Pier Park is a year round facility which offers many activities for Grosse Pointe Farms families. The facilities include; a Beach, Large Pool, Wading Pool, Splash Playground, Large Playscape, Tot Playscape, 3 Tennis Courts, 2 Sand Volleyball Courts, 3 Shuffle Board Courts, 2 Paddle Tennis Courts, a Refrigerated Ice Rink, 333 Slip Harbor, and a Community Building with Rentable Space.

Kerby Field

In addition to Pier Park, the Parks and Recreation Department maintains Kerby field which includes; 3 Baseball Diamonds, a Soccer Field, a Play Scape, a Roller Hockey Rink, Ice Rink (during winter months) and a Dog Park.

THE CITY

Grosse Pointe Park is a city bordering on Detroit with frontage on southern Lake Saint Clair. It is the westernmost of the noted Grosse Pointe suburbs, with the oldest overall housing stock of the five cities. Grosse Pointe Park is 6 miles east of downtown Detroit and thus is home to many who commute to the city on a daily basis.

Patterson Park, located at the foot of Three Mile Drive and Essex, is a year round facility which offers many activities for Grosse Pointe Park families. Facilities include a covered picnic shelter, a splash pad, two regulation tennis courts, a playground playscape, bocce ball court, putting green practice facility, nature trail, exercise course, a covered pavilion and lake access for non-motorized watercraft, such as windsurfers and kayaks. Winter activities include: ice skating, sledding, and cross-country skiing.

Hutton Ice Rink: Open until 8:00 pm when in operation

Windmill Pointe Park, located at Barrington and Windmill Pointe Drive, is a year round facility which offers many activities for Grosse Pointe Park families. The facilities include an Olympic size swimming pool, wading pool, marina, a fishing pier, four lighted tennis courts, two sand volleyball courts, two horseshoe pits and playground equipment. Also located at the park are the Tompkins Community Center which can be reserved for parties, the Lavins Activity Center which houses two movie theaters, the Meade Fitness Center and Golden Family Gymnasium.
