ESCAPE TO

T HE COAST HAPPINESS COMES IN SALTY WATER Wherever you are in Geelong and The Bellarine, you’re never far from saltwater and a seabreeze. That’s the beauty of being a peninsula - there’s ocean beaches, surf, dunes and open water on one side. On the other, sheltered bay beaches are perfect for paddling, boats and water sports. It’s a beautiful coastline with water and urban views, endless sandy beaches and some amazing experiences - above, below and beside the water. GEELONG WATERFRONT The Geelong Waterfront is the city’s favourite spot to play. Locals tend to gravitate there whenever the sun comes out, at weekends, during holidays and when it lights up during spectacular events and festivals.

20

VISITGEELONGBELLARINE.COM.AU

2 Barwon Heads

There’s loads of places to eat, drink and soak up the sea air while watching the water sparkle. Playgrounds and a skate park have some of the best views in the region – pushing kids on a swing while breathing in sea air – you’ll enjoy it as much as they do. Attractive and versatile, the Waterfront is a Geelong centrepiece that also shows off historic attractions such as the Armitage-Herschell portable steam driven, hand-carved wooden Carousel, constructed in 1892, the bollard trail and the Eastern Beach bathing pavilion and swimming promenade.

TO THE NORTH

TO THE SOUTH

The Northern side of The Bellarine is bound by Port Phillip Bay. There are lots of boat ramps to launch a fishing trip, go waterskiing or jetskiing. The beaches are gentle and perfect for a paddle in between epic sandcastle construction and ice cream demolition.

Bellarine south side faces Bass Strait and is home to some of Victoria’s favourite and safest surf beaches. Ocean Grove has a wide sandy stretch and, with consistent manageable waves, is a great place to learn to surf or bring a boogie board. Nearby Point Lonsdale and Thirteenth Beach are popular with more experienced surfers or indulge in the rock pools and riverside beaches.

QUEENSCLIFF In Queenscliff, the harbour is the starting point for loads of Port Phillip Bay adventures. Boat tours, fishing in the bay or out in Bass Strait, swimming with wildlife, eco-tours – all launch from Queenscliff Harbour. At the nearby ferry terminal, take a quick round trip with high tea or a local tasting platter. For a saltwater rush with slightly less adrenaline, try a restaurant, a spot of business or shopping with a view of the water.

All these beaches are just as spectacular to walk along with a friend (two or four legs), especially at dawn or dusk when the sky is often lit with pastel colours. Beautiful.

LET’S GO OUTSIDE Playgrounds, grassy hills, beaches and skate parks – there’s plenty of wide open spaces in gorgeous locations where kids can learn to ride, hone their skills or just burn off some of that endless energy.

Barwon Heads River Beach. The park seamlessly merges with the sandy river beach, a great spot to splash after working out on the play equipment and not too far to wander to find sustenance – from sit down meals to fish and chips.

The best FAMILY TIME is when everyone’s having fun.

The You Yangs. Take a hike, a picnic or BBQ at the You Yangs Regional Park, Geelong’s Northern mountain range. The views from Flinders Peak extend for miles in every direction and there’s loads of wildlife. Nearby Serendip Sanctuary is also fantastic for native animal spotting.

FAMILY FAVOURITES Western Beach, Geelong. A waterfront playground alongside the best located skate park we’ve ever seen! Younger siblings and older kids can all agree on this one. Queenscliff Foreshore. Big enough lawns to kick the footy or strike up a cricket match, a great playground, and nearby Harry’s Kiosk has great food, coffee, places to sit outside and an awesome selection of retro lawn games (totem tennis, anyone?). Barwon River. Springing from the Otways and running through Geelong, it’s long been a local favourite. There are playgrounds aplenty as the river winds through suburban Geelong, the best one is at Barwon Valley in Belmont. Heaps of cool things to play on, plus BBQs, picnic benches, and gorgeous walking / riding / scooting tracks in both directions. Fun!

