First, all of us here at the Thomas Ranch would like to Thank You for taking time to take a look at our catalog and cattle. We think you will be impressed with this years offering and we look forward to visiting with you if you have questions or just want to visit about the bulls and heifers in the offering. This year we are excited to offer a sortable spreadsheet. Which allows you to sort through the offering in order of what is important to you to move your program forward.
The continued high market prices for all aspects of the beef industry continue to be STRONG. High prices for cull bulls are a great reason to update your herd bulls. You not only get a little younger bull, but update your genetic battery.
Cow inventory continues to be low and replacement heifers seem to still be going to market. When the rain comes and folks start holding on to those heifers as we start to rebuild the cow inventory, it will be a great time for those who took the time to invest in good female genetics. We have been working hard on the bull side of our business as well as the female side. We strive to produce not only bulls, but also heifer mates that produce cattle that have both the Genetic appeal and the phenotypical look all of us as good cattlemen and cattlewomen are looking for. Please take a look at the chart in the following pages about the results we have had through the Prime Pursuits Program “Pi” and how the Thomas Ranch genetics have done as a whole compared to all other cattle in this same program. This has all been achieved through careful breeding choices and management.
President Trump and Vice-President Vance have been agriculture friendly right out of the gate. There is a lot of “chatter” right now as to all the things going on with tariffs and exports. We think if we just hold on “Everything Is Going To Be Alright.” Change takes time. And, America will be Great Again.
We would be remise if we didn’t take the time to Thank the people who work here with us day in and day out. Mardy has been with us for twenty-three years. Laura is coming up ten years this summer. Bill has been with us for seven years and lives here at the ranch. Andy, JW, Jady and Danielle LeDoux have been with us for three years, they live at the ranch as well. Cally and her family come and help with all the sales. We also lean on Family, friends and neighbors for a lot of help sale time and throughout the year.
Dr. Dan Herold from Famo Feeds visits us frequently and continues to formulate our rations. We appreciate all these folks for everything they do to help us here at Thomas Ranch.
We also want to thank Farm Credit for helping with the cooking along with Loren Hansen with Crop 1.
There are numerous others who come throughout the year and help with various projects. Everyone who ranches knows the time, energy and commitment it takes to keep everything moving in the right direction and we certainly wouldn’t be where we are today without the commitment from each and every one of these folks.
Come join us for lunch and stay for the Bull & Heifer Sale. Tuesday April 8, 2025 at the Ranch.

