland and leave the same person you came as.”
ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD
Returning with ‘The Reflection of Love’, people from all around the world will gather in this magical place once again. More than 60 nationalities will dance together during three memorable days, to the music of the planet’s finest electronic artists. FOREVER UNITED THROUGH TOMORROWLAND
The mountains are calling the People of Tomorrow from the four cardinal points towards Alpe d’Huez. By the end of this week, new friendships will have been made and people from all walks of life will have cherished profound moments. There are, indeed, countless treasured friendships and relationships which start with ‘Once Upon a Time at Tomorrowland...’ - just like the love stories you’ll find on these pages!

Did you meet underneath the snowflakes during Tomorrowland Winter or under the confetti in Boom or Brasil?
“My husband Manuel and I met at Tomorrowland in Boom! For this story I have to take you back to the summer of 2016: my first Tomorrowland. My then boyfriend Alper and I met David and Coco. The next year we wanted to party again together, but got tickets to different weekends. They kept us up to date during the first weekend and we witnessed a gay wedding happening at Tomorrowland. The second weekend, Alper and I met Fred and Raul, who turned out to be the newlyweds! Years later after Alper and I broke up, the stars aligned at Tomorrowland. Via Fred I was introduced to my now husband.”

Did you meet underneath the snowflakes during Tomorrowland Winter or under the confetti in Boom or Brasil?
“My wife Katharina and I met Hannes and Ramon when I was preparing my marriage proposal at Tomorrowland in 2017. I ran into them when I was trying to get people together for the proposal. Afterwards, I found out they found me a bit annoying and a pain in the ass, but we spent the whole time together. Also, the years after that, we went to Tomorrowland and on a vacation in Switzerland together.”

grabbed my wrist gently and pulled me in. It was very natural. He then put his hands around me and asked, ‘what about a kiss?’. That was bold, but I applauded him for the courage from the inside. He was wearing sunglasses, so I replied, ‘let me see your eyes’. He slowly removed them, and there he was with eyes like the colour of the ocean. They were mesmerizing, so guess what? Yes, I kissed him! He hasn’t let me go since!”
Which Tomorrowland adventure is on your bucket list or about to unfold for you?
“My whole life! My husband is from Switzerland, but our connection was strong enough to accommodate our love across thousands of miles between Basel and Miami, where I lived at that time. It has been 3 and a half years since we met at Tomorrowland and two years since we got married. His eyes are still enough to make my heart melt. Long story short, if it wasn’t for Alper, Coco, David, Raul, Fred and Tomorrowland, I may not have found my favourite human, who always makes my heart skip a beat!”
“It was very special that they were at our wedding in 2018. I would never have thought that such friendships could develop at a festival. My wife and I also went to Hannes’ wedding. The friendships means a lot to us. Katharina and I now have 2 children. Hannes and his wife do too, so nowadays the families always go to Switzerland or to Tomorrowland Belgium.”
Which Tomorrowland adventure is on your bucket list or about to unfold for you?
“On the Tomorrowland to do-list there might be a trip together at some point, but the original Tomorrowland in Belgium is the festival I will go to every year. It’s the place where I have the best memories with the most people from many countries.”

Did you meet underneath the snowflakes during Tomorrowland Winter or under the confetti in Boom or Brasil?
“Daoud, Maxim and I were neighbours at DreamVille! We were just chilling outside our tent when they invited us over to hang around with them. Daoud is a very friendly guy who wants to get to know other people and their cultures. Maxim is a cool dude who is just vibing to his own music (on his portable speaker) all the time. As the days passed, we created lots of memories. After Tomorrowland, they brought me and my friends on a tour around Brussels and we spent an amazing time together. ‘Till this day we are still texting and keeping in touch with one another. We do catch up on a weekly or fortnightly basis.”

Did you meet underneath the snowflakes during Tomorrowland Winter or under the confetti in Boom or Brasil?
“We like to call ourselves the Cosy Crew and all of us met underneath the confetti in Boom for the first time. This was definitely the happiest day of my life! Zoe, one of my best friends now, wrote in the Tomorrowland Lovers Facebook group in May 2nd of 2022. She was asking who was going solo to the festival and would like to meet there. It didn’t take long until the 10 of us had a private chat on Facebook. And that’s how our friendship started.”