1. Adventure Park 2. Supatramp 3. The You Yangs

A BIG DAY OUT Make a really big family day out one to remember and head to one of these family activities: Adventure Park. Mammoth theme park at Wallington in the middle of The Bellarine – it’s pretty much 20 minutes from wherever you’re staying. Brings out the competitive spirit in every family from mini-golf to archery to the Aqua Racer waterslide. Bring bathers, arrive early to nab a good spot (or book a cabana) and have the best day ever! They’ve just installed a new mega Tornado waterslide for the thrill seeker at heart. Fairy Park. A castle on top of a rock on top of a hill with animated fairy tales and a medieval adventure playground. Awesome. Bellarine Adventure Golf. Two big, clever mini-golf courses will bring out your inner Happy Gilmore and decide on family bragging rights for the rest of the trip!

2

THE IN CROWD Sometimes it’s raining, or there’s just something better inside. Here are some of our top picks with the kids (roof included): Supatramp. So. Much. Bouncy. Fun! Warm up on the trampolines before slamming in the dunk arena, playing dodgeball, catching air from the high platforms or taking on one of more than 30 wall climbing challenges. Phew! The Rock. Some incredible indoor rock climbing with walls up to 12 metres high. It’s amazing to watch their confidence grow as they reach new heights. Geelong Library and Heritage Centre has a whole floor dedicated to kids! We love slouching in bean bags reading giant books with little ones while the older crew heads straight to the wall of big screen video games.

24

VISITGEELONGBELLARINE.COM.AU

3

The Carousel is smack bang in the middle of the Geelong Waterfront – have a spin on the horses and grab an ice cream – probably best in that order too. LEARNING DISGUISED AS FUN The Geelong Library and Heritage Centre, architecturally awarded, has made libraries cool again. A boy was overheard declaring, “This is better than Timezone!” – praise doesn’t come much higher from an eight year old. Whether it’s for the books, the magazines, the computer games or the quiet, it’s guaranteed to be fun/learning. Nearby, the Geelong Gallery runs dedicated children’s programs (including Eye Spy adventures – what might you spy in the collection?!).

Just around the corner, the National Wool Museum has a fun permanent collection and an engaging schedule of special exhibitions. Queenscliff has a long and interesting history as a fashionable seaside town, fishing village and military base. All this history can be brought to life around town. Tours of Fort Queenscliff include dressing up in military costume while you learn about the region’s involvement in the wars. The Queenscliffe Maritime Museum explores the history of the town and the sea it’s surrounded by and a walking tour will enlighten you to the background of the historic, grand buildings and times gone by.

ADRENALINE RUSH OR A RUSH TO DISCOVER SOMETHING NEW

However adventure is defined in your mind, you’ll find something to take your breath away in Geelong and The Bellarine. The fast paced adrenaline junkies can skydive, take an aerobatic flight in an old warplane, abseil and rock climb or surf the big breaks. Adventurers who prefer their fun a little less risky can meet marine life on a boat tour, swim with seals and dolphins, take on a mountain bike course, a helicopter ride over the city or a scenic flight over coastlines, lighthouses and piers.

1

Barwon Heads Airport is home to Skydive Australia. They’ll drop you off at the beach… from 14,000 feet. Also based at Barwon Heads Airport, Adventure Flight Co can take you on an aerobatic tour above The Bellarine or on a scenic trip in an age-old biplane. Great Ocean Air have luxurious planes taking panoramic flights over the coastline.

Life is either a DARING ADVENTURE or nothing at all.

1. WSUP - stand up paddle boarding 2. Skydiving over the region 3. Sea All Dolphin Swims 4. Surfing, Ocean Grove 5. Mountain biking in the You Yangs 6. Adventure Flight Co

In Queenscliff, the rush-of-blood starts at Queenscliff Harbour with several fishing charters, sea-borne eco-tours, and swimming with dolphins and seal tours depart from here. Surf schools will teach young and youngat-heart how to catch a break at many of the surf beaches along the southern side of The Bellarine. For an on-water challenge on a calmer sea, stand up paddle board companies will teach the fine art of gliding on the sea at Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads. For a land-based adrenaline rush, head to the You Yangs Regional Park and Werribee Gorge – there’s abseiling on huge granite faces, rock climbing, heaps of hiking tracks for all ages (and fitness levels!) plus some of Victoria’s favourite mountain bike tracks.

Urban Geelong

There’s more to Geelong than a pretty waterfront and an awesome footy team. We’ll help you find some of the COOLEST STRIPS, burbs and less obvious spots.

