As I write this, we are closing in on the end of 2017. What a year it has been! The motorcycle community is amazing, and I love it and live it every day. The charity rides that we were involved with and all the great rides in December make me always feel great. We also donated pizzas for Pinellas Hope so everyone there had a hot meal on Christmas Eve. I tried to do as much as I could this year, in my means, to help someone less fortunate. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a prosperous New Year! 2018 Here we come!!! January 12th – 14th begins the start of a busy few months for us. That weekend is GIBTOWN BIKE FEST. They have a great event at the Showman’s Association in Gibsonton and it is one entertaining event! Be sure to grab one of their collectable mugs as it is one flat price for beer and reasonably prices refills, BY THE WAY, it will also have the Full Throttle Logo on it!!! We will also be out there hosting two bike shows during the event! Turning from a stop on a hill Believe it or not, it's been cold in Florida the last week or so. With that being said, we caught up on reading a couple good books. We found one of Motorman's tips on a subject that many riders have a problem with, so, sit back and enjoy the article. Surprisingly, I'm often asked by even experienced riders how to turn when stopped on a hill. Obviously, there's some confusion here. The riders who ask this question state they know not to use the front brake at low speeds since it will pull them to the ground, but, since they're holding the bike up with both feet, they can't use the rear brake either. I understand the dilemma. There are actually several things you can do in this situation. One, you can feed a little throttle and let the clutch out just enough to hold the bike from rolling backwards (which is my personal method), but, in order to do this, you must be very familiar with the friction zone. Two, you can hold the bike from rolling back using the front brake which will enable you to keep both feet on the ground. Just remember to keep the front brake applied
16
as you feed a little throttle and start to let the clutch out. As soon as you feel the bike push against the brake, release the brake, allow the bike to start moving forward then immediately turn your head and eyes in the direction of the turn. The third and last method would be to keep your right foot on the brake, let the clutch out, feed throttle and as you feel the bike push against the brake, release the brake and again quickly turn your head and eyes in the direction you want to go. Of course, this method is only for those who are comfortable with balancing the bike on one foot. The best thing to do is try all three of these methods under controlled conditions. In other words, find a parking lot with a slight incline and practice until it becomes second nature to you. You should first try taking off on the incline smoothly going straight ahead and little by little, start turning the handlebars after you've released the brake. The bottom line is, you must become proficient with using the friction zone. Practice duck walking the bike but instead of pushing the bike forward with your legs, let the clutch do the work. Also, practice the slow race. You need to only get down to a quick walking pace. Remember to put a little pressure on the rear brake and keep your head and eyes UP! With 20 or 30 minutes of practice in a parking lot, you should get very good at coordinating that clutch and throttle. Wishing you all a Happy New Year, keep the shiny side up. Now that the holidays are behind us, I am anxiously awaiting to see what the year 2018 will bring us. I hope that Santa brought you everything that you wanted; if not, I’m sure there are more than a few places in this magazine that can lead you in the right direction. I know on a personal level, I had an excellent Christmas filled with friends, family and festivities. Thank you to everyone that was a part of it. On to 2018, we have some great events on the board: Key West Poker Run, Gibtown Bike Fest, FT Expo, Coral Head Music Fest, Bike Week, Leesburg, etc., etc. Check these events out in the magazine, on the website, or on the Facebook page. I know we are very excited about them and hope to see you there, remember

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We all wanted to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2018. Dec has been a such whirlwind. With all the toy runs and benefits. We tried to attend them all but with so many it was hard to be everywhere. We did manage to get out to a few. Me and Paul went down to the bog Toy's In The Sun Run in Miami. What a fun ride with ton's of venders and Music by Jackle and Scott Stapp of Creed. We met the organizer and promotor Lisa. She is a fantastic woman. She put that whole thing together by herself. We are talking with her about getting involved next year. We also had our Toy run to benefit St Joseph's Hospital. We had a Gentleman donate 600.00 to the run and then a good friend of the Full Throttle Family Rick matched it. Off to
40