Did you meet underneath the snowflakes during Tomorrowland Winter or under the confetti in Boom or Brasil?
“Tomorrowland was introduced to me by a bicycling couple from Amsterdam who visited my wife and me on their across-the-US bike adventure in 2018. During my online research about Tomorrowland, I met Anne from Oslo, and we decided to try to meet at Tomorrowland in 2019. On the first day there, I reached her via message and found she was only about a minute away from where my wife and I were. We met and she had a friend with her whom she had also met online, Margarida, from Lisbon. The four of us ate together, hit the Mainstage together and moved along to other stages.”
We are surrounded by the highest peaks at
Tomorrowland Winter, but what was the ultimate peak of your friendship?
“I guess the ultimate peak is sharing my personal issues I’m facing back home with Daoud. We share our likes and dislikes and it’s great that we understand one another. There isn’t any judgment or hatred. It’s about consoling each other and seeing each other happy. And these people give out positive and happy vibes just like everyone else at Tomorrowland!”
Which Tomorrowland adventure is on your bucket list or about to unfold for you?
“Tomorrowland 2023 in Belgium with Daoud and Maxim! After one year, we’ll finally get to meet again and have that special bond... and the laughter. There’s definitely more memories to be created because memories last forever!”
was super unique when we could finally meet in person at Tomorrowland. We all come from different countries, cultures, languages, but the love for music and life has united us right from the start and will do so forever! As soon as I jumped into that Facebook chat for the first time, I knew that these people were going to be my family for the rest of my life.”
Which Tomorrowland adventure is on your bucket list or about to unfold for you?
“Tomorrowland was on my bucket list! It has always been my dream to go to Tomorrowland, ever since 2013 when I heard the track ‘Spaceman’ by Hardwell. Then I knew I needed to go there. For our Cosy Crew group, we promised each other that no matter where we are in life, or no matter how our life changes, we will always meet at the Holy Grounds of Tomorrowland. It’s our meeting point for the rest of our lives: our happy place.”
Tomorrowland Winter, but what was the ultimate peak of your friendship?
“In January, 2022, Margarida and I were in constant Messenger contact as we both registered for Tomorrowland 2022. She and another friend, Jacqueline, helped with support to get Global Journey reservations. So, Margarida and I met again in 2022 and had fun dancing right in front of the Mainstage! Sometimes I think I’m too old to dance… I kinda just jump around. I was 78 then. Tomorrowland has been life-changing for me. I discovered that I love EDM and love being in the middle of the crowd at the Mainstage, even though I’ve been a shy kind of guy all my life.”
Which Tomorrowland adventure is on your bucket list or about to unfold for you?
“Tomorrowland Winter is too cold for me. I’m a warm
weather kinda guy. I’m afraid I’m not going to get to Tomorrowland in 2023... but I’m sure planning on it for 2024, when I will be 80. I might add: my wife is not an EDM fan, but was willing to come with me!”
A MOUTH-WATERING MOUNTAIN ESCAPE
Working up a sweat in the snow can leave your tummy growling for attention. But even if you’re not much of a snow adventurer, your inner foodie will be happy exploring the culinary highlights of these Alpine peaks. From renowned cocktail mixologists down at the festival area to the actual climax of dining in the sky, you can savour your way through winter with or without skis on. So set out on a mouth-watering mountain escape to get a taste of the world: from tropical barbecue delicacies to local delights like goodie-gooey cheese fondue and every flavour in between.
WORLDLY COCKTAILS PREMIÈRE (B)EAT THE VIEW
Want to feel très local this week? You can’t go wrong at either of these three eateries. Chantebise has mountain lunch package deals: three courses and a view to (b)eat. Similarly, Signal 2108’s panorama is as palatable as it gets, and their cheese fondue is one to match. And though every village in the world has a local madman, here in Huez they have many – and you’re on the verge of becoming one, too. Folie Douce is where the ‘folies’ gather to eat at or dance on the tables; the choice is yours. Continue the sweet madness at the adjacent Frozen Lotus stage.
This one is a Tomorrowland première: the opening of a new cocktail experience bar, Papillon 1860. The doors of this high-end cocktail place are sliding open this week for the very first time in history. Renowned mixologist Matthias Giroud from the Alchimiste Group and Elias Belman from Mesa Antwerp joined forces to create this truly magical affair. The gentlemen invite a number of lucky guests to their bar for a one-hour cocktail tasting. Papillon 1860 is fully sold out, but if you did manage to nab a booking, find the entrance near the CAGE stage and prepared to have all your senses stimulated by these heavenly drinks.
ELEVATE YOUR TASTES
Imagine flying high above the magnificent mountains, spending time with fabulous friends and enjoying a three-course meal. Nubes, the new lift restaurant, will turn that dream into reality. This extraordinary lunch experience takes place in a transformed lift cabin. Be ready to board this flight, which will elevates you to unseen heights in style. Besides the three-course meal, a selection of (non) alcoholic beverages and an appetizer is served as part of the experience. Make your choice between a tender piece of meat or the mouthwatering vegetarian option, and enjoy, high above the glistening snow slopes in your restaurant cabin.
PAPILLON 1860
This year, Tomorrowland is premiering Papillon 1860, a unique new cocktail concept, for which they invited Matthias Giroud. Matthias is a world-renowned name in the mixology sector and has been responsible for many successful concepts in over 35 countries. He was also part of the prestigious World’s 50 Best Bars ranking with the Buddha Bars that can be found all across the world. As co-founder of the Alchimiste Group, he is now spreading unique mixology collections from their magic creation lab all around the world. Here is what he has in store for Papillon 1860.
Papillon 1860 is opening its doors at Tomorrowland Winter for the first time this year. What can we expect?
“At Papillon 1860, you are up for a multisensory cocktail experience. Through all the senses, you will be introduced to the traveling flavours of the world at an altitude of 1860 metres.”
Could you shed a little bit more light on what lies in wait for the People of Tomorrow? “The non-alcohol Origin cocktail is the base of the experience. It’s inspired by six countries: Tomorrowland countries Belgium, France and Brasil, plus China, Kenya and Norway. From each country I took a different traditional flavour from nature, and for the Origin Experience I put the Tomorrowland planet in the glass to play with the theme.”
How does this adventure with the planet continue?
“Now, our Origin meets the four elements. For Earth, the Origin will meet Solo Vida sparkling wine and the result is served in a plant pot with an edible garden. For the Fire element, imagine a fire spray experience that will give you a new way of cocktail dégustation, wherein the Origin meets French low-alcohol Lillet Blanc. Origin meets the power of Water in different phases – liquid, gas and solid – with artisanal soda ginger/jasmin grean tea, to be discovered with a touch of Absolut vodka. And for the last element, Air, imagine the cloud of Tomorrowland flavours lighting up inside a magic glass pyramid, where our Origin meets Havana rum.”
THE SWEET SMELL OF SUMMER
Both music as well as scents have the innate power to reactivate memories. Head to Brasa to inhale that sweet summer sound of sizzling charcoal and the smell of spices over open fire. The Brasa chefs cook up fish, meat, burger or veggie dishes on the intricately designed Ofyr barbecues as you order a speciality beer at the Belgian Beer Bar by Victoria. Enjoy your meal at one of the standing tables or as takeaway. At the back of the terrace, you will find the hidden Brasa Experience restaurant for a sit-down dinner; just be sure to book in advance.
SECRET DATE NIGHT
Exquisite food, uplifting beats, incredible cocktails and, of course, the best company. If you ever needed a reason to visit Antwerp, look no further, as it’s the hometown of MESA – Tomorrowland’s own restaurant. Specialised in all the Tastes of the World, MESA will take you on a culinary journey around the globe with its unique sharing food. A magically mouthwatering experience, to be sure, but there’s more: hidden behind a mirror lies a secret entry to Secreta. At Secreta, you can enjoy a 4-course dinner and dance to the finest beats afterwards. The secret door only opens a limited number of times a year, so you will want to book in advance for a night to remember forever. Book your night via www.mesa.world

