Wow ... here we are 2011! I’m glad that 2010 is over as it was a very difficult year for the USA’s overall economy. Here in Florida it was extremely hard and hopefully 2011 will start a long and prosperous recovery! Did you get everything you wanted for Christmas? I received plenty of gifts, but the best thing was being able to spend time with my wonderful family. It was great seeing the kids and isn’t that what the holidays are all about? The NFL Playoffs are in full swing with the Super Bowl happening on February 6. At press time the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers look like the best in the AFC and the Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants look like the best in the NFC. No matter what teams make it to the big game, it is always the number one rated show of the year and usually a good game. My predictions include the "Battle of the Birds" with the Ravens -v- the Falcons. I look for Baltimore to win it all! How’s that for a longshot??? We have a few huge surprises in store for 2011 and I wish I could "spill the beans" in this column. Look for something brand new, cutting edge and unique coming to your computer within the next 4-6 weeks. I will have a lot more on this topic in next month’s magazine! I want to sincerely thank all of our advertisers who spent their hard earned money with us in 2010. We will continue to produce a top notch, always-on-time, great distributed magazine in 2011. There are other places to spend your money but why settle for less? Nobody reaches the adult public in Central Florida better than NightMoves and nobody has a better distribution network. We have been #1 for over twenty years and we have no plans of stopping in the near future! Have a great month and do what you can to keep those New Year’s Resolutions!

2011 is here and that means we can all start fresh! Get those new years resolutions ready and let’s make this year one of the best yet. Full Throttle will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary in November and we have already picked all of our dates for our big events we do all year long. Make sure when you are planning your events you look at our schedule so we don’t book too much on the same days and make the motorcycle community choose between multiple events to go to. There are plenty of weekends for everyone to book events. Our big thing this month is the Florida Motorcycle Expo and Bike Builders Invitational being held at Quaker Steak and Lube on January 28-30, 2011. If you don’t know about it by now then you must be living under a rock. There will be TWO huge tents in the parking lot. One of the large tents will hold the vendors and a stage where the Miss Full Throttle Contest will happen. The other tent will be full of all the bikes for the Bile Builders Invitational. REMEMBER, someone will be winning the top prize of $5,000 to the best bike in the Invitational. If you have a top quality bike and want to get it entered in the show, call Revrend Jim at 727-504-3138 to get your personal hand delivered invitation. Also, there will be special awards for 5 other classes with a prize of $500 for each class and a specialty trophy. Oh yea….. There will be ultra special trophy for an EDITORS CHOICE this year. This is the first time we will be doing it and it is 100% my decision on who will win this award! We are looking for QUALITY sales people who want to be part of the motorcycle community. Full Throttle has it’s finger on the pulse of what happens in the state of Florida and in the greater Tampa Bay Area. We are major sponsors of almost every large event that happens and we have numerous ways of selling ads, sponsorships and vendors at these events. If you are a sales person looking for a way to pick up a few bucks every month and have the drive and know-how to sell advertising, give us a call today. We will get you FT shirts, business cards and all the info you need to make money as soon as you walk out of our office! Call Tony Cianci today if you are interested at 813-814-1424. BIKE WEEK is right around the corner and we are selling sponsorships again. For $800 you get 5000 4X6 flyers for us to pass out that we will make for you, a 3X5 foot banner for your company and a half page in the March issue plus numerous other perks like web banners and the opportunity the hang out in our booths at Bike Week and promote your business. We will be in Daytona March 3rd thru March 12th. We are only selling 8 (EIGHT) sponsors for this years BIKE WEEK so call today and ask for Tony Cianci, cell 727-919-1743. Have a happy new year, and remember, DON’T DRINK AND RIDE!!!!

Triumphs........Patriots........and Rock n Roll It was just another bike event, another bike show that I was attending that included a few nice street bikes, a few trailer queens and some original antique "riders". But a couple bikes stood out if only because the owner of these two vintage trailer Triumphs seem to be telling anyone who would listen of the virtues of Triumphs and the fact that they were "All British and always British" he also added that Triumph was " Britains' greatest home grown industry". He seemed to be very convinced of this and the Union Jack T shirt he wore that said "Triumph since 1902" seemed to give him some street "cred". But as I told one of the guys standing on the edge of the group, "Things are not always as they seem" and I walked away as I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. For the man with the two very over restored Triumphs was sadly misinformed about the history and the origin of his beloved push bikes.

products were bicycles which the company bought and then resold under its own brand name. Bettmann also marketed and sold sewing machines that he imported from Germany. In 1886 Mr. 498 Bettmann wanted a more universal name and his little company became known as the Triumph Cycle Company.

