FOREWORD

MISKYAH TOTH

During the weeks leading up to the Future of HR Conference, we felt tremendous excitement to explore the theme “HR in the digital transformation age.”

As a leader in staff outsourcing in the supply chain and logistics arena, BDCS firmly believes in effectively incorporating technology and AI into our standard operating procedures. We keenly utilize technology to leverage our service levels to our clients and to ensure compliance with all labor-related issues.

The world of work is changing at an unprecedented pace. As leaders, we are tasked with the challenge of embracing innovation while keeping the human element at the heart of our strategies. This conference will bring together thought leaders, innovators, and professionals who share a commitment to redefining HR through the lens of artificial intelligence, datadriven decision-making, and, above all, empathy.

Human resource departments have had to adapt quickly in the past decade to the pressure that new technology consistently applies to well-known historical systems. We have grown accustomed to updating software regularly to stay updated and in touch. The question we ask, however, is, “How does this impact our employees?” It is fair to derive a conclusion that updates, changes, and more efficient technology may be causing fear in individuals who are not used to this.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Human Resource practices had to adapt to the limitations implemented to stop the virus from spreading. Not only employers and companies but also employees suffered from these limitations.

It was revolutionary in every sense of the word. The traditional methods of meetings and communications took a hard knock, and technology became the foundation of effective communication. A couple of years later, this has become the norm for many, and things like the gig economy are growing fast. BDCS has shown unprecedented growth in the past years, and our unwavering support for our clients and commitment to our employees have promised great value to all. We lead by example, and our infrastructure relies on technology.

As a preferred supplier to leading companies, we understand the value of data analytics, reporting, and technology as the backbone of our operation. People are our game, and the secret of combining HR and AI to enhance and strengthen our service delivery has led to many victories in the Logistics and Supply Chain arena. We firmly believe that the correct use of technology and AI narrows the distance between fast-moving business practices and human capability.

Our goal is to inspire, challenge, and equip you with the insights and tools needed to lead in this dynamic environment. I look forward to the discussions that will unfold and the new ideas that will emerge, as we work together to build a future where technology and humanity coexist harmoniously in the workplace.

We provide seamless service in 50 different locations in South Africa. Our core focus is on fulfillment because we know that having enough staff on time every day is vital for our valuable clients to fulfill their orders. AI plays a pivotal role in meeting the needs of all stakeholders. n