SCALING NEW HEIGHTS WITH ONE WORLD RADIO
For the People of Tomorrow who’ve explored Tomorrowland Winter before, One World Radio will be a familiar thing. But this year, they are up for a surprise, because Tomorrowland’s official radio station was updated with a new visual identity and schedule in January. In addition to the radio station’s regular hosts, Dutch duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, female Belgian DJ Amber Broos and British radio host Ben Melone got their own shows. Time to tune in with one of the new kids on the block.
Amber, congratulations on your new One World Radio show Sorry for the Noise. How did that come about?
“Thank you! It’s been a new and exciting chapter since I became part of the Tomorrowland family in April 2022, when I joined the booking agency. This radio show was a dream come true for me. I’m very grateful for the carte blanche I was given by One World Radio. They really let me do my own thing and put a lot of trust in me, which I appreciate so much.”
How do you look back on the first episode on One World Radio?
“It was amazing. I did 100 percent my own thing and I got a lot of positive feedback afterwards. It was so special to hear that people appreciate the classics. It’s part of my signature sound to use Belgian dance classics in my sets. Not just the super well-known evergreens, mind, but the kind which people have forgotten about nowadays.”
MBER BROOS B
As you mentioned yourself during the first episode, you select classics which are older than you are. How did you discover these tracks?
“My parents raised me on this music, my dad was a DJ. We have so many records at home, as a little girl I’d always be digging through them. This helps me tremendously when selecting tracks for my One World Radio show.”
Your own radio show at One World Radio isn’t your first job at a radio station. How did
you start as a radio host?
“I heard an item on the radio about gender equality among DJs. I tapped in on the item live on air, since I was a female, 16 years old, and a resident DJ for a venue in Brussels. We stayed in touch and I became a resident at the station too. It’s super helpful now, since I’m used to making dance shows. Now I can follow my gut feeling when selecting the tracks that I want to show off.”
Besides your new radio show at One World Radio, there is another chapter about to unfold when it comes to your Tomorrowland adventures.
“Yes, my Mainstage debut! I’m over the moon with this and I can’t believe it will actually happen. My parents are here to support me, so that makes it extra special. I’m a bit nervous, but I’m going to work hard to showcase my sound to all the international People of Tomorrow as best I can.”
Which artist will you go see for yourself to get inspired for Sorry for the Noise?
“Patrick Mason! I recently met him for another show I was doing then. He is off the charts, so energetic and inspiring. I must say, it was cool to meet him and other artists at the studio lately, like Solomun and ONYVAA. And now I’ll get to see them all again at Tomorrowland Winter - it’s so exciting!”
“I’m very grateful for the carte blanche I was given by One World Radio”

