Welcome to the 10th Annual Mayor's Fitness Challenge! We are so excited to be a part of your health and fitness journey, and we look forward to getting to know each of you.
First and foremost, your safety is our top priority. Therefore, please consult your physician before following recipes and workouts.
Participants will be placed into teams for the duration of this challenge. Over the next six weeks, you will receive a weekly email update with information about upcoming events, recipes, spotlights, and more from your staff team representative. In addition, you will be able to keep up with workouts and activities in the Little Elm Mayor's Fitness Challenge Facebook group, as well as share your progress, tips, and encouragement with fellow participants in the Facebook group.
During the Mayor's Fitness Challenge, we will offer a point system that is clear and transparent for everyone. We will hand out weekly awards for the individual and team who scores the most points. You will have many opportunities, listed on the following page, to earn points each week. Our first "Find the Mayor Trail Challenge" will start on Saturday, March 23; however, you can earn some extra points if you snag a selfie with him when you pick up your packet on either March 16 or 17.
To earn extra points, pick up your packet on Saturday, March 16, from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. or Sunday, March 17, from 1-4 p.m. Please see page three for more information on how to earn extra points during the first weekend. The challenge will officially begin on Monday, March 18, and each week will run from Monday to Sunday. For any questions or to submit points, please email LEMFC@littleelm.org
Our goal is to help you live a happier, healthier life. Throughout your health and fitness journey, remember you are your best investment. Small changes today lead to big changes tomorrow! We are here to support and guide you through it all, but YOU are what makes Mayor's Fitness Challenge great. So now...let's get active!
