Fitting Instructions
GW1 TOWBAR For Greatwall Steed
MATERIALS A 1 Crossbar D 2 Sidearm E 6 M12 x 40 x 1.25 Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (30mm O.D) F 6 M12 x 35 x 1.75 Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and 12 x Bolt Caps. CB 2 M16 x 50 x 2.0 Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers. CP 1 Coupling Packer. ZE 1 Electrical Plate Z11 1 Towball
For use with either This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a ‘D’ and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
FITTING 1. Remove left-hand fixings securing bumper support arms to chassis and insert sidearm (D) between support arm and chassis face and secure in position using fixings (E). Repeat for right-hand side. 2. Attach crossbar (A) to sidearms (D) using fixings (F). Ensure towbar is level and looking parallel with rear step / bumper, fully tighten all fixings. 3. Attach Electrical plate (ZE) , coupling packer (CP) (lower coupling position only)and towball using fixings (CB). Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 139Nm, M10 – 78Nm
