MAYOR GLEWEN
I would like to welcome you to Beaver Dam, WI, a beautiful, friendly community of nearly 17,000 people centrally located in what we call the “Triangle of Opportunity” between Madison, Milwaukee and the Green Bay/Fox Valley area on Highway 151.
With a well-connected highway system, Beaver Dam residents benefit from easy access to various metropolitan cities while enjoying lower cost of living, a safe and neighborly community and superb schools. With plenty of shopping, dining, a thriving theatre, music and arts scene, golf courses, sporting activities and outdoor recreation, you are never short on quality entertainment and activities.
Outdoor recreational opportunities are abundant, centered on local parks, fishing, boating and paddling the Beaver Dam Lake and River. Beaver Dam is close to several county parks that offer camping and hiking, and we are only minutes from the Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center and Gold Star and Wild Goose Bike Trails.
Beaver Dam is an up-and-coming community due to the efforts and commitment of many creative and talented entrepreneurs, business leaders and community members. We hope you’ll become one of them! We’re always looking for new ideas and energy and would love to have you join us whether it’s for a day or a lifetime! We invite you to be a part of the vision for this city. Again, welcome to Beaver Dam – “Life here is good!”
Please introduce yourself if you see me around town!
