Remove bumper— 2 screws in each wheel arch, fixings securing the lower edge of the bumper & under tray, 1 fixing either side of the boot shut panel. Disconnect any wiring, unclip the bumper and remove from vehicle. Remove the impact beam & give to customer. Remove towing eye from left hand chassis & give to customer. Remove & give to customer the steel bar from the top of the exhaust silencer & lower the exhaust from it’s mountings. Remove the 4 rubber grommets on each side of the floor pan. Place captive plates LCP & RCP inside the boot and align with the exposed holes. Loosely attach side arms LSA & RSA to the forward threaded hole in the vehicle chassis using set screw C with washers WA. Note the threads may need cleaning out before inserting set screws. Loosely attach shaped brackets SB to the chassis rails using set screws C with washers WA sandwiching side arms LSA & RSA. Attach shaped brackets SB to captive plates LCP & RCP using set screws B with washers WB. Loosely attach angles LA & RA to the rear panel using set screws B with washers WB. Loosely attach crossbar CB to angles LA & RA using set screws E. Loosely attach crossbar CB to side arms LSA & RSA using set screws H with washers WA. Tighten & check all fixings. Cut bumper as shown in diagram. Refit bumper, exhaust & any disconnected wiring.
Detachable Neck: Atttach to crossbar CB using set screws Z. Swan Neck: Attach to crossbar CB using CPE10 plates (standard orientation) with set screws Y & bolts W Flange Neck: Attach to crossbar CB using bolts A. Attach type approved towball (not supplied) using fasteners G. 15. Check and tighten all fasteners using a calibrated torque tool to the specified torque settings recommended on the towbar drawing.
