UW Health operates a number of community-based clinics in the region, including in Portage. The clinic is conveniently located and offers allergy, cardiovascular, gastroenterology, hematology, medical oncology, rheumatology, urology and vascular surgery services. This clinic also provides laboratory and radiology services.

UW Health has expanded Med Flight services to Portage, reducing response times as onboard physicians and nurses tend to patients with life-threatening trauma and medical conditions faster. The UW Health Med Flight base is located on the campus of Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital & Clinics.

SSM Health operates three facilities in Portage: SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Eye Care – a comprehensive eye clinic, SSM Health Dean Medical Group and SSM Health Dean Medical Group Specialty Services. SSM Health’s medical group location in Portage offers comprehensive family healthcare services, health assessments and physicals, preventive medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, minor surgery, foot care and on-site laboratory and x-ray services. In addition, the second floor houses a specialty-services clinic and also offers on-call nursing services. Among the specialties provided are oncology, urology, neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, rheumatology and dermatology.
