-Can opener -Colander -3 medium mixing bowls -9-by-13-inch baking pan -Stirring spoon -Oven mitts

INGREDIENTS:

2(15-ounce) cans sliced peaches in syrup 1 stick butter 1 cup self-rising flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk

DIRECTIONS: Preheat the oven to 350F. Reserving the syrup, strain one can of peaches in the colander set over a medium bowl and put the peaches in a separate medium bowl. Then drain the second can of peaches. Put the butter in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Transfer to the oven and heat for 10 minutes until melted. Remove from oven. In another medium mixing bowl mix together the flour and sugar. Mix in the milk and reserved syrup from the peaches. Stir until smooth. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking pan arrange the peaches over the batter in rows. Return the baking pan to the oven, and bake for one hour or until the batter rises around the peaches and the crust is thick and golden brown. Remove from oven.