I'm sure that you (my 91 loyal readers) are saying let's see "Mr. Almost 500" turn this into a classic ramblings German history lesson this time! After all the subject is Triumph motorcycles, the pride of England well I would guess ,after the Queen mum. But I must tell you my students of history that's an easy task here.

A short year later the company was known as the New Triumph Co. Ltd. and had financial backing from the Dunlop Pneumatic Tyre Company and it was in that year that Siegfried was joined by another Nuremberg native Moritz Schulte. In 1888 the two friends were lent enough money by their families to buy a site in Coventry, England and began producing their first Triumph bicycles in 1889. In 1896 Triumph opened a sister factory in Nuremberg, Germany for bicycle production. It was in 1898 Triumph decided to expand its production to include motorbikes and by 1902 the company produced its first motorcycle, a bicycle fitted with a motor made in Belgium. A year later Triumph started motorcycle production at its location in Nuremberg, Germany producing the same motorcycles as produced in Coventry, and for decades the Nuremberg factory produced models with the same 499cc and 545cc four stroke engines as its sister plant in England. While in its start up phase, the two Germans would base their designs on those of other manufactures and use imported parts.

You see the company began in 1885 when Siegfried Bettmann emigrated to Coventry, England from Nuremberg, Germany. At age 20, Bettmann founded the S. Bettmann & Co. Import Export Agency in London. His original

It would be in 1904 that they would begin building motorcycles based on their own designs and in 1905 would produce their first true Triumph motorcycle and by the end of that year they would sell 250 of these bikes. In 1907 as production reached

1,000 bikes a year, Triumph would open a larger plant in Coventry, England . But an immense amount of confusion existed between the motorcycles being built in the Coventry, England plant and the one in Nuremberg, Germany. So the Nuremberg built motorcycles were renamed TWN or Triumph Werke Nurnberg. World War I (1914-1918) proved a turning point for the company and its German founders as it produced more than 30,000 motorcycles to support the allied war effort against their old homeland. Among these motorcycles was the model H Roadster often reguarded by experts as the first "modern" motorcycle. The two Germans, Bettmann and Schulte had a falling out after the the war ended as Schulte wished to replace bicycles with car production. Moritz Schulte left the company over this and in an ironic twist Bettmann and Triumph would go in this very direction a few years later and purchase the old Hillman car factory where it would build its first car in 1923 under the marquee of the Triumph Motor Company. By the mid 1920's the German immigrant's company had grown into one of Britain's and Germany's leading motorcycle makers with the plant in Coventry now at 500,000 sq. ft. and producing 30,000 motorcycles and cars a year.

be forced out and retire completely in 1936. The car and motorcycle business would become two separate companies. The motorcycle business was acquired that year by Jack Sangster who also owned the rival Ariel motorcycle company and he would be Triumph's first true British owner. So there you have it! Two German immigrants were the actual founding fathers of Brtain's largest motorcycle, bicycle and car company. I think if I told your average biker on the street that early Triumphs were built both in England and Germany at the same time you would get a "no way" from most. It would seem that even some "Triumph collectors" are unaware of the German connection but then all our hobbies are filled with some misinformed morons. So things are not always what they seem my friends or what we are told. I was reading an article recently that truly appalled my patriotism for our great country, that two out of three don't know the lyrics or origins of our National Anthem or as its now known The Star Spangled Banner. I truly think this song is much more a part of true motorcyclysts than the oft used phrase we have adopted "Ride free or die" that seems to be on everything from air cleaner covers to hats. Also in an online "Americana" poll that asked "What can you name that's 100 percent all American?" They listed The Star Spangled Banner at 97 percent. But you, my true students of history, you know better, don't we? It's not 100 percent our creation

