VERS E R U T U F ABOUT
Futureversity believes all young people have the potential to be extraordinary. We are an award-winning charity offering inspiring free courses to 11-25 year olds to help them develop the skills and self-belief they need to make the most of their lives. Working in partnership with businesses, organisations and local authorities, our courses open young people up to new possibilities and give them real experience of careers and activities that would otherwise be beyond their reach. Our work has been proven to raise aspirations, reduce local youth crime, break down racial tensions and get unemployed young people into sustained work or training. Founded as Tower Hamlets Summer University in 1995, we rebranded to Futureversity in 2010 to reflect both the range of our programmes and our work outside the borough. As well as delivering a dynamic summer programme, we run a number of year-round activities, including employability programme Job Ready, a youth magazine (www.fv1magazine.com) and accredited volunteering, apprenticeship and internship schemes.
SUPPORT US With well over 1 million young people now unemployed there has never been a more crucial time to invest in our work. With little statutory funding, we are increasingly reliant on donations from those who want to make a tangible difference to the lives of young people. Find out about the different ways you can help fund our courses at www.futureversity.org/donate Every donation, big or small, counts.
