PRESCHOOL 3 Gives young children ages three to five a positive introduction to water safety. Builds on the skills in Preschool Level 2 and improves participants’ coordination of simultaneous arm and leg actions and alternating arm and leg actions.

For Session 1: September 5-29 and Saturday Lessons, member and resident registration for group swim lessons will begin on August 15. Non-resident and non-member registration will begin on Aug 26. Session 1 swim lesson registration will end September 1. For Session 2: October 3-27, member and resident registration for group swim lessons will begin on September 12. Non-resident and non-member registration will begin on September 22. Session 2 registration will end on September 29. There will be no Saturday lessons on October 1.

PRIVATE/SEMI-PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

The Town of Little Elm offers private and semi-private swim lessons at the following times listed below. We offer 1-on-1 and 2-on-1 instruction. Groups of three or larger will need to all sign up for the same class listed above or contact the Aquatics Program Coordinator thecove@littleelm.org for special pricing. Be aware that our private instructors will only work on skills up to Learn to Swim 3 and nothing higher Private (1-on-1) Resident: $120, Nonresident $130; Semi-private (2-on-1): Resident: $160, Nonresident $180. Please note that each swim class (except private and semi-private swim lessons) has a maximum of six participants per class and a minimum of three participants per class. Classes with fewer than three enrollees the Friday before class is scheduled to start will be moved or combined with other classes in order to meet the minimum enrollment. LEVEL 1 The beginning of a three-level, progression-based program that helps swimmers ages six or older develop their water safety, survival and swimming skills. It is designed to give participants a positive learning experience. Helps participants feel comfortable in the water. Swimmers will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of swimming.

LEVEL 3 The third of a three-level, progression-based program that helps swimmers ages six or older develop their water safety, survival, and swimming skills. It is designed to give participants a positive learning experience. Builds on the skills learned in Learn to Swim 2 through additional guided practice in deeper water. It builds on the foundation of swimming to help improve stroke development.

Our detailed training includes both testing of hands-on skills and comprehension on written tests. The certification, which includes First Aid, CPR, and AED, is valid for two years upon completion. Prerequistes: Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class and must pass a pre-course swimming skills test before taking lifeguarding courses.

Tippi Toes® Dance Company cheerfully provides children with a fun, positive, and nurturing environment to experience the joys of dance, self-expression, and movement. Classes are specifically designed to develop motor skills and body awareness while enhancing each child’s self-esteem.

• Ballet and Jazz. In this class, students learn spatial awareness, build self-confidence, and make new friends! Tippi Toes® teaches a variety of dances in ballet and jazz. The students also learn the basics of each style as well as terms and positions. This is a great class for children who love to be active with encouraging and talented teachers! As always in Tippi Toes®, we can’t have the children go home without exercising their incredible imagination along with a little singing!

Due to time constraints, each season has a drop-dead date which is listed below. All games must be completed by this drop-dead date. Any games not completed by this time will be finished in a drop-dead tournament on a Saturday. This is the only way games are made up should we have three or more rainouts, and no refunds will be given.

Adult Softball leagues are played under USSSA guidelines. Leagues are open to teams only and fees are $375 per team. Teams play eight regular-season games per season, with teams playing one to two games per night. Leagues will have a one-night playoff after the regular season for the top four to six teams. Home run limits for each league are listed below, and all home runs over the limit will be considered an out.

The Town of Little Elm is proud to offer a basketball league for adults on Sundays at The Rec at The Lakefront™. Games are played between noon and 9 p.m., and multiple divisions are offered. This league is a full-court league played primarily by men, and teams are guaranteed six games per season. The Town will provide officials and scorekeepers for games, and teams are required to provide reversible jerseys that have a number permanently affixed to the front or back of the jersey. If teams do not have reversible jerseys, they must have two color options for their jerseys.

Pickleball is open to any age group. Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines badminton, tennis, and table tennis elements. Pickleball requires a membership or day pass to The Rec at The Lakefront™. Pickleball open gym is held on MWF from 9 a.m.-1

This year we will offer free agents the ability to sign up and create new teams. There must be eight free agents signed up to have a free agent team, and the Town will provide reversible jerseys for those teams. The league's first meeting will be on October 2, before league games begin and will be open for pick-up play and for free agents to meet. Registration for the Fall League will begin on August 29 and end on October 2. The first scheduled game will occur on October 9, and playoffs will be available for the top four to six teams.

New for the 2022 year, we will offer a Coed/Women's league in addition to our regular upper and lower divisions. All leagues are 2v2, and teams may use subs when needed.

Registration for the Fall Cornhole Season begins on July 25 and ends on September 1. Games will begin on September 6 for the Tuesday leagues and September 8 for the Thursday leagues. The drop-dead week for this league is November 1-3, and the drop-dead tournament will take place on November 5, if necessary.

Ready, set, spike, and sign up for Indoor Volleyball leagues! Registration is $200 for 4v4 teams and $225 for 6v6. Leagues are coed, and take a max of seven teams per season. Teams will have six games per season, plus one week of playoffs. The first night of each league will be an open play night for the entire league.

Coed/Women's teams must have at least one female each night to play. Leagues are available on both Tuesdays and Thursdays, and all teams must bring their own bags. Each league night is open to the first 40 teams to register, and the cost is $60 per team. Registration includes two stickers/decals per team and 12 league matches (two per night most evenings). Playoffs will be available for the top 4-6 teams in each division. All cornhole leagues have a drop-dead date for each season. All games must be completed by this date. If any games remain to be played on this date, they will be made up in a drop-dead tournament on a predetermined Saturday.

We will offer a 12-week training program for those who register to compete, culminating in the group completing the race in December. Haunted trail tickets are $10 for ages four and up. Kids three and under are free. However, it is scary so keep that in mind when deciding to take kids. Jacko-lantern Trail is family-friendly and lined with lit pumpkins carved by the community. FREE pumpkins for the trail will be available at The Rec at The Lakefront™ the week before the event.

Saturday, September 17 1801 FM 423 McCord Park Pond 9-11 a.m. This is a free fishing tournament for kids 16 or younger. Prizes will be given for the largest fish according to age groups, 2-6, 7-11, and 12-16. The pond at McCord Park will be stocked with 500 pounds of catfish the week of the tournament to ensure a fish-biting good time. Kids can fish any time during the event, but must be present to win any prizes. There will be loaner equipment available to anyone who needs it on a first-come, first-served basis.

OnOktoberfestFridaywe will have a great Oktoberfest celebration! Let the kids play at the carnival while you drink seasonal brews and listen to some great polka music!
