TROWBRIDGE Knitting To Remember
Trowbridge Town Council is hoping to engage the services of keen local knitting enthusiasts, to play a special part in the town's Remembrance commemoration in November. After decorating the town with hundreds of knitted poppies in 2019, knitters are being invited to send more in this year to the Information Centre in the Civic Centre. A pattern can be provided if required. All poppies are to be with the Information Centre by Friday November 1st, and all knitters are invited to join a 'Knit and Natter' event at Shaws The Drapers in Castle Place on Saturday October 26th.
A WANDER IN WONDERLAND
Explore your own wonderland at a new children’s sensory walk An Alice in Wonderland themed family event is planned for the October half term at Lackham House to raise money to support children and adults living with a disability. A Wander in Wonderland, taking place on Monday 28 October 2019, is designed for children aged 1-11 to experience the sights, sounds, smells and sensations of their very own wonderland kingdom.
The 1.5 mile wander will be set among the trees in the walled garden at Lackham House, near Chippenham and will be fully accessible to children with special educational needs and disabilities. Each child who takes part will be fundraising to support Designability, a small charity based in Bath who design and develop assistive technology and helpful products for people living with a disability or long-term health condition. The charity have already transformed the lives of children like Frank (pictured) who has dystonic quad cerebral palsy as a result of becoming seriously ill
All equipment will be provided, and those participating are invited to stop by for the whole session or just half an hour. For more information, please email info@trowbridge.gov.uk or call 01225 765072.
Mayoral Christmas Card With Christmas approaching rapidly, Trowbridge Town Council are looking for designs for this year’s Mayoral Christmas Card. With no age limit, all entrants can use a range of different media such as pencil, pen, paint, photographs, or even computer design programs. The only restriction is that designs must be 2D. All designs must be submitted by 12.00 noon on Monday 30th September 2019. The Mayor will judge them, and the winner will be announced shortly after. All proceeds from sales will go towards the Mayor’s charity, ruksak45218. Email your designs to info@ trowbridge.gov.uk or drop them in to or post to The Information Centre, Civic Centre, S.t Stephen’s Place, Trowbridge BA14 8AH. Cards will be available to purchase from the Information Centre by the end of October.
with meningitis when he was a newborn baby. It means that his whole body, including his face, is affected and now, aged 2 and a half, he is unable to sit, crawl, walk or talk. Frank’s family were provided with a free Wizzybug powered wheelchair from Designability which he is able to operate independently. He uses his Wizzybug almost every day and it’s given him the ability to be mischievous and move away from mum and dad and play when he previously relied on them to hold him and move him around. It has provided him with freedom he never had before. Tickets for the walk are £10 per child (aged 2+) and an adult can accompany up to three children for free. The charity then ask that each family seek sponsorship to enable them to help more children like Frank. A Wander in Wonderland begins at 4.00pm on Monday 28 October 2019. A calm and quiet sign-in option will be available for children who prefer it and refreshments are included in the ticket price. To take part, please visit: http://bit.ly/WanderInWonderland or search Wander in Wonderland. Visit www.designability.org.uk to find out more about Designability. www.towncriermagazine.com