1. Central Geelong 35

LOCAL GEMS Geelong Library and Heritage Centre

MORE THAN JUST BOOKS: The Geelong Library and Heritage Centre houses a future-ready sphere of reading, learning and fun that will change the way you think about libraries. EXHIBITIONS AND ART: As well as their permanent exhibitions, galleries and museums have a schedule of special displays all year. THEATRE, MUSIC AND DRAMA: Geelong Performing Arts Centre has a full schedule of performances while undergoing a $35 million upgrade. Concerts and festivals from The Blues Train to Shakespeare will entertain across the region. SHOP ON PAKO: Pakington Street is a precinct with boutique and specialty shops, excellent cafés and a stylish atmosphere.

SOMETIMES THE BEST PLACES AREN’T OBVIOUS In Geelong, the Little Malop Street precinct is culture central with an edge. The Geelong Library and Heritage Centre is the most striking piece of architecture in town: it’s somewhere between a futuristic domed mirror maze and the Darth Vader’s actual Death Star. It’s just as impressive inside, where tech meets tradition in a library that has evolved beyond books. Next door, the Geelong Gallery has an impressive collection and a grand schedule of temporary exhibitions, including the renowned Archibald Prize in 2018. While across the road the Geelong Performing Arts Centre showcases a year round diary of world-class theatre, music and drama for the region.

36

VISITGEELONGBELLARINE.COM.AU

Just a little way down the street and broken up with street art installations, Little Malop Street shifts focus from eyes and ears to bellies, with a bunch of great places to eat and drink within a few hundred metres. There’s casual southern style grub, international flavours up and down the street such as Japanese, Malaysian, Italian, wicked donuts and a whole café dedicated to cake. Nearby, Geelong Cellar Door has brought the best of the region’s vineyards to town, showcasing legends alongside local upand-comers in their wine bar. This cool, relaxed venue only serves up the best of Geelong and Bellarine regional wines, beers and ciders.

Just a couple of blocks from the CBD, Pakington Street runs from Geelong West through Newtown to the Barwon River. Known to locals as Pako, it’s traditional street boutique shopping mixed with heaps of places to eat and drink (indoors or out). The River End has emerged as a creative industry hub, including some clever crafty shops and the incredible Boom Gallery. The Geelong West end not only includes sought after shopping but exceptional dining at Tulip, Zigfrids and King of the Castle.

There’s nothing better than meandering sparse country roads and small village high streets and stumbling across that magical gem. Drive country roads past canola fields and vast paddocks and you’ll find converted petrol stations turned flavoursome, homely cafés, ever friendly goats producing exquisite cheese, whiskeries producing the region’s finest, a train playing Blues and a train serving local food, prolific provedores and farm fresh foods.

Geelong is enjoying a delicious renaissance as a place to eat. Some wonderful and unique restaurants have been brought to life in the city by young and energetic chefs. The pinnacle is Igni by local food legend Aaron Turner. His amazing combinations have been winning the hearts and mouths of the food crowd from across Victoria, Australia and the world since Igni opened in 2016. Five or eight courses, with or without paired wine. An incredible dining experience where the open grill and first-class service is brought to life. Igni was named Regional Restaurant of the Year by Gourmet Traveller for the second year in a row and is rated two hats in The Age Good Food Guide. Elsewhere in Geelong, deliciousness is served at places near the water taking advantage of glorious bay views. Other excellent options are the inner-city laneways or along Pakington Street. Out of the city, eating out has a totally different feel – earthier and fresh, often featuring ingredients grown on site or nearby. Some of the best places to eat around The Bellarine also produce some of our finest wine and offer some of our best views. It’s an intoxicating combination in more ways than one and you’ll find it at Jack Rabbit Vineyard, neighbouring Terindah Estate and Basils Farm.

Other nearby wineries serve their food with a side of art, culture and museum in a multi-sensory feast – Oakdene Vineyards, McGlashan Estate and Banks Road Vineyard.

LEARNING DISGUISED AS FUN 1

Grown ups should check out Salt Contemporary Gallery in Queenscliff – get your hands on a cocktail upstairs from the artist behind the bar in the Salt Lounge. Learning doesn’t have to be scholarly. There are exciting lessons that might strike up a new hobby or skill set – surfing, paddleboarding, horse riding, rock climbing, abseiling or fishing. We have some of the best golf courses in Australia – a lesson from a pro to work on your game? Insight from experts is a great way to learn as well. Instead of driving or finding your own way, take a guided tour of the region with More Than a Tour or RedGum Roadtrips for unique insights. Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre celebrates local indigenous customs, art, food and culture. Throw a boomerang or taste the indigenous inspired café menu.