Triumph found a huge market for its motorcycles overseas and export sales soared. It was in 1928 that Triumph also made its first true mark in automotive history with the Super Seven Car. America's Great Depression in 1929 hit England very hard also and Triumph spun off its German bike operations which became part of the Triumph-Adler Company. The Nuremberg Company continued to make motorcycles as TWN (Triumph Werke Nurnberg) untill 1956 when Max Grundig took it over and merged it completely with his Adler motorcycle and typewriter business and then terminated motorcycle production under Triumph and TWN names. Triumph had already sold off its bicycle manufacturing plant to Raleigh in 1932. Triumph had been struggling financially and Triumphs original founder, a German immigrant who designed , built and manufactured some of Britains' finest motorcycles and cars for over 3 decades would

as you will see. On September 13th. 1814 a poem titled "Defense of Ft. M' Henry" was written from the deck of a British Warship anchored 8 miles away in the Patapsco River. On board was a 35 old American lawyer and poet by the name of Francis Scott Key who was sent to the British Fleet to secure the release of Dr. William Reaves, a civilian who had been captured after the burning of Washington D.C. Key secured his release but was detained on the English ship overnight

so as not to inform the Americans of the Brits plan to take Baltimore. You see after the American Revolution ended in victory at Yorktown in 1781, a second war with Great Britain broke out in 1812 over trade issues and expansion of American territories. To stop America from trading with Canada, the British set up a blockade of the American coast and port cities which kept both American merchant and warships bottled up in their home ports. The war would go well for the Americans until April of 1814 when England would finally defeat Napolean and turn its full attention and army towards the conflict in America . In June of 1813 Major George Armistead arrived to take command of Fort Mc Henry, built to guard what was then Americas 3rd. largest city. One of his first orders was to commission Mary Pickersgill a Baltimore flag maker to construct two flags for the Fort. A smaller storm flag (17x25 ft.) and a larger garrison one (30x42 ft.) She was hired by government contract and with two female helpers would sew the two flags in a local brewery. The largest of these two flags that would become the "Star Spangled Banner"was designed to be flown from the forts 90ft. flag pole. Armistead wanted it to be seen from great distances. The 15 stripes at 24 inches wide and the 15 stars at 2ft. in diameter would do the job. Pickersgill spent 8 weeks making the flags

and they were delivered to the fort on August 19th 1813. She was paid $405.90 for the garrison flag and $168.54 for the storm flag. With Washington D.C. in ruins, the British set

their sights on Baltimore and plotted a joint attack on the city by land and water. The land force was surprised by the strength of the American Forces and decided to wait until night fall on Sept. 13th. and attack in darkness. Meanwhile the British Naval Forces at 6:30 am Sept. 13th. 1814 began a 25 hour bombardment of Fort Mc Henry. Major Armistead and his 1,000 troops held the fort through the night with bombs bursting in air and they refused to surrender. At 7:30 on the morning of Sept. 14th. the British Fleet withdrew and the defense of Baltimore marked the turning point in the war of 1812 which could have ended our young country at its very beginnings. Because the British attack had coincided with a heavy rainstorm Fort Mc Henry had flown its smaller storm flag throughout the battle. But at Dawns early light, as the British retreated. Major Armistead ordered the great garrison flag to be raised where waving proudly over

the fort it could be seen for miles around, as far away as a ship anchored 8 miles out in the bay, where Francis Scott Key had spent an anxious night as a front row observer, watching and hoping for a sign that the city and the nation had been saved. The poem was set to the tune of a popular British drinking song written by John Stafford Smith "To Anacreon in Heaven" it would be Keys words and british music that would become The Star Spangled Banner. The song was recognized by the Navy for official use in 1889 and by the President in 1916. It was made the National Anthem by Congress and President Hoover signed it into law on March 3,1931.The original garrison flag is on display at the National Museum of American History. No one knows what became of the smaller storm flag.

rarely known fact is that he wished he had more time to ride his 1962 Harley Davidson Panhead Chopper, but music took precedence so there was little time to ride. So there you have it my cravers of knowledge .... Germans started Triumph, our national anthem is set to the music of a British drinking song and was written aboard one of the very ships attacking her shores and Jimi Hendrix played his decade defining song to a fairly empty hillside wishing he had more time to ride. Its fun to do a little myth busting here today, to right some misinformation that many belive but have failed to research properly. And to show that not all things are as they appear to be or are the truth because they appear to come from people who know.