THE JACK O’ LANTERN Why we carve pumpkins at Halloween
By Aoife Brennan
W
e think of the Halloween pumpkin lantern as an American invention but in fact it was the Irish who took the tradition of carving pumpkins to America, except the original Jack O' Lantern was not a pumpkin because they didn’t exist in Ireland. Celtic cultures actually carved turnips on All Hallows’ Eve and placed a glowing piece of coal or a candle in them, to ward off evil spirits. There are many stories behind these turnip lanterns but one of the most popular comes from The Tale of Stingy Jack. Stingy Jack was a grumpy old drunkard who liked to play malicious tricks on just about everyone including his family, friends and his mother. He was proud of his antics and boasted that he could trick the Devil himself. The Devil heard about Jack and paid him a visit. Jack was as good as his word and tricked the Devil into climbing up an apple tree. 20
www.towncriermagazine.com
Once the Devil was in the tree, Stingy Jack hurriedly placed crosses around the base of its trunk. The Devil couldn’t touch the crosses, so he was stuck in the tree. Stingy Jack made the Devil promise him not to take his soul when he died. Reluctantly the Devil agreed, and Stingy Jack removed the crosses, and allowed the Devil to climb back down. Many years later, when Jack died, he found his way to the pearly gates of Heaven. Saint Peter told him that because he’d been mean and cruel and had led a miserable, worthless life he could not let him enter Heaven. Stingy Jack then went down to Hell. The Devil smiled mischievously and said he was bound by the promise he’d made in the apple tree and would not allow him to enter Hell. Stingy Jack became really scared. He had nowhere to go and was doomed to wander about forever in the dark Netherworld between heaven and hell. He protested to the
Devil that there was no light, so the Devil tossed him a piece of coal from the flames of Hell. Jack always carried a turnip with him because it was one of his favourite foods. He hollowed out the turnip and placed the glowing coal the Devil had given him inside. From that day onward, Stingy Jack roamed the earth without a resting place, lighting his way as he went with his ‘Jack O' Lantern’. On all Hallows’ eve, it became the tradition for Irish people to hollow out Turnips, swedes, potatoes and beets. They placed a little light in them to ward off evil spirits and keep Stingy Jack away. These were the original Jack O' Lanterns. In the 1800's waves of Irish people travelled to America in search of better lives. These Irish immigrants quickly discovered that American Pumpkins were bigger and much easier to carve, so they began to use pumpkins for Jack O' Lanterns. Eventually this new trend found its way back across the Atlantic to Ireland and the UK.
BEAUTIFUL Blueberries
GARDEN GARDEN
view
I love blueberries and they are not only incredibly good for you but also quite simple to grow. They thrive in a sunny border or in a pot on a balcony or patio, so there’s no excuse for not harvesting a crop of your own.
I
In addition, they are a generous plant. All varieties produce pretty white flowers in the spring, followed by delicate green fruits which ripen to deep blue. If that wasn’t enough, the foliage then turns pink and peach for Autumn. Blueberry bushes do require an acid soil to thrive but if you don’t have that (I don’t!) then use pots of well-drained ericaceous compost. When you need to re-pot, choose a pot just a few inches larger because they fruit better in a snug pot! Ensure it has adequate drainage holes and put some stones or crocks in the bottom and keep it raised so it doesn’t become waterlogged. Water with rainwater from your water butt, especially if you live in a hardwater area. Make sure they are watered well while they become established and also while the fruit is ripening. Feeding with tomato food helps too. Poor or erratic watering causes the blueberries to shrivel or split, and
no-one likes a shrivelled blueberry! If you have acid soil you can plant blueberry bushes at any time of year when the ground is soft. Dig a hole twice the size of the root-ball and spread the roots as you refill the hole to the base of the stem. Press the soil down with the heel of your boot. Blueberries are sun-lovers and will fruit most abundantly in full sun. They are better grown in pairs to allow for cross-
pollination. If you can bear it, remove the flower buds in the first year after planting because it encourages strong stem growth better fruiting for the following year. They don’t require any pruning for a few years. After that thin overcrowded or unproductive branches in winter after the leaves have fallen. Remember blueberries fruit on branches produced the previous year, so each year remove one or two of the oldest canes to make space for the more productive younger stems. In the winter move pots to a sheltered area or the shed for protection. NOTE – Our feathered friends love blueberries as much as we do so make sure you protect you harvest with netting! Happy gardening!

Greener THE GRASS IS ALWAYS
A step by step guide to replacing your lawn Amongst the other jobs to do at this time of year (planting spring bulbs, harvesting the last of your apples, taking cuttings etc) this is the last chance you have to turn your attention to your lawn. It is reasonably simple to create a fresh batch of grass ready for you to enjoy. So as with everything in life, the key to a great lawn is in the preparation. Don’t skimp on this bit! You might be an impatient gardener but honestly make sure you get the ground ready before you waste further time and money laying seed. First of all, look at the size of your area. A smaller plot is manageable with a shovel, but it is labour intensive so you may prefer to rent a sod cutter from your local plant store which will slice through the turves and cut them into
strips. It’s easier to do this with wet ground so either wait for rain or get your hose out. Once you’ve removed the grass then you’ll have a good muddy patch to work on. Grass is happiest in welltreated soil so clear away any weeds or plants and give the soil a dig over to remove any stones, lumps and roots. Tread the soil with your boots and redistribute areas to create a level lawn. Use a roller to flatten the soil and create a firm surface. Using a rake, go over the soil in different directions and once you’re happy with the level you can add 2-3cm of seeding soil which gives the right conditions for germination. You may need to level again to produce a crumbly texture depending on the brand chosen. Now you have an area that is ready for sowing. This is your big ta-dah! moment! Sprinkle your lawn seed across the area (check package instructions for the recommended rate
NEW
of application). Lightly rake to ensure your seed is incorporated into the soil. Using gentle boots, walk over the seed pressing it in gently or use a roller. Water the whole area thoroughly using a fine spray watering can or sprinkler. You’ll need to water every day until your seeds are established which can take up to a couple of weeks. Note that it is better to water thoroughly once. Let the grass grow to about 5-8cms in length before you’re tempted to use your mower. Make sure that the grass is dry before you mow and do so on the highest setting. And there you have it. Of course it’s not going to be easy, but then the best things in life need a bit of effort, don’t they? For the sake of some good, old-fashioned hard work you’ll have a beautiful lawn to enjoy for years to come.