TODAY’S NEWS
LIQUID CRYSTAL MAGIC
Did you know you can become a snow angel yourself? It’s actually a very easy transformation, and a healthy one as well. Snow is really just magical, crystallised water. And in order to become a celestial frozen being, all you need to do is stay hydrated!
Drinking water has plenty of benefits; it keeps you fresh and healthy, helps against mental fog in the mornings and clears up your skin and your memory. So remember Tomorrowland tomorrow, remember to drink more water today. It will bring out your true inner winter prince(ss). And no cheating – just a glass of water before bed is not enough, so be sure to drink your liquid water crystals all throughout the day and stay hydrated. To help you do so, you can find mobile water bars during the early evening at Tomorrowland Winter’s Frozen Grounds. These are brought to you by Drink More Water, a campaign that promotes responsible alcohol consumption. Head to drinkmore-water.com for more info.
FREESTYLERS OF TOMORROW
Ready to bring your flamboyance to the slopes? Head straight to ellesse’s Snow Park. Whether you want to lounge in your best ski kit or watch freestylers go all out with their tricks, the ellesse Snow Park is where you need to be. Just downhill of the Crystal Garden stage you will find the ellesse Snow Park, the home ground of freestylers and riders alike. Join in on the fun or watch ellesse’s freestylers and paragliders do their thing between 16h00 - 17h00 from Tuesday to Friday. And ellesse’s Crystal Garden stage itself not one not to miss either, with stage design and a line-up that cannot fail to wow you. Every day from 12h00 onwards you can watch some of the world’s best DJs playing epic sets. And that’s not all, because even after you leave the Garden, the Crystal vibes will stick with you! Keep an eye (and ear) open for Ellesse’s mobile DJ, whom you can run into literally anywhere around the Alpe d’Huez slopes, to make sure the party keeps on going.
DO SOMETHING YOU’VE NEVER DONE BEFORE
LIQUID FIRE
Looking for a slice of the exotic in this winter wonderland? Olmeca Tequila brings a tropical Mexico to snow-toppes Alpe d’Huez. Did you finish your runs on the sunny slopes and are you ready to dance into the darkness?? Call it a day and transition into the night with a round of fresh herbal tequilas for you and your friends. You can find the mobile Olmeca bars at the festival site, and choose your favorite kick-starter for the rest of your night. The Olmeca bars are always ready to whip up some spicy shots of liquid Mexican warmth and kick off the most fun and unforgettable night!
SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A…
A pick-me-up of the enlightening kind, literally. At every Tomorrowland Winter bar, your favourite Red Bull mix can be served in a light-up-cup. Because one moment, you’re figuratively flying down the slopes and the next moment, well, you just need a little moment. For just an extra pearl, you get your wings at the festival site in one of these cool LED cups, which of course means that it is yours to keep. The illuminated cups make for a great tool to let your friends know where you are, they are a perfect conversation starter when you eye someone at the bar, and they make for a fun souvenir to take home for either yourself or a loved one. So grab a drink – err, cup – and shine bright like a snowflake shimmering in the sunshine.
Now that your days are full of joyous affairs and bubbly encounters, life feels easy. This is the perfect time to gain momentum to make a Switch for Tomorrow! What is a small change that you can make for yourself to enhance your daily life back home? Do you want to wake up earlier to have some precious time for yourself? Or maybe hit the gym more often, quit smoking or cut down on eating meat? Don’t stay in the realm of idle dreams – commit to your promise for tomorrow right now! From Tuesday until Friday, a live painter will collect the Switches of the People of Tomorrow and paint them onto a sculpture. Find the painter between 19h30 - 23h30 at the festival area in front of the Official Store with Tomorrowland apparel & accessories. Find out more at switchfortomorrow.tomorrowland.com.
BELGIUM IN THE ALPS
At the heart of the festival you will find the Belgian Beer Bar by Victoria, ready for you to join after sliding down the slopes all day. The bar is part of Brasa, near the festival entrance. Victoria is the strong and refreshing Belgian blonde beer made with 100% of ingredients of natural origin and a second fermentation in the bottle.
IN AWE OF ADSCENDO
MEET THE ARTISTS
Last year, Tomorrowland Academy opened their doors to curious individuals and dedicated talents who want to become better DJs. To celebrate Winter, they invited the biggest names for a Panel Talk and Q&A this week. Behold Afrojack, Kölsch, Kevin de Vries and Lost Frequencies sharing their knowledge! As Afrojack puts it: “I love doing what I do, but I love giving opportunities to other people even more.” And indeed this is your chance: join them on Monday until Friday for free via tomorrowland.com/ academy. Did you get inspired? Keep an eye out for next year’s Start to DJ workshops and reserve your Academy spot before they sell out again.

In the land of the sun lies Terra Solis, a magical oasis that will bring you an unforgettable adventure in the desert. Offering a unique glamping experience in the Arabian dunes, the serenity of Terra Solis invites you to dance to the rhythm of the sun and bask in the magic of the stars.