I know the Star Spangled Banner and the War of I'd like to close out with another "Not as it 1812 is not seems" or as it really is retold myth and that the greatwas Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970) epic Woodstock est read performance of the Star Spangled banner. and kinda off topic of motorcycles but it's the true heart As Woodstock progressed from Aug. 15th. to of our great nation and a song that is revered Aug. 18th 1969, 32 acts would perform in front and played at events from baseball games and of 500,000 concert goers (only 50,000 were NASCAR races to state and official governmenexpected). From Arlington to Across America, since 1992, over 100,000 wreaths were placed on veterans graves. Wreaths Across America, was NOT able to accommodate grave specific requests for wreath placements this year. That's where participating locations, and hundreds of volunteers made arrangements to honor such requests. The holidays are supposed to be merry, and we wanted to not forget our hero's! At Florida National Cemetery, Hundreds of Veterans and their supporters laid 3,800 Christmas wreaths on the graves of service men and women who gave their lives for their country. It was a very emotional day, USMV MC, hosted our local ride over, as we met at several different locations with one destination, as we all headed to the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The wreaths were handmade in Maine, and bought with private donations. Hundreds of vehicles, including several members of motorcycle clubs from around the state, and a law enforcement escort mad made the ride. The Patriot Guard Riders volunteered as escort from Saddle Creek a little after 8 a.m., as a large group of us did from Bikers Bay, in Brandon. It was very cold, foggy, and the the visibility was very minimal, but that didn't stop us bikers, from paying tribute to those that served our country! We collectively thank our military and their families for “Our Freedom! God Bless America! The wreath laying is now held annually across the country on the second Saturday of December, be sure to join in next year, you won't want to miss this!! Until next time...

FT speaks to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. Our Tampa Toys for Tots Coordinator SSgt Michael Perez, with the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, did an amazing job!! Their goal was to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders. Many members of our local communities had a special common cause during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign. SSgt Michael Perez conducted an array of activities throughout the year, which include a huge Motorcycle run. The ride cost was a new, unwrapped toy and $10, that included the ride, BBQ chicken dinner and entertainment. A commemorative patch will be given to the 1st 400 riders. Hundreds of motorcyclists piled on their bikes for this awesome ride. About 1,000 toys were donated at the second annual motorcycle toy run. We rode from the Toys for Tots warehouse on Gandy Boulevard in Tampa to the AMVETS Post 44 in Brandon, escorted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. It was the first Police escorted ride in Hillsborough County - in 7 years!!!. With all the participants this year, the toy drive raised twice as much as it did in its inaugural run. About 11,000 children in Hillsborough County have registered for Toys for Tots this holiday, it is anticipated that they'll each receive four to six new toys this year! Thank everyone for your support, and Hope to see you next year!! God Bless the Marines, HCSO, AMVETS Post 44 and everyone that was involved in this great cause!

A new year is upon us. I hope everyone has a better one than last year if you had one that was not that good. I talked to lots of people some had it really bad but let’s hope it gets better! When you get old and don’t get as much as you used to you sit around a lot and think. I was thinking about the time when I was about 14 and ran away from home, I did that several times, I had a Cushman Scooter and a couple of my friends had scoots. We chipped in and rented an apartment. I think it was $5.00 a week. The second night I came home to take a shower as I started to get in pulling the curtain aside there was a motorcycle standing on its rear wheel. It scared me as I thought it was stolen, sure enough it was. I got the hell out of there. Good thing as they were picked up a few weeks later and went to reform school. One boy got out and did ok in life. The other one got

killed in a bike wreck years later. I have lots of memories good and bad. I guess that is what happens to us old people! The Antique Motorcycle Club of America will hold its annual swap meet the end of February and the first of March. You can look it up on the computer if you know how. I am just now learning how to do things on them. The reason I have not done it before is my bro got one years ago when I went to visit I had to sit in the computer room and the only other thing he would do was go out and eat. He would not visit friends, but would email could not visit. He gained 100 pounds. I could not see me doing that, but I still like to go out and eat. And visit with my friends and meet new ones. Georgia Boy and I look forward to meeting new ones and visiting old ones at Webster every month. See you soon Sue

The 2010 Jim Rosenkrans Memorial Toy Run We had another amazingly successful Toy Run thanks to everyone who participated: the riders who donated; our sponsors; the schools for volunteering; the police agencies; the Fire Departments; the municipalities; the Department of Transportation; the city of St. Petersburg; and the Mayor's Office. You have no idea how much of a positive impact you made on underprivelaged children in your community. Although we didn't set an attendance record, we were able to raise more money than ever! The results you've been waiting for are as follows: 2,014 Riders | 1,359 Bikes | $24,370 Raised (From Jim's H-D)