THOMAS
Ladies and Gentlemen,
All sale season we have been repetitive about how good the marketplace is and how great things look for the unforeseeable future and we reiterate that again with this opening letter for one of the most reputable, multi-generational family ranching entities known to great stockmen and women both near and far. Harry and Kay Thomas had the vision, the ambition, and the desire with the work ethic to set stakes deep in central South Dakota. That vision and rock-solid foundation built on sacrifice, discipline, and perspective brings us to the Thomas Ranch as we know it today.
Although Harry and Kay are semi-retired, the examples they demonstrated to the next generation and beyond is still employed by the Thomas name in the day-to-day ranching operation. Troy and VeaBea Thomas need no introduction to the seedstock circles as the multi-breed operation is well known especially within the breeds that are represented in this annual sale offering. The power couple endured a multitude of hardships and loss along the way, but they never wavered by pulling hard on those boot straps every morning to take on the next opportunity of life’s blessings or face the next challenge in their continued ranching endeavor.
The TR prefix was certainly made known over the past several decades for phenotypic excellence as the family gathered more hardware and banners than most operations of equal status. The firm sold them as well and as high as anyone to many of the elite seedstock firms throughout the nation as well. However, the focus has always been on making the cattle better than the previous generation and so the annual quest to inject fresh genetics into the program has never ceased. Many a great breed influencing herd sires have carried the TR prefix just like the ones represented throughout this sale book and many reflect that annual investment made by the firm.
Throughout the entire offering, in each breed, new sire groups are introduced in this year’s sale offering. We are very certain that you will find the cattle offered to not only be elite in their presence and build, but also offer data packages that rival some of the very best in the nation. The TR is focused on improving the total animal and your profit potential when you invest into a TR herd sire or female. Those that are past customers know and understand the value these cattle have, especially in their native environment of the Northern Plains and that is why so many of you return annually. For those that are new to the Thomas program, you’re in for an absolute treat as the tide continues to turn more to efficiency and profitability with many options and exit strategies for your feeder cattle and beyond. We encourage all customers, repeat and new, to visit with Troy about your marketing options available through the TR program.
It is our pleasure to welcome you to this annual marketing endeavor at the Thomas Ranch. We are certain that you will like what you see in the pens or on video and that you will be intrigued by the data these cattle have to offer. With the cattle trade as it is, we know that this is the opportunity for anyone to introduce a fresh genetic line to your program regardless of program affiliation. The Thomas Ranch family is on board to assist with whatever necessary to make your buying experience one that is pleasurable and simple. You can also reach out to anyone affiliated with Innovation AgMarketing for suggestions or information regarding the stock between the covers of this sale book as well. We look forward to visiting with anyone about the cattle and the people who represent them. Consider this your invitation to join us on April 8th, 2025, for a great set of cattle and even better hospitality north of Harrold, South Dakota.
We hope that you enjoy the cattle and pray that God continues to bless our nation and protect those who fight to preserve our freedom to ranch and be involved in one of the greatest industries on Earth.
Thank you for your interest,
Graham Blagg Jered Shipman Tim Anderson

Thomas Ranch Angus Bulls Averages
You will notice each bull in the offering carries the Angus GS logo. This is because the accuracies of their EPD profile is enhanced by a genomic test that was created by Angus Genetics and powered by Neogen GeneSeek. Each marker is intentionally chosen to build on the Angus genomic research database and drive the breed into the future. lt offers maximum accuracy for genomically enhanced EPDs at great value, so you can test heifer and bull calves to reap the benefits of faster genetic gain. For more information about the advantages of genomically enhanced EPD’s and the advantages it gives you in your bull selection then check out angus.org/agi/ angusGS - For Angus. By Angus.
The Certified Angus Beef® Targeting the BrandTM Logo will identify animals with genetic predictions focused on carcass quality. The logo requirements can be met when the Marbling EPD is a minimum of +.65 and Grid Value ($G) is a minimum of +55. Sire-identified carcass data from more than 8,600 records in the American Angus Association database show these minimum thresholds for Marb and $G achieve an average of 50% Certified Angus Beef ® acceptance.

• When pounds and performance matter most in the beef business marketplace, we felt that it was only suiting to begin this year’s offering with the scalepounding, performance trait leader with look and presence, TR Statesman 4043M.
• He is a perfect genetic blend of the industry-changing Virginia Tech Stateman from a beautiful daughter of G A R Hometown. She allowed him the opportunity to post a weaning ratio of 113. He went on to perform, convert, and achieve a yearling ratio of 109 with a big REA to ratio 107.
• He ranks in the top 1% for both WW and YW, the top 2% for $W, the top 3% for CEM, the top 4% for CW, Angle, and HS, the top 5% for MW, the top 10% for RADG, MH, and the almighty $F, and the top 15% for $C.

