GUARAT WILL HOST 10TH ADTOI CONVENTION
Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India to hold its annual convention in Kevadiya in Gujarat from Feb 12-14, 2021 with a theme DOMESTIC TOURISM – HOPE FOR THE REVIVAL

ssociation of Domestic Tour Operators of India has announced its management committee’s decision to hold their 10th annual convention from February 12-14, 2021 at Kevadia in Gujarat with the support of Gujarat Tourism, that could be a major catalyst to restart and revitalise the ailing travel and tourism industry in the country, which is in the death bed after an yearlong global and national lockdown due to COVID 19 pandemic and related travel restrictions. Theme of this year’s convention is “DOMESTIC TOURISM – HOPE FOR THE REVIVAL. According to Mr. PP Khanna, President, ADTOI, the State of Gujarat has always been on front foot to promote its tourism potential and in current times they are moving fast to revive and stabilize tourism. ADTOI has been supporting Tourism in Gujarat with all out endeavor to promote destinations in the State since long. Apart from extending support to all our Annual Conventions in the past has also hosted our Convention in 2019 held in Ahmedabad now 16

in Kevadia at Tent City. Our team has started working on it and expected to put up a grand show. We expect the presence of about 400 plus delegates during the Convention which will be grandly inaugurated on 12th February 2021 in the evening at Convention Hall, Kevadia. Mr. Chetan Gupta, Convention Chairman said , “ After the pandemic, it’s high time to design and re-think how to encourage tourism and make people travel again of vibrant culture is blessed with diverse tourism products, and people are willing to explore India. The convention will focus and discuss all the possible methods and modes to promote India and showcase its rich culture and heritage to the world. The convention will be designed to benefit the participants with
substantial knowledge and offer a platform to meet business partners after the lockdown”. We have coined the theme to support our stand since the time COVID 19 pandemic devastated livelihoods of the stakeholders of tourism industry. Travelling is an inborn activity with all of us. We cannot stop travelling. And after a great break it is happening, people are moving out of their homes alone or with family for their social needs and by the grace of God tourism is reviving at destinations more during weekdays/festivities and it is going to bounce back in the days to come. We all should be prepared to cater to the needs of people willing to take a holiday or for business and fulfil social commitments. Gujarat is a Pioneer State looking at tourism seriously and doing all that is possible to showcase the state to the rest of India to experience incredible India, Mr. Chetan added.
