The National Memorial Arboretum comprises 150 acres of trees and memorials. Established in 1997, on a former gravel and sand pit gifted from Lafarge, the Arboretum is the primary focal point for remembrance outside London. The Armed Forces Memorial, at the Arboretum’s heart, is a striking and emotive tribute giving recognition to and thanks for those who have died whilst on duty or as a result of terrorist action since the end of the Second World War.
