The Cagayan based team performed strongly against ICBC following an advantage they held for their third game as the Iligan City players were unable to capture the win.

Meralco slowly widened the gap against Magnolia in the later parts of the game with an 83-72.
Late in the fourth quarter, Meralco center, Raymond Almazan and hotshot coach Chito Victolero struggled with technical fouls due to taunting. Magnolia closed the fourth quarter with 27 points and Meralco with 15 points, 88-79 lead.