In July, Tomorrowland returns to the soil it arose from years ago in Belgium. The new chapter in the book of Tomorrowland to be revealed this year is called Adscendo. The People of Tomorrow got their first enchanting encounter with this year’s theme during Adscendo: A Digital Introduction in January. For those of you who want to immerse themselves even more, there is good news. For the first time ever, Tomorrowland is releasing the complete origin story of its new festival theme with a fantasy adventure novel. This 300+ page book is the key to unlock a festival experience for 2023 that has never been encountered before. Pre-order your copy via store. tomorrowland.com.
THE MUSIC OF TOMORROW
Tomorrowland has expanded the family with its own music label: Tomorrowland Music, offering impressive musical artists from all over the scene the chance to release their tracks. Take French artist Tony Romera, who just debuted with ‘Le Monde de Demain’. Translating as ‘The World of Tomorrow’, this driving melodic house tune was clearly inspired by the magic of Tomorrowland. Tony hits Winter’s Mainstage from 19h00 - 21h00 this Thursday. Coming out the day after is ‘Pegasus’ by Kevin de Vries, a high-profile name in hybrid techno. Ascend to his unique mix of euphoric trance and powerful techno at the Frozen Lotus stage on Monday from 14h30 – 16h00, or the Youphoria stage on Friday between 00h30 - 02h00.
Can’t get enough? Head to Spotify to look for the Tomorrowland Essentials playlist to stay up to date with all of Tomorrowland Music’s latest releases via the QR code.
RIDE LIKE A PRO
The chance of a lifetime for them might become the chance of a lifetime for you. Four upcoming DJs won the opportunity to play a set at the RIFFX locations, spread around the slopes. Take your stamp card and hop by all these musical checkpoints to collect stamps. All check? Return it to the Friends of Tomorrowland cabin to receive a hand warmer (game changer!). Even better: returning your full card earns you a chance to win an original Tomorrowland snowboard or a Tomorrowland pair of skis.
If, however, you don’t feel comfortable making your way around the slopes just yet, there is another way… Head to the Friends of Tomorrowland cabin to guess the secret artist. A correct answer wins you a hand warmer and gives you the chance to win the snowboard or skis as well. Then you can learn to ride like a pro with the most epic gear!
HEARTWARMING EMBRACE
An ice sculpture that warms you up? Feel, capture and share an embrace at the Coca-Cola heart sculpture. Become part of this ice art installation with your winter besties, as it invites you to step inside and eternalise the moment by means of a photograph. The elongated ice bench, attached to the main attraction, offers breathtaking views over the spectacular valley: a great place for a moment of rest and recuperation and a heartening chat with friendly passersby.
Find the sculpture on your righthand side when exiting the lift to Le Signal. Though the sculpture is awaiting your visit week-round, between 12h00 - 16h30 from Tuesday to Friday, a photographer will be present to take your heartwarming snapshot. These photographs will be made digitally available to you afterwards.
MUSIC & ARTS FOR THE NEW GENERATION
The positive energy and love generated by the people attending the festival inspired Tomorrowland to set up the Tomorrowland Foundation. The Foundation focuses on supporting non-profit organisations that give young people living in poor communities the chance to express themselves creatively through music, dance and art, building up their self-esteem and independence in the process.
Last December, the Foundation teamed up with Kolkata (India)-based NGO Ek Tara, and together they opened a Tomorrowland Foundation Music & Arts School there; it’s the second of its kind in the world, with the other one being in Nepal. This school will offer classes in music, dance, arts, theatre and other visual and performing arts to girls and women living in the largest slum communities of the city. It will give the vulnerable children a chance to express themselves creatively, work on their self-esteem, and create avenues to explore their talents and interests. All of these things, coupled with good education, will hopefully enable these children to break out of the cycle of poverty and lead dignified lives as contributing members of society.
Thanks to your support, the Tomorrowland Foundation can give long-term funding to these organisations and is already planning the opening of more Music & Arts Schools all over the world, from Brazil to Africa. But the support Tomorrowland Foundation gives to its partners is not limited to just financial means. They also help them spread the message of ‘Transforming the live of the poorest children and youngsters through education and empowerment’. People all over the world should be a part of this mission, and with Tomorrowland championing the cause, hopefully, more and more people will work towards lifting children out of poverty.
HOW TO HELP AT TOMORROWLAND WINTER
The Tomorrowland Foundation is funded through various channels, and you can also contribute in different ways. You could buy the Unite Forever Totebag at one of the TML by Tomorrowland stores onsite or in the webshop, for instance, or offer some of your leftover Pearls when requesting you refund, or even make a spontaneous gift via the Tomorrowland Foundation website: foundation.tomorrowland.com. Thank you!

