Fitting Instructions
DETACHABLE TOWBAR KA20AU for KIA SORENTO October 2006 -
MATERIALS A 1 Towbar Mainframe D 1 Sidearm (Left Hand) E 1 Sidearm (Right Hand) F 1 Left hand Strap G 1 Right hand Strap H 8 M12 x 35 x 1.5mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (30mm O.D) J 4 M12 x 45 x 1.75mm Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and 4 Flat Washers (30mm O.D) K 4 M12 x 45 x 1.75mm Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and 8 Bolt Caps) L 1 M12 x 100 x 1.75mm Bolt and Nyloc Nut ZQ 1 ZQ2070 Detachable System EP 1 ZEP2 Electrical Plate BC 6 M12 Bolt Caps FITTING 1. Release rearmost exhaust hanger and Bend exhaust hanger upwards approximately 20mm. loosely attach Sidearms (D) and (E) to chassis rail using Bolts (H) (fine pitch) with Flat Washers. 2. Loosely attach Mainframe (A) to Sidearms (D) and (E) using Bolts (K). Attach Straps (F and G) to chassis rails and Sidearms (D) and (E) using Bolts (H) and (J). 3. Align Mainframe (A) with lower edge of bumper and fully tighten all Bolts. Fit Bolts Caps to Bolts (K). 4. Please refer to ZQ manual for fitting of Detachable Unit (ZQ). 5. Attach pinch bolt (L) as shown below and fully tighten. Fit bolt caps (BC). 6. Attach exhaust rubber – check exhaust clearance-adjust hanger as required. Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed. Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
