still pass away from lung cancer,” says Bill. Eventually Bill returned to I went into rehabilitation and spent the next 7 years sober, got married to a beautiful lady, Nsiimenta Rachael and we got our first child. To expand his businesses, Bill decided to build a hotel. His friend adviced him the best way to generate income to build his hotel would be to open a bar. After a year and a half of staying sober operating the bar, Bill got enticed back into drinking when a friend from USA insisted that as a host, Bill should sample a bottle of Whiskey. “I asked myself, what harm can a shot of Black Label whisky do?” And Bill took a sip that took him downhill into a trap of relapse, debt, and selling off his assets. Hitting his lowest moments, Bill couldn’t understand the alcoholism. “I desired to stop but couldn’t. My wife asked me to close the bar, my mother was scared of housing me. So I found myself in the streets after living in a 5 bedroom house on an acre of compound. I had no food and I couldn’t access home because of my behavior.”

When we began to dream about the Fearless Summit, our vision was to see a generation of people released into their God-given purpose; an army of ordinary men and women rising up and becoming fearless change agents across every sector of society. We believed strongly that the solutions to our problems, both as a nation and as a continent, lay within our people, and it is only as we challenged and activated them
I’m really excited about this year. I love the opportunity to network with people from all

to bravely step out and become solution providers in their communities that we would see our world transformed into what God created it to be. Through the years of the Fearless Summit, I have been blown away by the great stories from men and women who have been inspired to start initiatives that are transforming their world. We have seen Jesus followers bravely engaging in politics and bringing peace to nations. We have seen artists and media practitioners bravely cleaning the airwaves. We have seen men and women bravely starting initiatives to help people who are addicted or handicapped or impoverished. This is what the church is called to be and do! Our faith was never intended to be a private matter, but we are called to be the light of the world.
over the world who are passionate about the same things. I look forward to hearing stories of what God has done among us since we were last together. And as always, we have an exciting and inspiring array of plenary and lab speakers that will challenge you to raise your faith to a whole new level of relevance. I am always excited at the people who commit to bringing their entire office team, or their specific department for three days of serious leadership training. If you are in employment, or in some sort of leadership role at your office, our prayer is that the next three days will give you an experience that will challenge, motivate and inspire your teams towards new levels of leadership. Every year, we have partnered with different companies to help bring you the summit. Many of them are at the Fearless Village

and I invite you to visit their stands, see what they have to offer and find some great resources that will help us all to transform our world. Please refer to this Summit Workbook for all your direction needs during the Summit or talk to one of our Staff or Ushers if you need any assistance. They will be more than happy to serve you! At Fearless Summit, we are committed to living in agreement to Jesus’ prayer that God’s kingdom would come on earth as it is in heaven. Our prayer is that the generations that will follow will remember us for being brave enough to step out, live fruitful lives and advance God’s kingdom so that the world was transformed by God’s power and love through His people.

GETTING THE BEST OUT OF FEARLESS SUMMIT There is a lot that goes into preparing the Summit and as a result, we get a ton of great information, real stories, new relationships, a to do list that is longer than our session notes and inspiration to do more in life. The reality is that, all the information can leave you feeling so overwhelmed that you don’t implement anything after the Summit. Below are a few tips of how can you get the best out of this summit, and do what God has called you to. Remember, what you get from this Summit is greatly if not entirely, influenced by you.
1 lean in Listen with your Ears, Eyes and Heart. We have great content that is lined up for you. Facilitators who have taken time to pray and prepare for this. Regardless of who is on stage or what is happening around you, lean in and keenly listen to what God could be teaching you. Practice listening more than talking. Participate in conversations and activities. Here are some questions that could help. What am I hearing? What am I learning? What will I do about it?
2 relate with others This is a gathering of the “Fearless Community” from across the world. The people who are here are as valuable as each speaker, session or piece of information you will receive. Regardless of your personality, status or profession, choose to engage and meet new people and find out about them - you never know what that conversation might lead to. We are like-minded people who are eager to learn, and not just from the speakers at the front, but also from those that are right next to us. You never know what God might do through them.
3 AVOID DISTRACTIONS If you must have your phone on, please have it on silent mode. If you are using your laptop, iPad or tablet to take notes, switch off your emails and anything else that might take your mind away from the summit. You have invested at least 3 days to be here, so be here! Be Present and Attentive!
4 PACE YOURSELVES The next three days might be intense for you. Take care of yourself by eating well, drinking enough water, and getting enough rest at night. Most importantly, before the end of every day, take time to debrief (either by yourself or with your team). This will help you process what God is teaching you and prevent you from feeling overwhelmed. Our desire is not just that you get the most out of The Fearless Summit, but that you do something with what you get.

I went into rehabilitation and spent the next 7 years sober, got married to a beautiful lady, Nsiimenta Rachael and we got our first child.
Turning Point At the invite of a friend who had also been to rehab, Bill visited Mavuno adorned with icons of different kinds of addictions, pornography, the depressive or condemning message where people tell you to stop drinking and smoking or else go to hell. Pastor Antony Njoroge called on the congregation to reach out and help those suffering addictions. Looking back at my life, I noted that my issues started as a result of underage drinking. In 2014, Bill opened a face book page called Stop