The weather was cold and misty but that didn’t stop over 600 motorcycles from making their way to the K-Mart parking lot on the corner of US Highway 19 and Main Street for the 30th Annual “Toys For Tots / Bikes For Tykes” Run. This is always one of the best toy runs of the year here in the Tampa Bay area and despite the weather, the turnout was good and everybody had a great time. The police escorted ride weaves through Dunedin and ends at the American Legion Post 275 on San Christopher Drive. Once again, Full Throttle was proud to lead the run and it is the 15th year in a row that we have participated in this fantastic event! After the run people eat, drink, visit vendors, participate in raffles and listen to live music. The Suncoast Brotherhood does a great job and they should be commended! Here are a few photos from the run and to see more pictures, please check out www.FloridaFullThrottle.com. by Paul Allen

There I was sitting at the bar staring at my drink when a large, trouble maker bully biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink and gulps it down in one swig. “Well, whatcha gonna do about it?” he says, menacingly, as I burst into tears.”Come on, man,” the biker says, “I didn’t think you’d CRY. I can’t stand to see a man crying.” “This is the worst day of my life,” I say. “I’m a complete failure. I was late to a meeting and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car had been stolen and I don’t have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took home. I found my wife in bed with the gardener and then my dog bit me.” “So I came to this bar to work up the courage to put an end to it all......I buy a drink, I drop a capsule in it, and sit here watching the arsenic dissolve while stirring it to get my courage up to down it in one gulp. Then some jack-ass shows up and drinks the whole thing! But enough about me, how’s your day going?”

A highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting!

“I can handle that without a problem.” she replied as she picked up a six-pack and headed for the checkout.

A Jewish Rabbi and a Catholic Priest met at the town’s annual 4th of July picnic. Old friends, they began their usual banter.

Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled, ‘PULL OVER!’

“This baked ham is really delicious,” the priest teased the rabbi. “You really ought to try it. I know it’s against your religion, but I can’t understand why such a wonderful food should be forbidden! You don’t know what you’re missing. You just haven’t lived until you’ve tried Mrs. Hall’s prized Virginia Baked Ham. Tell me, Rabbi, when are you going to break down and try it?”

‘NO!’ the blonde yelled back, ‘IT’S A SCARF!’

The rabbi looked at the priest with a big grin, and said, “At your wedding.”

************************************************* Jacob, age 92, and Rebecca, age 89, living in Miami , are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding, and on the way they pass a drugstore.. Jacob suggests they go in. He talks to the man behind the counter: “Are you the owner?” The pharmacist answers, “Yes.” Jacob says, “We’re about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?” Pharmacist: “Of course, we do.” Jacob: “How about medicine for circulation?” Pharmacist: “All kinds.” Jacob: “Medicine for rheumatism?” Pharmacist: “Definitely.” Jacob: “How about suppositories?” Pharmacist: “You bet!” Jacob: “Medicine for memory problems, arthritis and Alzheimer’s?”Pharmacist: “Yes, a large variety. The works.” Jacob: “What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antidotes for Parkinson’s disease?” Pharmacist: “Absolutely.” Jacob: “Everything for heartburn and indigestion?” Pharmacist: “We sure do.” Jacob: “You sell wheelchairs and walkers and canes?” Pharmacist: “All speeds and sizes.” Jacob: “Adult diapers?” Pharmacist: “Sure.” Jacob: “Well the we’d like to use this store as our Bridal Registry.”

DON’S OL’ GLORY!

#1 DANGEROUS CITY! In a study done by CQ Press, the city of St.Louis, Missouri was rated as the most dangerous city in America. St.Louis had 2,070.1 violent crimes per 100,000 residents in 2009. The national average is only 429.4! Camden, New Jersey (who won this dubious title in 2003 and 2004) finished in second place followed by 3) Detroit, Michigan (another past winner), 4) Flint, Michigan and 5) Oakland, California. The safest city ranked was Colonie, New York. The annual rankings are based on population figures and crime data complied by the FBI.

A CHRISTMAS WINNER A Pennsylvania Tobacco Shop store owner sold himself a winning $1.8-million lottery ticket last month! Not only does the lucky guy get the money from the lottery winnings, he also gets to keep the $10,000 seller’s bonus money. Now that makes for a great Christmas!