FOCUS ON THE MUSIC
The Alps provide the frosty mountains and the amazing sights, you bring the energy and the smiley faces. The music, then, is brought to you by a dedicated and incredibly talented list of widely known international artists plus lots of new and old faces from France. And guess what? All of these DJs have brand new sets ready for you. On the next few pages, you’ll learn all you need to know about the music you’ll hear at Tomorrowland Winter 2023. Think biographies, interviews, curious facts about local artists and more. We won’t tell you everything, though, because remember: Tomorrowland is a journey of discovery!
UP ON STAGE
With so many snowy peaks as far as the eye can see, it may be hard to visualise festival stages right in the middle of them. But of course, thanks to the magic of Winter, that unlikely idea matches reality in Alpe d’Huez these days by no less than 100%. Let that sink in… All stages can be reached by easier routes, such as ski-lifts, as well as by board or ski, so you can go anywhere you like even if yesterday’s dancing still has your legs tired. Fancy raving on the top of the mountain? Want to know more about the Mainstage? Read on to learn more of what’s in store for you.
YOUPHORIA
CRYSTAL GARDEN
MAINSTAGE
The buzzing centrepiece of Alpe d’Huez village is of course Tomorrowland Winter’s magnificent, solar systemthemed Mainstage. The world-class venue is by far the biggest stage in the Alps – it is no less than 50 metres wide and reaches a staggering 15 metres up into the sky. And we’re pleased to tell you that the stage is 100% weatherproof, as it is fully indoors. The awe-inspiring line-up includes Axwell, Kölsch, Amelie Lens and Lost Frequencies. The venue is also home to a luxurious VIP section.
Tuesday (The Gathering): 19h00 - 01h00
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 19h00 - 02h00
CAGE
Love dark, sweaty dancefloors? CAGE is your go-to club in the snowy French Alps. As unlikely a place for a club as this may be, it’s all the more special that we get to enjoy it. Expect loud soundsystems, a mysteriously lowlit décor and DJs who will transport you into that special raving trance which is the essence of clubbing. Go check out Wednesday’s skilful DJs playing pounding beats at CAGE include Nina Kraviz and ANNA. By Friday the CAGE will transform into bass music heaven with Netsk, Aazar and more.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 19h00 - 00h00
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 20h00 - 02h00
Exciting news for all sporty psychonauts: Tomorrowland’s famous psychedelic stage, Youphoria, has travelled all the way to France for the very first time in 2023. That’s right, you’re witnessing a world premiere! The line-up for this mind-expanding stage is stellar and features a wide variety of artists including Afterlife protégé Kevin de Vries and Belgian rave veteran Yves Deruyter. And be prepared to go hard on Wednesday with hardstyle and hardcore acts such as Hard Driver. Rave hours run from the early evening through to the early morning!
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 19h00 - 00h00
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 19h00 - 02h00
MOOSE BAR
This is the bar the most dedicated après-ski ravers remember from their wildest dreams. Or from previous Tomorrowland editions. Here’s the deal: Southern German vibes looks-wise, lots of beer booze-wise and the best party minded electronic music sound-wise. Disclaimer: the music may come with a little silly twist here and there. Think house, hardstyle or EDM with odd sound effects like dancehall alarms as well as funny sonic weirdness that comes with a Tiroler twist.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 19h00 - 00h00
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 19h00 - 02h00
CORE
Take a deep dive back into your dreams of the past few weeks. Did you imagine the world-famous temple-like upward-facing figure of CORE to also be in the Alps, now covered in snow? Your manifesting has clearly worked, because here we go: the spiritual CORE of Tomorrowland has travelled to the most pristine of all French mountains. Nina Kraviz, ANNA and Dino Lenny make CORE especially exciting for techno lovers.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 12h00 - 16h30
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 12h00 - 17h30
With capacity for no less than 4000 ravers, Crystal Garden is the largest Tomorrowland Winter stage at the higher altitudes. This probably comes pretty close to what you envisioned when you got your tickets: this is raving with your sunglasses on, a mulled wine in your hand, overlooking the valleys of Alpe d’Huez and beyond. DJs snowboarding in the area and playing sunny party beats at the stage include Laidback Luke, R3HAB, Chico Rose, Ofenbach and Afrojack.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 12h00 - 16h30
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 12h00 - 17h30
FROZEN LOTUS
The Frozen Lotus symbolises the very early beginnings of spring. Nature and the seasons are part of an ongoing continuum; the fact that flowers survive even snow and frost proves that life is strong. Frozen Lotus is also a gastronomical hub in Alpe d’Huez where you can enjoy a refined lunch, then slowly recover from the food before you start the dance. The line-up for Frozen Lotus is equally tasty with Kölsch, Joris Voorn and Like Mike all set to perform.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 12h00 - 16h30
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 12h00 - 17h30
TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN
There’s nothing like the world’s highest stage at a staggering 3300 metres above sea level; it’s a spectacular place that has no equal in the Alps and it is – hint –probably the best place to propose to your partner if you have any plans in that direction. It’s a bit of a road trip to get to the Top of the Mountain, but the frosty rave you’ll encounter once you’ve arrived is absolutely unique.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 11h00 - 16h00
FROM SATURDAY TO TUESDAY
So you got here early? That means you’ll enjoy the pleasure of not having to rush into the wonderful energy of Tomorrowland Winter – better to build that excitement slowly! With so much to do during these first four days, there’ll be never a dull moment. Take your time to practise your skiing skills and to f ind your way around snowy routes and hillside bistros. The biggest draw of all is that you get to enjoy the music at the many stages that are open all week. The program at the wonderfully spiritual CORE starts right on the first day and the same goes for Cage, the ultimate alpine techno club. Bring on the good times!
THOMAS M
SUNDAY 19 MARCH | 12h00 - 14h30 | CRYSTAL GARDEN
Belgian DJ Thomas M has been a music enthusiast since childhood, and his passion has only grown since he bought his first two turntables and a second-hand mixer at the age of 18. He ventured into the world of non-commercial sounds and quickly became one of the best in contests and broadcasting. Now a resident DJ at Naughty (Brussels), Thomas plays underground techno and progressive music that incorporates warm sounds into an enjoyable and danceable atmosphere. And let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to experience that kind of energy in the midst of the stunning snow-covered French mountains?
MANDY
WEDNESDAY 22h00 - 23h00 | YOUPHORIA
The powerhouse known as MANDY is a truly dominant force in the world of hard dance music. Starting out at just 16 years old, she was determined to prove that girls can indeed rock the decks, which earned her a coveted spot at Coone’s label Dirty Workz. MANDY has taken her high-energy performances all across Europe, quickly becoming an online sensation with millions of streams for her original tracks and remixes of hits by Tiësto, Post Malone, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. And if that wasn’t enough to showcase her unstoppable (girl) power, her bootleg of SHM’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ closed both weekends of Tomorrowland 2019 with an absolute bang!