Celebrating ten years of fearless influence
HER 1000 MILES Compiled by Wangeci Kanyeki
After the 2018 Fearless Summit Societal impact Challenge, 6 ladies took up the challenge to impact their society by mentoring younger ladies. On 13th June, 2018 while chatting at a car park fellowship after a Mavuno Church service, the mentor ladies realised that they each had a lot of young ladies around them who came for advice and guidance and it dawned on them that they had an opportunity to influence the next generation.
About Her 1000 Miles:
According to one of the mentors Rina Hicks, Her 1000 Miles is providing an environment, where younger women can receive mentorship and guidance on key areas in life. We have a pool of 7 mentors who provide diversity of different seasons experiences in the river of life. Some of the mentors are have corporate positions, others are homeschoolers whilst others are entrepreneurs. Everyone brings with them a different experience that greatly benefits the mentees. We found ourselves in a situation where we realised that we had younger women who needed advice or guidance on matters in their different season of life and we are willing to open up our lives to guide them.
Where they found the mentees?
Another Mentor, Mary Gitari explains how they located the mentees. “We started with the younger ladies we were already mentoring. We now have 10 mentees who are consistent whom we also ask if they could invite their friends. Most of the ladies who come say “I really wanted a mentor and this is an excellent opportunity to connect with our mentors.”
.........................................................................................................................................
.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
How we do it:
The ladies meet at one of the mentors’ home every four weeks and facilitate a 3-hour session. Each mentee has clear application take outs they will implement in their lives along the following pillars; Spirituality that directs you to God, Identity, Family, Relationships, Career, Finances,Marriage
Way forward:
We hope that the girls will in turn mentor others. Mentor Shiku Kanyottu explains her journey as a mentee. “I continue to be in a mentorship relationship where I intentionally connect with an older lady whom I respect and can emulate as we share common values. She in turn requires that I mentor younger ladies with the same expectation that my mentees will mentor others.
The Mentors: Top from Left to Right: Lucy Nderitu, Anne Nyamu,Watau Gaita. Bottom from Left to Right: Wanjiku Kanyottu, Mary Gitari, Faith Osiro, Chidi Karina.

What are my next steps ? What am i learning ?
Genesis 1:27. So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” What does it mean to reign? A dictionary definition is “to hold royal office, be the best or most important in a particular area or domain, (of a quality or condition) be a dominant feature of a situation or place”. I love these definitions of the word reign because they describe who we are or should be as “The Fearless”. You and I were made to Reign! When we were created, we were made in God’s image and likeness. We are an express image of God here on earth, fashioned after the likeness of the Creator of Heaven and Earth. God’s image bearers in creation, we were intended to act as His representatives because we have the same make up as Him. We were designed, in a very real way, to show the world who God is. When God gave us the command to reign over the earth, the expectation was to do so in a way that reflected His character. This meant that in your family, in your workplace, school, every sphere of influence you step into, you become the representative of God in that place. That means you take charge of that space; whatever the situation, YOU become responsible. A few years back the acronym WWJD was popular amongst Christians – “What would Jesus do?” In my relationship, my office, my family, we are to constantly ask ourselves, what would God have me do where I am? And in doing so, we would invoke His presence, character, influence wherever we are.

WE THE FEARLESS
a chosen people who are passionate about bringing godly Change in every sector of society.
We are the Fearless professionals and businesspeople who should stand against corruption and stop it from flourishing in our country. We are the Fearless artists and media practitioners who should strategize to combat immorality in the media and stop our societies from sinking more and more in depravity. We are the Fearless who should lead the way in protecting the environment and stop our planet from becoming a barren wasteland. We are the Fearless leaders who should advocate for unity in diversity and fight divisions along race, colour, tribe and social status. We are the Fearless parents and educators who see our role as mentors of the next generation, raising up a fearless army of Godly agents who will fight against the ills of their generation. We are the fear and dread of God against the kingdom of darkness in all our nations. We are the Fearless Network and we are God’s standard-bearers in every nation. The solution to our world problems will come when We, The Fearless, take up our responsibility in each sector of society. Being ordinary is not an option because the world depends on us. You cannot afford to blend into society and be insignificant. You were made to Reign! You were made to be Fearless! FEARLESS TRIBE, your mission should you choose to accept it, is to bring godly change in every sector of society. Here are two things you can do now; 1. Choose one thing you will do differently in the next year. Come back 2020 with a report of it. 2. Connect us with your organization, Church or Company to keep the conversations going and build the Fearless community, in order to transform our world for God.
Pst. Kevin Nderitu Executive Director Fearless Summit
Yet today, as we look around us, we see a complete misrepresentation of God’s character. Whether it’s in our families, society, or government, we continue to see the deterioration of godliness around us as more and more Christians shy away from the command to reign. To reign is about responsibility, not lordship. We are responsible for the state of the world. We are to devote our skills, talents, gifts, networks to restore and build things that are beautiful and represent the will of God. This is what Fearless influence is about. But the greatest tragedy of our time, is that many Jesus’ followers have come to see salvation as an event, and once salvation happens, chose to carry on with their business and wait for Heaven, not understanding that salvation is only a doorway into a life of influence and eternal significance. As a result, there are many who call themselves Christians, but have little or no impact on our society, on the way business is run, on the way politics is conducted, on the way the poor are catered for, or the way resources are allocated. Could it be because we have been taught that Christianity is a private affair meant to benefit me and my family? Might this be because we consider that God’s interest is in the ‘spiritual’ and lost sight of the fact that ‘the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it?’ God wants His goodness and power seen not just in church, not just in my home, but across the whole earth. Our God is fully able to bring order to the earth, yet He has chosen to work through humans, to whom He has delegated full authority to. We are his plan for the transformation of this world. WE ARE THE FEARLESS! God will not supernaturally spread the kingdom in your workplace or your family; that would rob you of your responsibility! Spreading the goodness and power of God is our job. We are commanded and empowered by God to reign, for He has crowned us with glory and honour and has given us dominion over all the works of His hands.
