Welcome to the Aurora Cultural Centre

Engaging performing arts, exhibitions and special events for all ages.

This Fall, we’re rolling out the Welcome Mat

We have much to be hopeful for as we prepare for the Fall season, with the vaccination campaign in full swing, and with careful easing of public health measures. However, as we prepare for this publication, we don’t yet know what the future holds when it comes to live in-person programming, gathering limits and public health restrictions. Our Welcome Mat commitment to your care, and to all those involved in our programming, is our health and safety promise to you. For up-to-date information on how we will come back together again, please visit:

Our programs will continue, whether live in-person and in-class, or livestreamed and virtual. We have learned so much over the past 18 months. What remains constant is our commitment to our community. Thank you for your continuing support.

At press time, all Town facilities, including Town Hall, remain closed, and staff continue to work offsite. Please visit AuroraCulturalCentre.ca for all up-to-date programming and opening information.

Constellations

Solo Exhibition and Sale Emily Carriere

Constellations is a solo exhibition presenting the intricate and colourful vinyl and acrylic artworks by award-winning emerging artist Emily Carriere. Through experimentation and intuition, Carriere’s creates abstract images with intricately cut and layered patterns and shapes. Carriere values the process of creating as much as the final content, and is continuously reworking and reimagining her ever evolving pieces. The artwork in this exhibition is immediately attractive with its bright colours, sparkly shine, and use of organic and repeating symmetrical designs. We are thrilled to be hosting Carriere’s first solo exhibition outside of Toronto on our website with in-person viewing to be determined.

Check AuroraCulturalCentre.ca this season for additional digital content, artist interviews and more.