WEDNESDAY
The day we have been counting down to is here! Even if Alpe d’Huez has been home to the People of Tomorrow for a few days, on Wednesday there is much more to be discovered as the festival opens properly. That means that besides the Mainstage and the new area called Youphoria, you will be welcome to dance to your heart’s content at all the stages scattered from the mountaintops to the valley. Although it’s the perfect day for the ravers, with freestyle and hardcore at Youphoria and rave connoisseurs such as Yves Deruyter and Nina Kraviz at CAGE, don’t go all in at the start. Save some energy for Axwell’s set and none other than Martin Garrix himself, who will close down the Mainstage from 01h00 to 02h00.

Performing on various days at various stages this year, Nina Kraviz will be a familiar face to many by the end of the week. But what’s behind the visage of this staunch defender of underground music and artistic independence? Read on to find out.
We are surrounded by a winter wonderland this week in the French Alps. Does it feel like home for you, since you were born in Siberia?
“There are few things in the world that excite me as much as when it’s snowing. I can just stand there watching beautiful snowflakes falling, feeling like a kid again.”
What would be your best tips and tricks for the People of Tomorrow to withstand the cold?
“Drink something warm and move to some loud electronic music!”
What can we expect from you behind the decks at Tomorrowland Winter?
“I prefer to live in the moment, and hope that my best sets at Tomorrowland are yet to come.”
Tomorrowland presents CORE brought you to a whole different part of the world: the jungle. How was that gig for you?
“I really loved that show. The energy was so amazing. It was also very special to close it with my new song ‘Tarde’, which is in Spanish, and present it in a Spanishspeaking country to a Spanish-speaking audience.”
Do you take the differences between festivals into account when you prepare your sets?
“I always just go with the flow and read the crowd. Normally that concept works very well!”
If you had to choose between living in a winter wonderland or the sunny jungle, what would you choose?
“I am a proper Libra, so I would first live in a jungle for a bit, just to later escape to some snowy mountain.”
You are very all-round when it comes to music. Besides DJ’ing and producing, you have your own label and you are also a singer. What do you love doing the most?
“I love to be able to do it all together: to be an independent artist. The fact that I can be in control of the whole process, starting with songwriting, then producing a record, singing and performing it, then directing a music video for my new song and releasing it on my own label, makes me really happy. I have a small but amazing team of people who help me release my ideas. And it’s nice that my label manager is a woman. It’s hard to release music on your own sometimes, but I am not fainthearted.”
SUNNERY JAMES & RYAN MARCIANO
On this first full festival day, things start off on the right foot as powerhouses Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano are taking over the Mainstage. These Dutch brothers are no strangers when it comes to the full Tomorrowland experience, having been to the Winter editions before; they love snowboarding in the magnificent mountains of Alpe d’Huez. What’s more, they’ve already done some cool projects for Tomorrowland this year. Let’s check in with them to hear more about their exciting start to 2023: a new radio show at One World Radio and, of course, their set for this year’s edition in Boom during Adscendo, A Digital Introduction.
January started off right for you with a new residency on One World Radio. Can you tell us more about the show?
“We love radio in general and it is something we put a lot of energy into, as we really enjoy producing shows for the radio. For One World Radio, we had the opportunity to do something that is even more special. We are really excited to have this monthly show, where we really dig deeper into the record box, so to speak. We can showcase some unexpected gems and the new music we’re playing and supporting at the moment.”
What is the biggest difference between making a radio show and playing a festival set?
“With radio you can experiment a bit more, and go further out of our comfort zone, than you can at a big show. The other thing we enjoy is just the live interaction between the both of us as artists. You might not always see that, but we have a lot of fun, and a lot of high-energy interaction in our day-to-day. Radio captures some of that, and also allows us to discuss the music and artists we are showcasing in more depth. All in all, radio allows us to show another side to who we are.”
‘Adscendo, A Digital Introduction’ was aired in January, first unveiling the theme of Tomorrowland 2023 in Boom. Your set was part of the introduction. What did you think of the end result of this digital event?
“It was incredible! We know what the Tomorrowland team can pull off, but somehow they always raise the bar and this was no different. We got a lot of great feedback from fans and people who enjoyed the whole show. We also like how the digital introduction is connected to the event this summer. That’s really a touch of the future, where real life and the digital realm connect in an original, organic way. We’re very happy with it.”
If you had to choose between Tomorrowland in Boom or Tomorrowland Winter in the French Alps, which would be your favourite?
“That’s a tough one! We also love to snowboard and so Tomorrowland Winter is just such
a perfect combination of music, nature and snowboarding. But Boom, well, that’s just a highlight each year. We start thinking about it and planning our show months in advance.”
Last year at Alpe d’Huez, you guys had unreleased tracks from your album ‘Fundamentals’ to tease the crowd with. What do you have in store for this year’s set?
“We have a whole new project which we’ll start revealing gradually, and some new music from this will definitely show up in the sets. Doing the album was a great experience and really got us synchronized creatively in the studio. A lot of different ideas and music are coming out of those sessions and the great thing is, we don’t feel any boundaries. We are very liberated creatively right now. That’s a great feeling to have.”
What do you guys have in store for the rest of this year? Any other fun projects coming up?
“We’re going to be doing some one-off special shows, like Paradiso on May 5th in Amsterdam. This is an iconic venue that we have always wanted to have to ourselves and we are involved in all the details alongside our team. And regarding the music, like we said, we have some surprises coming up. A few things people may not expect, too, even though nothing we are doing is intended to shock or impress – we are just making what we like and stand behind as artists.”
You two are Tomorrowland Winter pros, since you’ve played all editions so far. What would be your pro-tip for this week?
“To enjoy the full experience. The mountains, the snow and nature by day and the music and the food by night. And with so many people from all over the world, it really is a unique moment in time. It’s a privilege really, when you can spend a few days in this kind of winter paradise doing what you love – it really is magical.”
“WE ARE VERY LIBERATED CREATIVELY RIGHT NOW. THAT’S A GREAT FEELING TO HAVE.”
THURSDAY
The second magical festival day lies ahead on Thursday, with most stages up on the slopes welcoming the die-hards at noon and only stopping when the lifts are about to close. It won’t be an easy decision to choose between artists such as Afrojack, Joris Voorn and ANNA, who are all closing a different stage between the snowy mountaintops at the same time. After attending your mountain closing set of choice, slide down the slopes for the second part of the day. Lost Frequencies, Henri PFR and many more will be tearing down the Mainstage, but spending your last energy of the day at CAGE, Youphoria or Moose Bar wouldn’t be a downer either.