DISCOVER MORE THAN A CLASSROOM History is revisited in many ways, with attractions exploring significant aspects of the region’s story – the National Wool Museum, Maritime Museums in Geelong and Queenscliff, the Old Geelong Gaol and military history at Fort Queenscliff. Each tells an important part of the history of Geelong and The Bellarine in their own unique and engaging ways – from ghost tours to dress-ups. Galleries from central Geelong to the suburbs and Queenscliff are showcasing some of Australia’s brightest and most talented artists. Take the time to check out exhibitions, ask questions of guides and you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of what’s on show. Boom Gallery in Newtown and Queenscliff Gallery and Workshop also offer hands-on activities in on-site learning centres.

A LITTLE WAY OUT

There’s the vintage car collection at McGlashan Estate, the sculpture collection at Banks Road Vineyard or the historical significance of the bricks and mortar of One Day Estate. Oakdene is a whimsical art journey within a vineyard (cue the upsidedown house cellar door!) and Segway Geelong will take you on a tour through the vines and gardens at Leura Park Estate (and finish with lunch and a glass of wine).

Heading out of Geelong, Flying Brick Cider House takes taste in a new direction with a range of ciders (original, draught and pear) brewed on site plus special batches with experimental flavours – we’ve tried loads, pomegranate has been our fave so far! The cider is beautifully showcased alongside a fresh, local menu tailored for sharability, best enjoyed on the sprawling lawns. Or visit on Friday night for cider with a side of live roots music.

Vineyards and wineries play host to events too. The Toast to the Coast festival celebrates wine, food and entertainment across the whole wine region every Melbourne Cup weekend. In winter, the Winter Shiraz Weekend sees cellar doors flung open and bold reds poured to warm the soul.

The Geelong Wine Region, comprising of the Moorabool Valley, The Bellarine and the Surf Coast, is producing multi awardwinning Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Sparkling. Almost 40 of the vineyards open their cellar doors for guided tastings to meet the people behind the bottles and barrels. The best local drops feature on wine lists across the region too – low food and wine miles equals high quality and deliciousness.

Port Phillip Ferries offer connections from Melbourne Docklands straight to wine and food experiences on The Bellarine. Throughout the year, performances and special events are hosted at various wineries. A Day on the Green sees international artists on stage at Mt Duneed Estate. Robbie Williams will rock the vines in 2018. There’s Shakespeare in the Vines at Leura Park Estate, Fireside Jazz at Jack Rabbit – keep an eye on our events calendar for the latest: visitgeelongbellarine.com.au

Wineries on the north side of The Bellarine often take advantage of spectacular water views across rolling hills full of vines. Nothing makes your lunch and glass of vino taste better than sitting exactly where it came from and admiring the view. Geelong region wineries repertoires expand well beyond what can be barrelled, eaten or poured.

BELLARINE TASTE TRAIL The Bellarine Taste Trail brings around 50 unique food and drink experiences across the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. There are farmgate producers growing and making the produce that’s served at the best eateries near and far – from mussels and cheese, fruit and vegetables, to olive oil. It’s fresh and local, and absolutely delicious. Vineyards take advantage of their cool climate geography to produce awardwinning wine in stunning locations – taste some with the maker while soaking in water views and fresh air. Grapes aren’t the only fruit we’re improving into drink. Flying Brick Cider House turns apples, pears and occasionally other special ingredients into their awardwinning range of cider. Enjoy a tasting paddle and some food on the lawn.

BELLARINE It’s a peninsula surrounded by water with the Barwon River winding through it and fertile soils in every direction. THE BELLARINE is breathtaking to look at and beautifully invigorating to visit. Barwon Heads 3

SOAK IT UP AND DRINK IT IN However you enjoy the water – in it, on it, under it or alongside it – you’ll find your own saltwater therapy. Swimming, paddling, boardsports, fishing, boating, diving or a good old fashioned walk on the beach are what holidays on The Bellarine are made of. Families have been making their way to The Bellarine for generations and not just for surf and sandcastles. There are theme parks, mini-golf, horse riding lessons and some of the best family holiday parks in Australia. Family Fun with two capital Fs. Inland, hills are lined with the vines of multi-award-winning wineries and olive groves produce liquid gold.

