Cycling enthusiasts will love the scenery around Portage.

Portage attracts cyclists from all over to ride the Columbia County Bike Loop routes. A total of 13 routes plus 3 connecting routes take you to every corner of the county and interesting places in between.

Located in downtown and next to the Wisconsin River, Riverside Park in Portage is a great place to start your journey. Three of the routes begin at Riverside Park, which has plenty of parking and is a nice rest area to come back to. And there are many good places to eat nearby with nice places to stay overnight in Portage.

Experience the natural views of wetlands, waterways, wildlife areas and so much more along challenging hills and downhill slopes once you are on the routes beyond our city. The routes can be found at portagewi.com.