wall mart we went. Feeling basket after basket of toys. What a good feeling it gives you to do such a wonderful thing for kids. It even brings grown Men to there knees. The kids love to see us all roll in on or bikes. It really brightens there day. Also Dec brought us our first ever sound competition out at Quaker Steak And Lube. Sponsored by S and S Sound in Clearwater. Check them out. What a turn out for this one. Mark Dicks of Low Life Industries took the first win with an unbelievable sound system on his bike. If you have a system that you would like to enter come on out to Quaker the 3rd Weds of each month and see if you have what it takes. Well that's about it for now. As always be free and ride safe. Hello everyone, the new year has started and I just wanted to fill you all in on a few things that I am doing and also what I am looking for. Here at Full Throttle we all have our own jobs that we do to keep this magazine running smoothly. My job is to book vendors for events such as bike nights and big events like our EXPO. I organize and set the vendors in their spots at these events. I am always looking for new and unique vendors to fit each event. So if by some chance you know someone or you are a vendor yourself, please send me an email with the product or service that you sell and we can discuss getting you in on some of our events. Please remember that we mainly book for biker events, so anything at all that is geared towards bikers would be great. We do have a wide variety of vendors so everything and anything will be considered. I have also started booking bands for many of the events. Bike nights are mostly during the week and you may have to travel a few miles away to play at that event but getting on our bike night circuit would be great business for any band. On average each band will play 3-4 hours depending on the bike night. You will need to bring your own Pa system, lights and what ever else you need to play. We do not supply equipment for
48
you. During the time that you take a break, we do get up on the mic and make announcements, but that is part of every bike bight. We may ask you to make a few shout outs to the vendors, bar tenders and some Thank You's to sponsors or whatever else is on our agenda for the night. If you would like me to take a listen to your music please email me with your website, or face book that has some live video. You can also mail me a copy of your cd if you have one available. I will take a listen and if your a fit I will definitely give you a call.. Also if you would like Full Throttle to come to your business and do a live Full Throttle lunch break, which involves us coming to your shop, store etc. with lunch and we go live on face book for about 25-30 minutes and help to promote your business and product. Our face Book has over 142,000 people from across the country, when we go live we do have many watchers and many people needing services. So it does help to bring you business. Send me your info via email please. Our address here at Full Throttle is 39 Oscar Hill Road, Tarpon Springs Fl. 34689, Please put Attn: Connie on your envelope. My email is: Conniefullthrottle@gmail.com I look forward to hearing from you!!!! SEE YOU OUT THERE ON THE ROAD, LIVE LIFE FULL THROTTLE

The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on his cell and said, “Where are you, you know we have lots to do.” He said, “You remember the jeweler’s we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I couldn’t afford it at the time and I said that one day I’d get it for you.” Tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up. “Yes,” she replied, “I do remember that shop.” “Well, I’m in the bar next to that.”

Just last week, I told her to give a patient 2 milligrams of morphine every 10 hours. She gave him 10 milligrams every 2 hours. He damn near died on us!” The second doctor said, “That’s nothing. Earlier this week, I told her to give a patient an enema every 24 hours. She tried to give him 24 enemas in one hour! The guy damn near exploded!” Suddenly, they heard this bloodcurdling scream from down the hall. “Oh my God!” said the first doctor, “I just realised I told Nurse Nancy to prick Mr. Smith’s boil!”

A kid comes home from school with a writing assignment. He asks his father for help. “Dad, can you tell me the difference between potential and reality?” His father looks up, thoughtfully, and then says, “I’ll demonstrate. Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Robert Redford for a million dollars. Then go ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Then come back and tell me what you’ve learned.” The kid is puzzled, but decides to ask his mother. “Mom, if someone gave you a million dollars, would you sleep with Robert Redford?” “Don’t tell your father, but yes, I would,” she replies. He then goes to his sister’s room. “Sis, if someone gave you a million dollars, would you sleep with Brad Pitt?” She replies, “Omigod! Definitely!” The kid goes back to his father. “Dad, I think I’ve figured it out. Potentially, we are sitting on two million dollars, but in reality, we are living with two sluts.”