American Indian burial grounds, multiple homicides, hauntings and sightings. Jack appears to become possessed by forces at work there. The tension and claustrophobia build a threatening atmosphere. Prepare to be transported into the long, dark corridors at The Overlook Hotel and know that something dreadful awaits you there. There's a plot twist or another dimension on every page, as you explore King’s carefully crafted nightmare landscape, populated with the spectres of dead children and their maniac father. As the plot develops, we question whether Jack is really possessed or simply an alcoholic losing his mind, and whether Danny is psychic or whether what he sees is because he’s been so damaged by his dysfunctional family. King’s skill is to weave together the demons, both real and imagined without drawing any distinct boundaries between the two. As the story builds to its terrifying conclusion you will be on the edge of your seat.
READ By Willow Coby
The Shining By Stephen King
Even if you have seen and loved Stanley Kubrick’s film, maybe even especially if you’ve seen and loved it, you should read the book. The book is a deeper (and scarier) experience altogether. Stephen King is a master storyteller, and in The Shining he created a classic novel of possession and isolation. The Torrances are a damaged family. Jack is an ex-teacher and sometime writer with a drink problem, who takes the only job he can find – the winter caretaker at a hotel called The Overlook. He takes along his wife, and young son Danny. They are welcomed by the chef, Dick Hallorann, who has psychic abilities which he calls ‘the shine’, and Dick quickly realises that Danny shines too. He has to leave but forms a powerful connection with Danny promising that wherever he is if Danny calls to him, he will hear and come – a promise he later honours. Ostensibly Danny is the main character and the book is about his father’s descent into madness, but it is the hotel which dominates the story. King paints an incredibly detailed picture with undertones of 30
www.towncriermagazine.com
The Shining is a book that doesn’t only deserve a place on the bookshelves of horror fans, but of anyone who enjoys a well-crafted, fast-paced story with plenty of depth. Read it and you won’t be disappointed.
By the Light of the Halloween Moon
– Caroline Stutson and Kevin Hawkes
I rarely recommend a book you may have to find second hand, but there are plenty available from various sources and it is well worth the effort in time for Halloween. Caroline Stutson’s infectious graphic story, full of rhythmic repetition and alliteration, simply bounces along. It all begins on the night of a full Halloween moon, when we see a wiggling toe being stalked by a black cat. The cat never reaches the toe, because it is stopped by a witch, and so the scene is set for a succession of scary creatures, including a bungling, bouncy, breezy bat and a grumpy grungy hobgoblin sprite, who are all thwarted in their various attempts to reach the toe. The repetition of key lines makes it a terrific book for reading aloud and encourages younger children to join in, while Kevin Hawkes’ scary-comic illustrations make By the Light of the Halloween Moon an appealing book for children and adults alike. The ending, where we finally meet the owner of the wiggling toe, is delightful and sure to leave everyone smiling.

Turmeric
SUPER SPICE
It has a warm, peppery flavour and although rather bitter it has a mild fragrance with a hint of ginger and orange. Indeed, because of its vibrant colour, turmeric is a super addition to salad dressings, cakes, orange juice, cereals and more but it easily stains so beware of clothes, skin and table cloths!
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AYURVEDIC MEDICINE INDIAN TEXTILE DYE INDIAN WEDDING CEREMONIES
It is typically used in powdered form but it can also be used as a fresh addition to a dish in the same way that you might use ginger - in Far Eastern recipes it is often added to things like pickles. In medicinal terms it is said to support antioxidant protection against free radicals, helps maintain normal cholesterol levels and also maintain correct blood sugar levels. Easy enough to pop in a curry then and get health benefits too!