LOST FREQUENCIES
Some DJs play Tomorrowland every year, but there is also another category of artists that are part of the close-knit group surrounding the festival. Charlotte de Witte is one of them, as is Netsky, but a key member of this family is of course Felix de Laet aka Lost Frequencies – one of the most talented melody makers of the current electronic scene. So talented, we’d do well to mention, that he recently received a Brit Award nomination for his hit ‘Where Are You Now’ ft. Calum Scott. After a year of full-on touring, 2023 is set to be a year with more time to create. With some new music being close to finished at the time of this interview, we might be in luck and hear some brand-new uplifting Lost Frequencies music, right here at Tomorrowland Winter.
“BE CAREFUL IN THE SNOW AFTER DRINKS. NATURE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU!”
How do you look back on 2022, the first year after your (and our) hibernation?
“2022 was all about a massive comeback of touring life. I was relatively lucky during 2021, still being able to play some small shows. But to go back to massive parties where everyone danced like crazy again was just incredible.”
2023 already featured a milestone for you: your Brit Awards nomination with ‘Where Are You Now’. How did that feel?
“To be honest, I was on holiday and in a totally different mindset when the news came through, so I didn’t quite realise how big this was until I came back from my break. I really enjoyed the evening, where it was just me and David Guetta representing electronic music at an event dominated by all of those great British pop artists such as Harry Styles and Stormzy. In a way it felt like my first step into that world.”
What are your plans for 2023?
“I spent all of February in the studio, which was incredible. Creating electronic music and blending it in with vocals is my favourite thing to do in the world. I have a bunch of music that’s about 90% finished, so I hope some of it will be done in time for a first test at Tomorrowland Winter.”
Rumours are you’ll be releasing a full album this year. Is that true?
“I’m planning to, yes! Working on an album gives me so much satisfaction, as it allows me to create music more freely. The singles need to adhere to the radio format, but with typical album tracks I feel like I can express myself more and put more creativity into it.”
Can we expect any cool collabs on the record?
“Totally, a lot of them. I am connecting with artists around the world right now, and I’m sending out instrumental versions of tracks to all of them.”
Your album ‘Cup of Beats’ features a photo of you eating wires. Can you tell us a little about your actual favourite food?
“I love Japanese food. There’s just so much to it: light and healthy stuff but also lovely fried dishes. I follow an account called Curieux du Japon on Instagram, which is about a guy who goes to restaurants every day. The way he enthusiastically speaks about dishes – in French with a Japanese accent – is infectious. But closer to home, I can also highly recommend croquettes aux crevettes, a typical Belgian dish based on shrimp.”
Are there any other favourite French dishes you’d recommend?
“For me there really is nothing like a baguette with a little butter and jam in the morning. That’s really from another world.”
As an experienced visitor to Tomorrowland Winter, do you have any other recommendations to share?
“Try to check out every single stage. It’s tempting to stick around at the same stage, but you’ll have a more complete experience if you venture around a little more. I love the smaller stages where you’re likely to discover new music. These stages have a cosy atmosphere which I really like.”
Will you have time to enjoy some fun in the snow this year?
“Yes, I’m going to be there from the first day with my family and some friends, and I can’t wait to ski!”
How about skiing tips? Do you have any?
“My biggest tip is: be careful in the snow after drinks. Last year, I slipped on an icy section and fell flat on my face. A reminder that nature is more powerful than us humans!”
FRIDAY
By the break of dawn on the final festival day, the French Alps will hold little secrets for you anymore. Memories have been made and collected, the ski slopes have been tried and tested and if by now, you haven’t yet travelled to all of the mountainside stages, well – you know what to do. Wake up fresh and map out the perfect day for Tomorrowland Winter 2023. Pick your favourite stage to visit and run into your new rave buddies for one last time. Don’t forget to digitally connect with them before going down to enjoy today’s special Bass Cage and dancing away the f inal hours with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Make every second legendary!

She has played at major clubs and events throughout the country and internationally in France, Portugal, and Morocco. Mademoiselle Luna is also a studio hit-maker with multiple successful tracks to her name. Her groove, house, and electro style make her one of Belgium’s best female DJs. Having built a worldwide fanbase, she’s now even become one of the DJs the People of Tomorrow look forward to seeing the most! It was about time we talked to her about her relationship to Tomorrowland, her passion for guiding young artists through the first phases of their careers, being part of Adscendo, A Digital Introduction and much more.
“EVERY TIME I DJ, I THINK BACK TO THAT DAY PLAYING FOR THOSE TWENTY PEOPLE AND SEE WHAT A JOURNEY IT’S BEEN SINCE THEN”
Being a Belgian DJ yourself, what does Tomorrowland mean to you?
“Being from Belgium, I could not be more proud of what Tomorrowland has built! Especially when you grow up in this country, it’s the festival everyone wants to go to. And as a Belgian artist it means the world to me to play here, as it is the biggest festival in the world and the summer edition takes place right there in my hometown. It is a very special moment: you feel like you are playing in front of the whole world, as so many people fly in from everywhere, and so many others watch the livestreams.”
You’ve been featured in a digital wonderland: Adscendo, A Digital Introduction, which revealed the new theme for Tomorrowland this summer. What was it like to be part of this?
“Even though I was so excited about it for weeks, I got a bit nervous right beforehand. I always get this with livestreams, and especially right before I have to start my set. It is somehow scary to do a recorded set that’s going to live online forever. But as usual, when I started the set I got right into it and forgot where I was. I just went with the music. To see the final result is always the most exciting part and especially with this project. It’s just so crazy what they did!”
The decision to perform under the name Amelie Lens was made during your very first Tomorrowland, right? Can you tell us a little more about what happened that day?
“Yes! The first time I played Tomorrowland I got booked last minute through a friend to DJ on a small stage. My name was not even on the line-up and I was never announced;
but people stayed for my whole set. The atmosphere was so amazing and I was so grateful for this experience! It’s unbelievable that I started my first set for just twenty people, and the year after for one hundred, yet another year later I played for 3,000. Next up was the Mainstage, and I also ended up hosting my own stage in the Atmosphere tent. Every time I DJ, I think back to that day playing for those twenty people and consider what a journey it’s been since then. And like you said, it was actually at Tomorrowland that I decided to change my name from RENEE to my real name. As I was not announced, people were asking for my name and when I said RENEE they could not find me on SoundCloud or social media. Shortly after I would release my debut EP, and I thought this to be the perfect moment to start using my real name on stage.”
What is the next big thing on your to-do list as an artist?
“To discover even more upcoming artists and to give them a platform through my labels and events! But also to produce more music – I am doing fewer shows this year so that I’ll have more time in the studio to work on my tracks.”
What are you looking forward to these next few days in the French Alps? Will you have time to wander roam and discover the slopes and stages?
“I wish! I am flying in from my USA tour and I have a gig in Madrid the day after, so unfortunately I won’t have time to stay longer. Hopefully if I play another time I can stay some extra days!”