******************************************** A woman arrived at a party. While scanning the guests, she spotted an attractive man standing alone. She approached him, smiled and said, “Hello. My name is Carmen.” “That’s a beautiful name,” he replied. “Is it a family name?” “No,” she replied. As a matter of fact I gave it to myself. It represents the things that I enjoy the most - cars and men. Therefore I chose “Carmen”. “What’s your name?” she asked. He answered “B.J. Titsengolf.”
WIFE’S DIARY Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, and was late. I thought he was upset at the fact, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn’t flowing. So I suggested that we go somewhere quiet where we could talk. He agreed, but he didn’t say much. I asked him what was wrong. He said, “Nothing.” I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn’t upset; that it had nothing to do with me; and not to worry about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can’t explain his behavior. I don’t know why he didn’t say, ‘I love you, too.’ When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. But, I still felt he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. We had sex ... he fell asleep. I cried. I don’t know what to do. I’m almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster. HUSBAND’S DIARY A two-foot putt. Who the hell misses a two-foot putt?
Hi Everyone! What an active month December was with a couple headliner events - the main one being the 30th annual Toys in Sun Run. This event brings out thousands of bikes and spectators which benefits programs & services for kids @ Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood Fl. The fundraising event is billed by organizers as the 'World’s largest Motorcycle parade' as biker’s zip down interstate 95 & 595 which are closed by police and also escorted by police. The cold weather didn't dampen the event as thousands turned out to celebrate the ride wearing Holiday hats & Santa suits- riding down South Fl highways with Toys strapped on their motorcycles. The ride ended at Markham park in Sunrise Fl with two stages providing nonstop music featuring headliner bands Scott Stapp of Creed and Jackyl also featuring the popular local band Soulicide. Other entertainment included a Huge Custom car & bike show, international Food Curt - lots of vendors - over 100 which included for the first time Full Throttle Magazine!! Was great to have the FT guys come down from Tampa to show their support for this great cause- Thank you!! The other Huge Event & giant celebration was the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. Broadway on Parade was the theme for the 46th annual Boat parade along the 12-mile route on the New River. Grand Marshalls Big & Rich performed along the route - each boat more dazzling than the other, the cutting-edge technology that these boats use today really make it all so vibrant & bright. The ar-
tistic level of lighting & sound filled the chilly air with festive holiday joy. Yachts - boats & even paddle borders were dressed up in Santa themed outfits, holiday hats & lite up necklaces. A festive time was had by all. Dania Beach Bar & Grill - a hidden seaside venue hosts some of the best bands including popular Blues bands every weekend. Two major players that really rock the stage - Natty Bo's Clay Goldstein makes magic with one of his many 'mouth harps' which he carries with himboy can he really rock that Harmonica! JP Soars and the red hots band are another favorite. JP is not the typical blues guitarist as he sometimes plays with a two-string guitar made of a cigar box - what an amazing sound that comes from that little box! So, go to the beach & check them out - they both have their own unique style and are available to play @ any open venue- events & parties! * Lastly want to remind you all to mark your calendar for the Upcoming event - Full Throttle Mag's Key West Poker Run Sat. Jan 20th. Starting in Fl city @ K & G Cycle and ending in Key West Oceans Edge- proceeds benefit Rebuilding the Keys! Hope to see you there!! That's it for now - more from KJ's Korner next month! Let's enjoy the ride & keep the rubber on the road! ** If you would like to advertise - Please contact me @ KJ.FullThrottleMag@gmail.com - South florida & Miami