NOT SO SWEET... In a court battle that isn’t so sweet .... the Hershey Company sued Mars, Inc. in federal court claiming trademark dilution and infringement as well as unfair competition because Mars’ packaging of its Dove peanut butter candies looks too much like Hershey’s Reese’s wrapping. Hershey is the nation’s largest maker of chocolate candies while Mars is second.

Federal regulators have approved a Los Angeles business man’s request to print the Pledge of Allegiance on a beer can. The label was initially denied by the Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. Don Session’s fought the ban saying that there’s nothing more clearly protected by the First Amendment than the pledge and he shouldn’t be stopped from using something that stands for all Americans. Look for Ol’ Glory Beer on the shelves soon!

REPOSSESSED BREASTS? A 20-year old German woman is afraid that the court system will order her to have her breast implants repossessed. They were paid for by a boyfriend who had a written agreement with her that stating that they would stay together for a minimum of one year. Needless-to-say, they broke up shortly after the new boobs were installed. This should be an interesting case to say the least!

EVERYBODY GOOFS! Even the government goofs and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing goofed up good! They have to check 1.1-billion new $100 bills because of production problems that left an unwanted crease in the bills. They are debating on how many of the bills need to be destroyed and how many can be put into circulation that is scheduled for February 10, 2011.

UNANIMOUS PARDON HOW’D THEY GET HERE? Have you ever wondered how all those Mexican drugs (and people) get into he USA? Well, last month federal agents uncovered a sophisticated underground tunnel system that originated from a kitchen in a Tijuana home and ended in two warehouses in San Diego. The tunnel system was 2,200 feet long (more than seven football fields) and had a rail system, ventilation and fluorescent lighting. Authorities seized more than twenty tons of marijuana and made numerous arrests.

Last month the Florida Clemency Board voted unanimously to grant a posthumous pardon to rock and roll icon Jim Morrison of the Doors. Morrison was convicted of open profanity and exposing himself during a 1969 Miami concert. After Governor Charlie Crist looked things over, he said it was very possible that the jury felt swayed by the era’s raging culture war over being right. There were hundreds of cameras at the concert but not one photo proving the exposure. Nice job Charlie!

Tragically, on September 10, 2010, 24 year old Christine Fancher ‘s dreams were ripped from her and every individual that knew her. While out enjoying a ride on her motorcycle with her fiancé, she was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Cold-heartedly, she remained at the scene with life threatening injuries as the driver fled. Subsequently, the hospital team struggled to save her, but there was just too much damage. All of those who were touched by this beautiful woman, are now left with a vacant hole in our heavy hearts. She was, undoubtedly, an admirable person. Her grief-stricken fiancé, family, and friends have joined together to ensure that her dreams of helping others come true. Power four Paws was formed to build relationships between businesses and the community in honor of our dear Christine. Our first annual event was held on December 4, 2010 at Destination Daytona; hosted by Saints and Sinners. This event joined the hands of the local Arni Foundation, Angels Have Whiskers, Toys for Tots, and Florida Blood Centers. Several businesses in the area, willingly jumped on board to support our cause for awareness. The day started with a Poker Run visiting the area Humane Societies followed by a busy agenda at Daytona Destination. Participants completed the afternoon contributing in a Blood Drive, Toy Drive, Pet Adoption, and Car/Truck/Bike show. It was pleasing to see the community support and have them join in these causes. Additionally, we had several pets adopted, many donations of pet supplies collected, and twenty units of blood donated. With the holidays just around the corner, a collection of toys were also donated. The folks who entered in the Car/Truck/Bike show had a chance to win unique trophies creatively designed by Shiney Fastmetal out of various engine and transmission parts then pinstriped by Mikey. The day was bittersweet knowing that we are on our way

to making her dreams come true; however emotions were unforgiveable as we longed for her presence with us. We will continue to work closely with the community and businesses to pursue the goals Christine Fancher wanted to accomplish. Our next task is to develop a partnership with businesses that will be able to provide low cost spaying and neutering for families’ pets. Please be honored and join us on January 5, 2011 for our first monthly event at Chili’s in Ormond Beach to raise money for spaying and neutering. Chili’s will be hosting a giveback night on the first Wednesday of every month. There are more events planned involving the community to show support for our girl’s lovely life. Stay tuned for the 2nd Annual