• Truly one of the standouts in the Thomas Ranch offering this year is a son of the very popular sire B A R Dynamic. The cattle by this sire are catching fire and rightfully so as they tend to be cattle with a balance of matching numeric value and undeniable phenotype.
• This stout, dense-built specimen ranks in the top 1% for WW, YW, and $W with one of the more dominant spreads in the business. He too charts in the top 2% for YH, the top 3% for RADG, the top 4% MW, and CW, the top 10% for $F and $C, and the top 15% for $B, and Marb.
• He should sire a set of cattle that will bend the bar for weight and have substantial value with CAB Premiums attached as he is the number one bull for

• Here is the first of several sons of the fresh sire group from Krebs Ranch known as KR Twist 2405. This sire group continues to build a fan base across the western and northern plains with projected heavier use of the sire on the horizon for the 2025 spring breeding season. The past sale feature of the Gordon, Nebraska based operation is leaving a mark for body, muscle shape, and substance of skeletal build and quality.
• 4122 is one that offers the phenotype and balance from end to end. He is big pinned, deep quartered, stout to the surface, and sets high out of his front third. His upper shape is genuine and true to form as he scanned with over 16 inches of REA to ratio 110
• He ranks in the top 3% for Milk and RE, with top 4% for $M, the top 10% for $C, and the top 15% for both $W, $G, and $AxJ as well.
• A grandson of the proven and popular SG Salvation from a very productive daughter of Poss Achievement with the influence of Mogck Bullseye.
• He gets the mark for complete balance on paper and his physical build and design. His physical weights and scans suggest that the circle of production merit is complete as he ratioed 102 for weaning, 109 for IMF, and 105 for REA.
• He is a bigger framed, heavy-duty rancher bull with performance and pay weight credentials. He’s a herd sire prospect that can do it all with top 15% index values for $C, $B, $W, and $G. The profit driver expectations put him in the top 5% for CEM and the top 10% for Marb and PAP.

131 TR RELIEF 4718M ET
• TR Relief 4718M ET brings together the most proven and some of the hottest pedigrees that you will find in the Charolais circles. Being a direct son of the highly demanded, WR Relief J4606 offers him up as a source for those who haven’t been able to access the Relief linage because of the scarce semen supply.
• Maternally you will find him to be a son of the legendary HF Mustang Sally 904 PLD that has built an incredible legacy through sons and daughters that have stood at the forefront of the business for over a decade now. Her genetic potency and hereditability of elite phenotype proves to be timeless here once again.
• TR Relief 4718M ET has a unique combination of eye appeal, power, structural integrity and growth. The immense quality you will find in the flesh, along with his powerful pedigree promotes him to being one of the most unique, and herd changing type herd bulls to come out of the program to date.
Charolais Bulls
• The sons of SVY Mayfield 30H have been long awaited, and we think they stand up to all the hype that has been generated around their debut. TR Mayfield 4719M ET leads off 10 sons of SVY Mayfield 30H that will sell this spring at the Thomas Ranch, and you will notice that the sire group comes built with the extra density and shape that would be expected after an inspection of their impressive sire.
• TR Mayfield 4719M ET comes with a stout build, extra expression of muscle, a round ribcage shape, and impressive flexibility when set into motion, particularity when you take into consideration the hefty load that he sports around.
• His dam, TR PZC Angelana 3763A ET is the result of the most potent combination known to the business, TR Mr Fire Water 5792RET on Thomas Ms Impressive 0641.
• TR EF Mr Mitch M96 is a son of the popular, LT Badge 1538 PLD that is siring cattle that combine real world function with eye appealing looks and longevity built in.
• We love the combination of mass and functional design in this later maturing son of LT Badge, 1538. We predict him to generate value on both ends of the spectrum with high performance feeder cattle that grade with added quality, and at the same time we believe the set of replacement females he will sire will be the type you struggle to let go of.
• His dam was purchased by the Evenson family through the pasture sale, she is a M&M Outsider 4003 PLD daughter of TR Ms Berkly 4711B, a mating that have been incredibly popular and successful.
• TR C&S Troubadour 415 has been a standout of the offering from a growth and performance standpoint.

• The first son of Kashlyn Kreb’s, highly regarded TR CAG Carbon Copy 7630E ET daughter of BRCHE TR Dory 6501, TR Ms Joy 1703J ET. The first daughter she raised as a first calving heifer calf sold last year to Lorn E Harstad, so her strike average is proving to be high in production!