Happy New Year to everyone I hope the holidays were good to you and yours and travels were safe. But between me and you, I can go without turkey and ham for another 365 days. But enough about getting fat and having the meat sweats, let's talk events! The second annual motorcycle rally for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a complete blast. Even though we didn't come away from the game with a W, we got to hang out with a lot of great people with good food and laughs. Then one of the most beautiful and unselfish thing I've ever been involved with was the 19th annual teddy bear toy run to St Joseph's Children Hospital in Tampa. And please, bear with me, literally it is so hard to talk about the feeling that you get when you see the faces of these beautiful babies as the motorcycles come rumbling up and the toys start getting unloaded from the trailer. You just have to be there to experience the true meaning of giving, it is something you'll never forget. And I must give a very special shout-out to a dear friend of mine, Eric Rosen, for stepping up to the plate and making a very generous cash donation to help us

“Reelin in the Keys” It is always a great feeling loading up the truck, heading across Alligator Alley to go bend a rod in the Keys. No matter which Key you are heading to, the minute you hit Hwy 1 you start to relax. My trip destination was Marathon to go fishing with Sea Squared Charters and host the TV Show “Reelin in the Keys”. I checked into the historic Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht club landmarked by their red & white Lighthouse, star treatment all the way. Our plan was to head out to Hawks Channel but the winds were pretty high so we headed south to fish along the 7 mile bridge. Our targeted species for the day were mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, jacks and yellow tails. Capt. Jason and Capt. Chris were on board along with fellow angler Marissa and we can’t forget the owner, producer and Telly Award winner “Fernando” Fred Barta catching all the action. Capt. Chris had told me about this “super secret” dry chum called ChumDrop & Yellowtail Up from Aquatic Nutrition, he swears by it. I tossed in a few handfuls, put some live shrimp on a jig and Marissa and I went to work. Right away her rod bent and she was hooked up on a Nassau Grouper, really nice size about 16 inches, then a nice Gag Grouper showed up. The first spot was a little slow and we decided to move down the bridge a little north to catch us some mangrove snapper and maybe hogfish. Started by
tossing in some of the secret chum and bam the bite was hot, it was hard not to catch a snapper every cast. If you don’t know, the trick is to put a live shrimp on your jig head using a spinning rod and let it slowly drop with the current behind the boat. Keep your spool open and your hand close by because you will need to set the hook pretty fast when they are biting. Mangrove Snapper spend most of their juvenile life inshore and as they mature they start to move out off shore. Inshore they average about 10-14 inches, 1-2 lbs., offshore they can reach up to almost 20 lbs. Offshore these snapper are found around reefs and wrecks, while inshore they live right were we found them around bridges, docks, piers, rock piles and oyster beds. Now remember you are fishing around all this structure so braided line about 10 to 20 lbs. test works the best. “Reelin in the Key’s” is an entertaining series shot documentary style, it is all about Charter Sport Fishing the Florida Keys and meeting the captains who make their living doing it. We take you out on the water fishing with various different captains, fishing in the backcountry and offshore. The Keys is the “Sport Fishing Capital of the World”, I can’t believe I have the job of fishing it with these amazing folks. Every episode you will learn tackle tips, pro secrets and hear “true” fishing stories about the captains of the Keys. The Hurricane’s can’t keep them down the Keys is open and ready for business, so pack your bags and head south. Hello from the East Coast…. hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and ready for the new year! So many great things planned this year for us. Not only do we have all the events to attend…like Key West Poker Run January 20th, Florida Motorcycle Expo February 9th - 11th, and Daytona Bike Week in March just to name a few, but we will also have a very important place we need to be in February…we are getting married! It has been so much planning in between the events, bike builds, and holidays but as it gets closer it gets more exciting! No worries if you have a bike in the shop, Keith will probably be working the morning of the wedding to make sure he gets it back to you like he promised…LOL. And that is the truth all jokes aside. A lot of love and hard work goes into every bike he touches, he builds it like it was his own, and stands behind it all the way. Hope to see everyone out at all the events in this coming year and remember we are your Reps for the East coast and would be happy to help you with your advertising in Full Throttle. Contact us @ Keith 321-4828074 or Heidi 321-961-7265. Safe riding everyone!
