THE FIRST EUROPEAN COVID FREE FAIR, THESSALONIKI The 1st Covid-Free fair in Europe will be the 85th TIF (Thessaloniki International Fair), which will take place from 11-19 September at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre. Greece is to open its exhibition sector from 1st September, making the 85th TIF the first exhibition event to be organised by Greece, which will send a message of respect for public health and safety. The organisers had prepared a detailed hygiene protocol and it is well prepared to respond to Covid Free fairs.

SOUTH KOREA TO HOST YEOSU WORLD ISLAND EXHIBITION IN 2026 Korea is set to launch a new international event – the Yeosu World Island Exhibition, to be held in 2026. Located in Korea's island-filled south coast, the city of Yeosu is a scenic coastal retreat which served as the host city for the 2012 World Expo. Since the expo, the city has been a popular incentive tourism destination, attracting large-scale incentive travel groups from global companies and organisations. The city is also close to Suncheon, home to the new UNESCO World Heritage, 'Getbol, Korean Tidal Flats'. The ‘2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition’ will be held in Yeosu’s Dolsan Jinmo District from 17 July - 16 August 2026, with the theme ‘Connecting the Island, Sea and the Future’. The exhibition will feature 8 permanent exhibition halls showcasing the future, culture and ecology of the island as well as special tours including the Yeondo Bridge Tour and Healing Island Tour. The city of Yeosu anticipates over 2 million visitors from 30 countries to attend the event. Kwon O-bong, Mayor of Yeosu City, stated, “The Yeosu World Island Exhibition is the world’s first festival for countries with islands to gather and share the history and culture of islands. We will use this opportunity to develop Yeosu into a world-class marine tourism resort city.”