1. Views across Port Phillip Bay 2. Earl of Charlemont memorial, Barwon Heads 3. Bellarine Railway, Drysdale 78

VISITGEELONGBELLARINE.COM.AU

There are farmgates offering just-picked freshness and berry farms where you can pick your own. Cheese and bakeries and provedores – you can collect a picnic then enjoy it by the water. The Bellarine has the whole in one when it comes to golf. There are five clubs in Australia’s top 100 public access courses – Curlewis with stunning views across the bay and some cool extras like GolfBoards to surf the fairways, Barwon Heads with manicured fairways and traditional clubhouse, Portarlington has a tranquil setting and fast greens, and there are 36 challenging holes to play at 13th Beach. Nearby, there are picturesque local courses with individual flair – island hop to play at Queenscliff Golf Club or hit the fairways at Point Lonsdale. There’s a long drive or birdie putt waiting for every golfer on The Bellarine. Fore!

PORT ARLINGTON TO ST LEONARDS With uninterrupted bay views across to the You Yangs and, on a clear day Melbourne, Portarlington is a beautiful bayside town with amazing flavours being grown nearby. Most famous for Australian Blue Mussels, there are also heritage attractions and loads of good options to eat and drink in town and nearby.

The town throws an epic party on the long weekend in June when the National Celtic Festival hits town. Music, dancing and a fun festival atmosphere – it’s a real craic!

The local mussel fleet is moored at the Portarlington Pier and you can often find the crew hauling in the days harvest. The second Saturday in January sees tens of thousands flock to the town to celebrate all things mussels at the Portarlington Mussel Festival.

The coastal drive from Portarlington to Indented Head and St Leonards hugs the shore and shows off some of the brightest blue water and spectacular sites – the best views of Melbourne are from a distance. St Leonards is a small town with enough good shops to feel civilised yet small enough to feel you’ve escaped entirely. 1

80

VISITGEELONGBELLARINE.COM.AU

The pier is a safe harbour for visiting craft and water-based industry taking advantage of the close connection with Melbourne - it’s only 40km across the water. None more so than the new Port Phillip Ferries, a passenger ferry travelling between Melbourne’s Docklands and Portarlington.

3

A paddle, a ride on the miniature train, sandcastles and ice cream – sounds like the PERFECT WAY to spend an afternoon.

1. National Celtic Festival 2. View towards Melbourne from Portarlington 3. Port Phillip Ferries 4. Portarlington mussels

4

Families love the bayside open spaces, gentle beaches and compact nature of this north side of The Bellarine.

QUEENSCLIFF HERITAGE WALK: Learn more about the glorious buildings and architecture and the township of Queenscliff from its early settlement days. TOUR FORT QUEENSCLIFF: Explore the bunkers and buildings and dress up in military gear. QUEENSCLIFFE MARITIME MUSEUM: Learn about the rich maritime history with stories and photographic accounts from sea pilots and lighthouse keepers. QUEENSCLIFFE HISTORICAL MUSEUM: Casually browse the local history files or research families, people and places in the region.

1

WETSUIT. DINNER SUIT. WHATEVER SUITS. With beautiful grand old hotels and a proud military and maritime history, Queenscliff combines the best of the classic and modern worlds. Much of the architecture and activities nod to the past with several museums and hands-on activities to immerse yourself in. The old complements new vibrant precincts like Queenscliff Harbour, the perfect base to explore the waters of Port Phillip Bay. The ferry arrives nearby and tour boats depart from here for wildlife tours, fishing and swimming with dolphins. Or, you can bring your own boat and moor right out the front of the shops and cafés!

VISITGEELONGBELLARINE.COM.AU

In a classic, traditional town there are reminders of the past everywhere – from the turrets of grand hotels to maritime monuments in parks. Museums explore the military, seafaring and regional history of the area and the Bellarine Railway operates vintage trains from the town station. With history lessons learned, Queenscliff enjoys a party too. The last weekend in November is the Queenscliff Music Festival with stages and venues all over town, music, fun and festivities and people galore. The regular Blues Train party on the vintage steam train starts and finishes in Queenscliff. Featuring Australia’s best blues artists, the train operates on weekends between August and May, is now in its 24th year and doesn’t look like slowing down. Check dates and book tickets early.

