Victoria Settlement Potato Derby - August Wholesome, high-fibre family fun. Sink your teeth into a baked potato, and compete in potato themed contests, races and more!

Métis Crossing Voyageur Experience - August Explore the evolution of the unique Métis Nation.

Smoky Lake Pumpkin Festival - October A competition for the largest pumpkin, watermelon, squash and more. Enjoy food at the hall and fair grounds, plus a special Farmers’ Market at the Ag Complex grounds, and at the school gymnasium. Check out the threshing bee at the museum grounds, and be sure not to miss the Pumpkin drop, and so much more!

Meet the Producers 1 Bear Lake Honey Pick up some locally grown, family loved honey at the Smoky Lake Farmers’ Market. Enjoy this fresh honey produced primarily from clover and alfalfa. 2 Bellis Greenhouse Visit Nancy and Brad at their colourful greenhouse for all your flower garden needs! From the beginning of May until they sell out they have a variety of bedding plants, perennials, and trees to choose from.

3 Hutterian Brethren of Smoky Lake Colony Stop in at the Greenhouse offering flowers, tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers from the beginning of May to the second week in June, Monday to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, and 7 pm to 9 pm. Sundays from 1 pm to 7 pm.

4 Linda's Market Garden Visit their farm store for locally grown pre-picked strawberries, and for seasonal vegetables like young potatoes, peas, carrots, beans, pickling cucumbers, cabbage, corn, onions, and garlic. You will also find dilled carrots, pickles, sauerkraut; plus Ukrainian favourites such as perogies, cabbage rolls, pereshke and borscht! Open May to October 10 am to 6 pm daily.

Meet the Producers 5 Meadow Creek Farms All your food is planted with love and Farmer Mandy believes you will taste the difference in her locally, sustainably grown food. Mandy follows the philosophy that you feed the soil not the plants. Mandy specializes in garlic, onions and field tomatoes. Her menu also includes free range chicken, pork and turkey. Check out her online store, and delivery schedule today! Weekly deliveries to Fort McMurray.

6 River Rock Alpacas and Apiaries Ltd. Help a family live their dream of bringing you quality, unique items and enjoy the benefits of locally produced alpaca fibre, yarns, socks, insoles, as well as knit, crochet and felt creations. They also offer raw beeswax, beeswax candles, beeswax food wraps, honey and a variety of infused honey. Visitors are welcome to their farm but need to contact them first.

7 Riverside Emus Animals and humans alike will love the healing oils provided from Riverside Emu's. Having problems with your skin or perhaps a wound that needs healing, they have an oil that will help! Jered & Julia Serben, (4th generation farmers) along with their 3 children, raise animals using natural, pasture-based farming methods. 10 Winding Road Artisan Cheese Enjoy some locally made hand-crafted artisan cheese.

They use only organic cows milk, and a unique vegetable enzyme to create their high quality cheeses.
