IDENTITY What is someone’s identity? Is it the way they look, the way they dress, or it could be many things all put together, or is it none of the above? Someone’s identity is a part of his or her being. Nobody will ever hold it, touch it, or even see it, but it is there. Everybody has one, it guilds your decision making, your thoughts, ideas, and dreams. Your identity is unique just like your fingerprint. We see our friends daily around campus, but do we see their identity shine through their everyday actions?
“Technology has always been an important part of my life, and I try to be creative whenever I can. As a computer science major, I can actively combine two of my greatest interests into one.
“Being a middle level educator I am typically working on multiple projects on any given day. I am constantly multitasking and going to a variety of places to get things done.
“I use makeup as an extension of my personality. It reveals a creative aspect of myself that I choose to present through adorning my body. However, being the artist that I am, my taste is constantly changing just as I am constantly evolving.
“Me eating the candy represents my love for food. Me arguing with myself represents my indecisiveness. Me standing off to the side represents my introverted personality. Most of my poses being sitting down represents my laid-back personality.
“My life is tiring and reptitve. It is a never ending cycle of working, eating, and sleeping.
“I spend a lot of time thinking about things I’m not doing at the time. My mind can be in a few different places at any time, but it’s generally in the same places like music, schoolwork, friends, and family.”
“I’m an explorer. I don’t like to stay in one place. I say to myself: it’s time to move on, it’s time to get going.”
“I redraw myself for new perspectives. Self reflection requires an open mind.
“I am a lover of all books. Exploring fantastic worlds and learning about the one we live in is how I find my inspiration as an artist.
“I always take time out of my day to speak with myself. ”
“Games have always been a huge part of my life, from sports to video games to foosball, I love it all. I just wish I could play them all by myself at times.
“I am always looking for new information, no matter what it is about. It could be culture, music, technolgy, or a new way to relax.
“I am represented in my mannerisms and energy. I never sit still and am always sitting in unusual places or positions. I enjoy sitting on the floor a lot and am always perched somewhere.
“Teaching me is my leadership side. Paying attention me is good me. Bored me is bad me. Phone is anti-social me. Talking me is social me. Erasing me is follower me. Sitting on window me is laid back me.
“Even though people come to Kutztown University for academics, it’s not the only community you’ll find here. Between classes and homework, I like to head outside and throw a Frisbee or a football with my friends under the sun.”