Eating and drinking is great in Queenscliff – with a view, with friends, with sea air at 360Q, taste the region and its brews at Tastes of the Region and Queenscliff Brewhouse, a cocktail at the Salt Lounge or grab a quality coffee at Belsize & Co. Enjoy retail therapy in a town that still feels like shopping used to – verandah covered pathways link a trail of quality boutique shops from fashion, homewares and galleries to collectibles, gourmet produce and the perfect gift for someone special.

BELLARINE RAILWAY: Take a ride on a heritage steam train (It’s sometimes dressed up as characters from Thomas and Friends). Or party on board when it’s running as The Blues Train. QUEENSCLIFF PIER: Iconic and Instagram worthy location with views across the bay. Enjoy a walk above the waves, a salty sea breeze and maybe try your hand at fishing.

3

Queenscliff has also become a creative hub with several galleries along the main street to explore exhibitions or participate in workshops.

The main street, with its shopping and café strip, is right opposite the beach, perfect for alfresco dining with a sea breeze. Families love the sheltered front beach, sandy playground and, at low tide, exploring the rock pools. The pier is perfect for wandering or casting a line.

Point Lonsdale is enviably located at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay. The sky is dominated by the lighthouse, the sands below are popular beaches for sandcastles, rockpooling and, at the back beach, surfing.

If it’s amazing above sea level it’s breathtaking below. There’s a greater variety of marine life in Southern Port Phillip Bay than on the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkelling and diving is popular with visitors and locals alike.

OCEAN GROVE

COME FOR A SURF. OR A BREAK Families have been visiting Ocean Grove for generations. It’s not hard to understand why. The roar of the surf, the ocean breezes, the coastal town vibe, the sandy beaches – you can’t help but relax and exhale. The beach stretches for 10 kilometres and is the central point for activity. The Main Beach is patrolled during warmer months, one of the safest in the state and is a perfect spot to learn to surf, have a paddle and splash in the fun waves. More serious surfers will find suitable swells at neighbouring beaches along the coast. As a town, Ocean Grove is small enough to have an intimate atmosphere but big enough to be well serviced with a good range of retail spaces and eateries, found at the main street The Terrace, Grubb Rd and Shell Rd areas.

92

VISITGEELONGBELLARINE.COM.AU

Ocean Grove is bustling with people making the sea-change or using it as the perfect spot for a staycation. With Victoria’s largest theme park, Adventure Park, on its doorstep and other fun activities such as mini-golf, mazes, horse riding, learn-to-surf and farmers’ markets, no wonder Ocean Grove is the go-to place. Food and drink surround the town with The Terrace buzzing, the Bellarine’s own cidery and first class wineries at its entrance; such as Flying Brick Cider, Banks Road Vineyard, Marcus Hill Vineyard, Oakdene Vineyards, Wayawu Estate, McGlashans Estate and Yes Said the Seal. Grab your fresh produce from Farmer’s Harvest in the morning, swim in the ocean in the afternoon and dine amongst the birch trees at Oakdene in the evening.

BARWON HEADS

SALT IN THE AIR. SAND IN MY HAIR Barwon Heads is alive with ocean air and cool coastal vibes. The town has a dream position with a mix of gentle estuary, rocky coastal headland and ocean beaches. Families love the river beach for paddling and water play and the rockpools exposed near the Bluff at low tide. Around the corner, Thirteenth Beach has some of the best breaks to offer surfers on this part of the coast. The main street has more than a couple of good places to eat and plenty of boutiques to shop up a storm – whether you favour on-trend fashion, chic homewares or local food and wine from provedores. Suggestions include Annie’s Provedore, Barwon Heads Winestore, Hanoi Kitchen, Kiitos, Peppercorn Foods, At the Heads, Scandinavian Ice Cream and Coffetti Gelato. Just out of town, three of Victoria’s best public access golf courses overlook the Thirteenth Beach coastline. A little further, at Barwon Heads Airport, there are bigger thrills on offer - skydive onto the beach, adventure flights, scenic flights or aerobatics. All these are on routes often travelled by local Cadel Evans – and his mates each January - for the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, now a designated UCI world tour event. 13th Beach, Barwon Heads 1. Annie's Provedore, Barwon Heads 96