Chippenham Friday & Saturday Markets There has been a weekly market in Chippenham since King John first granted a charter to hold one in April 1205. Later King Edward extended the privilege in 1314 so that an additional market could be held on a Saturday. These historic markets are now managed by Chippenham Town Council. To ensure a vibrant and bustling market for locals and visitors to Chippenham, we are looking for new traders. Taster sessions, casual and permanent pitches are available. So come along and join our regular traders which currently include fish, cheese, bread, fruit & veg, butcher, watches, hot food vendors, home improvements, garden ornaments, clothing and cakes. Our market trading times 8.30am – 4pm both days. For more information please contact: Tracy Howell, Market & Compliance Manager 01249 446699 | thowell@chippenham.gov.uk

TOMATO Chutney
If you’re wary of making chutneys and jams start with this easy recipe Cooking time: 50 mins Makes about 1.5 litres / 2¾ pints Keep for about 6 months in a cool, dark place,
Ingredients
1kg ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped 750g cooking apple, peeled, cored and chopped 375g light muscovado sugar 250g onion, finely chopped 250g raisins 1 green pepper, deseeded and chopped 2 tsp salt / ½ tsp ground ginger / 350ml cider vinegar
r-
Method
First wash your jars and lids in hot soapy water. Rinse but do not dry. Place all on a tray into a preheated oven at 160-180ºC for 15 mins. The trick to jams and chutneys is that the jars and the contents should be hot. Place all ingredients into a large pan and bring to the boil over a medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar has dissolved. Simmer gently, uncovered, for about 45-50 mins or until everything is tender and thickened. Cool, then ladle the hot preserve into a heatproof jug to make it easier to transfer to your jars. Be careful not to get any onto the rim of the jars as you pour as it could introduce bacteria. Fill the jars leaving a 1/2cm gap at the top. While everything is still hot, cover the jars with their lids or use wax paper and a piece of cellophane secured tightly with an elastic band.

A quick & easy Autumn warmer!
Nuts Despite their popularity at Christmas, chestnut season actually starts in September, though they’re not at their best until October. Chestnuts are good for both savoury and sweet dishes – try them in a savoury pie with mushroom or root vegetables, blended into a soup with squash and Bramley apple, or for a sweet dish, make into a sweet puree to pair with chocolate in a cake or roll.
Meat and More Wild duck is available from October and is a good choice if you’re cooking Thai or Chinese cuisine. Fresh goose will have been available from September but the season doesn’t really kick off until closer to Christmas. The season for most fresh seafood ends around September, but the peak season for mussels starts in October and goes through until March. Crabs are also in season until November and fresh whiting is available through the winter months too.
800g pumpkin (peeled, seeded & cubed)
Place all ingredients except the cream into your slow cooker.
2 onions / 2 carrots 1 large potato 1 litre cold water 3 vegetable stock cubes 250ml double cream 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, pinch of salt to taste
Cook on low for 4-6 hrs. Test with a fork to ensure the vegetables have softened completely. Put into a food processor and whiz until smooth. Add in the double cream. Serve with crusty bread and enjoy this Autumn warmer!

