Dog Basic Manners Class Kris Rooney, B.Ed., CPDT-KA of Ministik Hills Dog Training Tofield Do you wish your dog was a bit more mannerly? Is going for a walk on leash more like tug of war than a pleasant stroll? Kris, our very experienced trainer, will teach your dog to Sit, Down, Stay and much more! Common problems, such as jumping up and excessive barking will also be addressed. Dogs of any age, with up to date vaccinations are welcome. Diabetes the Basics One, 6 hr session This workshop will cover diabetes myths and facts, progression of diabetes, healthy eating with diabetes, blood glucose monitoring and control, medications for diabetes, what to do during an illness, benefits of keeping active and adopting a healthy lifestyle. This workshop is for people diagnosed with pre diabetes or type 2 diabetes or who are at risk of developing diabetes. One, 3 hr session This workshop will explain the causes, risk factors and complications of high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol. The workshop will explain heart healthy choices and how to measure your own blood pressure. This workshop is diagnosed for people with high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol or who have risk factors for heart disease.
Weight Wise A variety of 2 ½ hour workshops These workshops are designed for anyone who would like to learn strategies to help manage their weight. Please refer to the Weight Wise Workshop Tracker for information about specific Weight Wise workshops.
