conceptual development Idea is coming from the site condition which is facing three streets and have many vehicles pass by that showing vitality of the site. Hence, i development three faces into three wings of building, like a windmill, which represent the site vitality by showed the movement of building (wingmill).

conceptual development

From the site visit of Bridges Street Market, there are some interesting elements i want to maintain, which are Plane, Stair, Subtraction of the original building. One of the interesting components is the subtraction in the facade. i make use of this concept and more wide use of this pattern in new building. In the begining, i separate the plane into different postion and level. However, there is not logical and then i link the planes together becoming a continuous plane. After developing the draft concept of continuous, i link the idea of continuous plane and stair together, to make the form of continuous plane like a stair. Separate the form into lattice pattern according to the column of original building. Then, Arrange lattice into two different shape to ensure that it including both 1st & 2nd floor. And Remove spare lattice to create basic form of new building.

facade designs

Based on the concept of continunous plane and stairs, i keep going to develop this concept into the evenlope design. To enhance the diversity of the building, some part of envelope part transfer to the glass chairs. This design also improve the spare space for public. Project V