FIREWORKS
Most of us love watching fireworks, but have you ever thought about how rockets work? It’s a fascinating science and if you read on, you’ll be able to amaze your friends in the pub after attending your local display. Fireworks are essentially small missiles designed to explode in a controlled and colourful way. The word ‘firework’ originates from the Greek word pyrotechnics, which means, ‘fire art’ or ‘fire skill’; and modern rocket designs require both in huge amounts.
colourful parts of the firework (the effects) explode a little later. In a basic rocket, the main fuse consists of a piece of paper or fabric that you light with a match. In a complex public firework display, fuses are lit by electrical contacts known as wirebridge fuseheads. When the firework technician pushes a button, an electric current flows along a wire into the fusehead, which ignites the main fuse. Electrical ignition has the advantage it can be done at a very safe distance.
Charge
This is actually a fairly crude explosive designed to blast the rocket up into the sky. Some rockets travel at speeds as fast as a fighter jet. The charge is usually made up of tightly packed, coarse explosive gunpowder (known as black powder) and simply sends the firework high into the air, clear of spectators; it’s not responsible for the spectacular colours.
Effect This is the business
end of the firework. A single firework may have just one effect, or several, packed into separate compartments which fire off in sequence, ignited by a time-delay fuse. Effects are explosives too, but different from the main charge. Each effect is made up of more loosely packed, finer explosive material, often fashioned into separate ‘stars’, which make up the small, individual, colourful explosions from a larger firework. The arrangement of patterns and colours depend on how each effect is made and packed.
Head This is the top part of the firework which contains the effect or effects. Sometimes the head has a pointed nosecone to make the firework faster and more aerodynamic and improve the chance of it going in a straight line. By Tracey Anderson
Rockets mostly consist of five main parts.
The tail / stick
This protrudes from the bottom and ensures the firework shoots in a straight line, which is important for two reasons: first, so that the rocket doesn’t fly off in a random direction, and injure someone; and second, because it aids accuracy and precision when creating complex displays.
Fuse This is the part that allows
the firework to be ignited safely. It allows a time delay before the main part of the firework (the charge) begins to burn. This charge ignites other, smaller fuses that make the interesting,

I am a wildlife and pet portrait watercolour artist based in the Bath area. Nothing gives me more pleasure than revealing a just completed painting of a beloved pet to its owner. My aim is to not only portray an accurate illustration of someone’s four legged friends but to also capture the essence of its character and expression. These portraits become family treasures once a pet has sadly passed on.

NEW STUDENTS’ FIRST DAY AT KINGSBURY GREEN ACADEMY One hundred and fifty young people opened a new chapter in Calne’s history when they became the first students to study at the town’s new Kingsbury Green Academy. Principal Jason Tudor welcomed the new Year Seven students in the academy’s first ever assembly, and told them that the school’s motto, Achieving Excellence Together, would guide students and staff alike in creating a culture of aspiration, confidence and support. “Our parent school, The John Bentley School, made great strides forwards over the past few years, and the results achieved by the last cohort of GCSE and A Level students this summer were fantastic,” Mr Tudor told his young audience. “Kingsbury Green Academy will be building on that success even further, and my colleagues and I will work together with you so that when you leave the school in five or seven years’ time, each of you will have achieved your own personal goal in the area of life that you want to excel in. Whether that is in science, art, music, sport , drama or whatever else is your passion, at Kingsbury Green you will have every opportunity to shine and be your best possible self.” In the months running up to the opening of Kingsbury Green Academy, staff and students have worked tirelessly to create a fresh new look to the buildings and its surroundings. Kingsbury Green Academy is part of the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Trust. The decision to join the trust was led by Jason Tudor, who took over the role of Principal in 2015 and has led the school to record breaking results every year since. www.kingsburygreenacademy.com

IREWORKS season can be a frightening time for many pets but there is much we can do to help them cope:
Keep them inside – it is best to keep pets indoors during the evenings a few days before and after an advertised display or a neighbour’s bonfire. There’s a risk that loud bangs and flashing lights may cause them to flee from the garden if they are out. Walk them during daylight hours – this reduces the risk of getting surprised by loud noises when out walking. Create a safe place – drawn curtains muffle outside noise and flashing lights. Put the radio or TV on to mask the sound of fireworks and make a den for them to hide in should they become nervous. Place soft pillows and blankets around it to dampen outside noise.
Calming pheromone diffusers or sprays can help by using these products at least 48 hours before any fireworks are likely to start. Spray your pet’s bedding or safe place 15 minutes before allowing access to this area. Nutraceuticals (food supplements) can be given daily over a period of time to help pets feel more settled. Noise phobia desensitisation CDs can be useful to slowly acclimatise your pet to sudden noises. Begin playing these in the weeks running up to the 5th November. Reward calm behaviour but ignore any signs of anxiety. If the above options have not worked or your pet is particularly anxious, we can use anxiety-relieving sedative medicines to help them through the worst of it. For more information on any of the above please contact us; we’ll be happy to advise further. Hopefully, you and your pets can enjoy the season ahead without any anxiety.
Keep them company – try not to leave your pets at home on their own when fireworks are planned. They will feel safer and less fearful in your company. Act naturally – Pets sense their owners’ anxieties too, so it is important to go about your normal routine calmly. Reward calm behaviour and ignore fearful behaviour – reinforcing calm behaviour with food, treats or cuddles helps to make firework www.towncriermagazine.com

