draws hundreds of artisans to Green Lake annually and provides a great opportunity to view and purchase unique pieces.
All that art may inspire you to pursue your own passions for art, and Green Lake offers that too. Many art and education opportunities are available at Town Square, Green Lake’s community center. Town Square offers classes for all ages and interests, including painting, sewing, woodworking, papermaking, photography, and so much more. The Caestecker Public Library provides further opportunities for the arts and entertainment. Catch an author’s lecture or enroll in one of the many classes they offer all year long.
Although small in size, Green Lake has no shortage of stage performances. From Thrasher Opera House’s longstanding partnership with Missoula Children’s Theatre to the Green Lake School District’s annual musicals and plays, there is something for everyone.
Film has also come to Green Lake in a large way. The international organization Freeland holds its annual film festival in downtown Green Lake. With over 900+ film entries submitted, this festival features topics ranging from conservation, nature, and wildlife to stories from many cultures. It's an event you won’t want to miss.
