On 10th June Russia formally left the World Tourism Organization, UNWTO. The Assembly were going to suspend its membership, not cancel it, but Russia pulled out before that decision was made official. The voluntary withdrawal from the UNWTO by Russia will materialise one year after they have presented the official communication.

The council met at the request of member countries such as Colombia, Slovenia, Guatemala, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, following the unilateral actions undertaken by Russia on Ukrainian territory.

At the start of any project, there is a wish list of everything you would like the end result to be.
Almost always, somewhere along the process, compromises have to be made in one area or another.

But what is that original wish list all came true?
This would appear to be true with Bombardier’s new Global 8000 global jet. It ticks all the boxes and then gives you lots of perfect extras too!
Having recently taken its 1st test flight and landed with flying colours, it’s all systems go for the future of business jet aviation to unlock new possibilities in flight from the design, engine, interior and more.
Here we look at this incredible plane in a bit more detail. The Global 8000 business jet is the fastest civil aircraft since Concorde. Its top speed is Mach 0.94, making it the 1st business jet to break the sound barrier!
The Global 8000 is like two aircraft in one; the fastest speed and longest range while giving a spacious cabin over 4 equal size living spaces.
With the capability of an 8,000 nautical mile range, the Global 8000 business jet is capable of reaching many more cities in one flight than any other airline of its category. This includes long range routes, such as Dubai to Houston, Singapore to Los Angeles and London to Perth, among others.
Designed with a revolutionary ‘Smooth Flĕx Wing’ and innovative GE Passport engines, the plane is able to operate on short runways and in all weather conditions. The wing also delivers a very smooth ride as it is engineered as two wings in one: a highlift wing for exceptional low speed agility and a high-speed wing for unrivalled speed and range.
Inside, the unique cabin design offers maximum passenger comfort, health and productivity, allowing you to arrive at your destination feeling relaxed and refreshed.

The Global 8000 jet features the industry’s lowest cabin altitude making long distance flights in particular more comfortable. The cabin altitude is that of 2,900 feet, even when racing through the sky at 41,000ft!
Bombardier Pũr Air features a hospital grade HEPA filter as well as an activated carbon filter that removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odours and gases.
The seating is also new, unique and revolutionary in that the ‘Nuage’ seat is the first new style of seat architecture in 3 decades and offers a zero-gravity seating position giving maximum comfort and ultimate wellbeing.
The Soleil lighting system is also an aviation 1st offering circadian rhythm-based cabin lighting combined with a revolutionary Dynamic Daylight Simulation that helps combat jet lag.
The Global 8000 business jet offers state of the art innovative cabin technologies.
nice Touch CMS: Designed exclusively for the Global 8000 aircraft, the unique OLED touch dial control allows you to adjust a range of cabin settings.