Rats Tales By Tracey Anderson
WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER A RAT AS YOUR NEXT PET. Rats suffer from bad press, but these intelligent little rodents actually make delightful pets, as celebrities from Paris Hilton to John Cleese can testify. Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films fell in love with the two rats who played Scabbers and asked to adopt them when filming ended.
their human family members on the couch or riding on their shoulders. They have an uncomplicated diet. Commercial ‘rat blocks’, which are nutritionally-complete pellets available at pet stores can be supplemented with vegetables from your kitchen. The only thing better than one rat is two rats! They do better in pairs because they keep each other amused.
They are clean creatures and groom themselves frequently and diligently. They can even be trained to use a litter tray! They’re smart and empathetic too. Rats are intelligent, highly social and inquisitive little animals. They spend lots of time exploring and playing, and form life-long bonds They recognise their owners and respond to their voice. They will choose to hang out with

MOTORING
Arteon By Tim Barnes-Clay
V
olkswagen’s Arteon is a roomy coupe that chucks in some style to boost the VW Passat’s familyfriendly formula.
The Arteon’s large grille makes sure it sticks out from other coupes, but the well-built cabin isn’t quite as striking. The digital instruments are cool, but most of the interior has been appropriated from the more conservative, and cheaper, Passat.
The space inside the VW Arteon is fantastic though, and the seats very comfortable. The car will seat a familyof-five – with rear seat passengers getting masses of legroom. The boot is enormous, too. Everyone’s luggage will fit in there – no problem.
64
www.towncriermagazine.com
One of the best powertrains for the model is the 2.0-litre 150ps diesel mated to a sevenspeed automatic transmission. It packs enough punch and is economical – achieving up to 50.4mpg. On the road, the German coupe soaks up potholes well, particularly when you move the optional adaptable suspension into 'comfort' setting.
There is also a stack of technology to keep you out of harm's way. For instance, the car comes with adaptive cruise control; there’s also gadgetry that will automatically pull over and stop the Arteon if it senses you’ve dropped off at the wheel. No surprise then that this Volkswagen achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating during crash testing. So, not only is the Volkswagen Arteon a good-looking and practical coupe, but it is also a car well matched to family motoring.

CHARLIE THE CHURCHILL BEAR joins Colleagues for Malmesbury Carnival fun!
The sales team from Churchill Retirement Living’s new William Lodge development in Malmesbury were joined by company mascot Charlie Bear for the Malmesbury Carnival Procession on Saturday 31st August. Charlie joined his Churchill Colleagues and many other local volunteers to collect donations along the carnival
route, helping the Carnival Charity to raise a total in excess of £19,000 to support local charities and voluntary organisations. The Churchill team also handed out complimentary balloons, union jack flags and sweets to the crowds who lined the roads. Jo Ridehalgh, Regional Marketing Executive at Churchill Retirement Living, said: “It was a pleasure for Churchill to be involved in the Malmesbury Carnival & Festival for the first time this year. Our mascot Charlie the Churchill Bear was a real hit with the kids, and the team all enjoyed giving something back to the
community and raising money for so many great local causes.” Over 50% of Churchill’s 26 brand new low maintenance one and two bedroom apartments at William Lodge have already been sold. The apartments at the Lodge on Gloucester Road have been designed to make life easier and more enjoyable for buyers in their retirement years and offer security, peace of mind and independent living, while being surrounded by a friendly new community. With prices at the development starting from £240,950, those looking to enjoy a new low maintenance lifestyle in the heart of Malmesbury should enquire now to avoid missing out. For more information, visit the show complex open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, call 01666 718 270 or go to www.churchillretirement.co.uk.

THINK: Who would arrange your care and finances for you if you were to lose capacity? Without LPA’s in place this is not possible. Do you understand what happens to your assets if you do not make a will? ACT NOW: LPA’s and Wills can only be put in place whilst you have the capacity to do so. I will explain the importance of making Wills and LPA’s. This will equip you with the knowledge to take advantage of the Will options, healthcare and financial LPA’s that are available to you. Safeguard yourself, your family, your assets and your wishes for now and for the future.
