The world's largest beer festival is Oktoberfest. Held annually in Munich, Germany, it is a 16-day funfair running from late September to the first weekend in October with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year.
Beer commercials in the US aren't really allowed to show people actually drinking the beer. It's a US law that people cannot actually be shown consuming an alcoholic beverage on television.
Beer strengthens bones. It is rich in silicon that increases calcium deposits and minerals for bone tissue.
The foamy head is a very important part of the beer. It is formed by a complex carbon-dioxide reaction and can say a lot about the quality of the beer. If the head is missing, it can mean that your beer is flat and bland-tasting.
Beer helped Joseph Priestly discover oxygen. He noticed gases rising from the big vats of beer at a brewery and asked to do some experiments.

Honey Beer Braised Ribs Ingredients
1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 tsp pepper 3/4 tsp salt 1/4 cup honey 1 bottle dark beer 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 1 bottle BBQ sauce
Directions 1. Combine brown sugar, pepper and salt,. Rub over ribs. Place ribs
bone side down on a rack in a large shallow roasting pan. Drizzle with honey. Combine beer and vinegar. Pour around ribs and spoon over ribs. 2. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Reduce heat to 250 degrees, bake 2 hours longer or until tender. 3. Moisten a paper towel with cooking oil. Using long-handled tongs, lightly coat the grill rack. Drain ribs. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until browned, turning and basting occasionally with BBQ sauce.
Beernana Bread
3 cups self-rising flour 3/4 cup quick cooking oats 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1-1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas 1 bottle wheat beer 1/4 cup maple syrup 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp sesame seeds 1/4 tsp kosher salt
Directions 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. In a large bowl, mix flour, oats and brown sugar. In another bowl, mix bananas, beer and maple syrup until blended. Add to flour mixture, stir just until moistened. 3. Transfer to a greased 9x5 loaf pan. Drizzle with oil; sprinkle with sesame seeds and salt. 4. Bake 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 5. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool.

Beer Barbeque Sauce Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil 1 ⁄3 cup chopped onion 2 tablespoons garlic 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2 cups ketchup 1 cup beer (ale) 2 tablespoons honey Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon molasses 1 tablespoon brown sugar ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions: In a saucepot over medium-high heat, add the oil, onion and garlic; cook until the onions begin to soften, about 4 minutes. Add the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, honey Dijon, molasses, brown sugar, salt, pepper and hot sauce; bring to a boil, then simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the sauce from heat and add the beer. For a smoother sauce, strain out the onions or pulse in a blender.

Beer Glazed Steaks Ingredients
2/3 cup chili sauce 2/3 cup spicy steak sauce 1/2 cup chopped shallots 1/2 cup beer 4 boneless beef top loin steaks (8 ounces each) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper
Directions 1. In small saucepan, combine the chili sauce, steak sauce, shallots
and beer. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 1215 minutes or until slightly thickened. Set aside 1/2 cup for serving and keep warm. 2. Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. 3. Moisten a paper towel with cooking oil, using long-handled tongs, lightly coat the grill rack. Grill steaks covered, over medium heat or broil 4 inches from the heat for 4-6 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness, basting occasionally with sauce mixture. Serve with reserved sauce.

Beer Cheese in a Bread Bowl Ingredients
1 round loaf pumpernickel bread 2 jars sharp American cheese spread 1 package cream cheese softened 1/4 cup beer 1/2 cup real bacon bits
Directions 1. Cut top fourth loaf of bread, carefully hollow out bottom, leaving a 1/2 inch shell. Cube removed bread, set aside. 2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cheese spread and cream cheese.. Microwave uncovered, on high for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Stir in beer, microwave, uncovered, 20 seconds longer. Stir in bacon. 3. Fill bread shell with cheese dip . Serve with reserved bread cubes.
