tout terrain products have been around since 2004. That is not long. However, alongside the company founder and idea generator Oliver Römer a number of additional experts work in development at and for tout terrain, who enjoy massive recognition from insiders. Using leading-edge design methods we have transformed the ideas and experiences of these people into real and reliable products.
The frame is the basis of a high quality bike, although the components are also of central importance to constantly smooth and reliable travel. tout terrain therefore uses high quality brand name components. All tout terrain frames are prepared for the application of disc brakes as standard, whilst the complete bikes are equipped with these. We consider disc brakes to be the best braking system because there is no braking on the bearing parts, the wheels, and the braking capacity and therefore your safety in the wet is considerably better than with calliper brakes.
Think globally – act locally! This phrase from the 70’s has even more validity today. We attempt to meet with our responsibility for sustainability and produce the majority of our products in Europe. Alongside the assembly of our children’s trailers and bikes we also produce all bike frames in the EU. We also try, wherever economically viable, to procure parts from suppliers in the EU. However, we cannot be fully detached from the globalised world and many components do originate from Asian regions. You can however be certain that you will receive a product that has earned the claim MADE IN EUROPE in every regard.

Cependant aux côtés du fondateur de l'entreprise et générateur d'idées Oliver Römer, d'autres experts travaillent au et pour le développement de tout terrain, qui jouissent de la meilleure réputation parmi les gens du milieu. Nous avons transposé les idées et les expériences de ces hommes à l'aide des méthodes de construction les plus modernes dans des produits réels et fiables.
Le cadre est la base d'un vélo de valeur, mais les composants pour une conduite facile et fiable dans la durée sont également prépondérants. C'est pourquoi le tout terrain utilise logiquement des composants de marque de valeur. Tous les cadres tout terrain sont préparés en série pour recevoir des freins à disque ou bien les roues complètes en sont équipées. Nous considérons les freins à disque comme le meilleur système de freinage, car les freins n'agissent pas sur des pièces porteuses, les jantes et de plus la puissance de freinage et donc la sécurité sur route mouillé est nettement meilleure que celle des freins à mâchoires.
Pensez au niveau global – agissez au niveau local! Cette phrase des années 70 est valable aujourd'hui plus que jamais. Nous essayons de satisfaire à notre responsabilité de durabilité et nous produisons la plupart de nos produits en Europe. À part le montage des remorques pour enfants et vélos, nous fabriquons des cadres de vélos dans l'UE. Nous essayons également d'acheter nos propres pièces de sous-traitance en UE, quand ceci est viable du point de vue économique. Cependant, nous non plus nous ne pouvons pas nous retirer du monde globalisé et donc de nombreux composants viennent d'Asie. Mais vous pouvez être assurés que vous recevez un produit qui mérite à tous points de vue la mention MADE IN EUROPE.

Low-maintenance The majority of our customers use their bike not only for travelling and weekend outings but also as a means of everyday transport. For this reason it is very important that the service intervals be as long as possible and the maintenance costs remain within certain boundaries. Many fine details on our bikes ensure that the desire for low-maintenance is fulfilled. The number of screw-fitted parts is reduced for example due to the integrated carrier, which also reduces the risk of something coming loose. Currently leading in terms of low-maintenance is the Metropolitan with belt drive because here even oiling the chain becomes a thing of the past. The delta provides enough rice for the whole country. Every year the coast pushes up to 80m further out to sea, but climate change could put an end to this natural process. The river is so humongous that one still feels the tides beyond its estuary. On its fertile banks not only rice fields extend, but also sugarcane, coconut and fruit flourish. Although the region seems rural, it is one of the most densely populated regions of Vietnam.
Le delta offre suffisamment de riz pour tout le pays. Chaque année, la côte pousse à sortir encore 80m de la mer, mais le changement climatique pourrait mettre fin à ce processus naturel. Le fleuve est tellement gigantesque qu'il se sent toujours de son côté de l'estuaire.
